- Twenty nine year old Jacquee Miller is at a major crossroads in her life. She finally has to face two things she's avoided like the plague since being old enough to vote...responsibility and commitment. At a time when she should be planning and securing her future, Jacquee is content working as an assistant manager at a sneaker store, where she spends far too much of her paycheck on the latest in footwear. She lives in a one bedroom apartment where her rent is perpetually late, and she only pays bills when the threat of her lights or cable being turned off rears its ugly head. Jacquee's heart is in the right place, but her priorities...not so much. Jacquee's boyfriend, Devon, is rapidly climbing the corporate ladder at the bank where he works as a wealth management banker, and is ready to settle down and get married. He's running out of patience with Jacquee's immaturity and refusal to get serious about their relationship and life in general. Even Jacquee's beloved "Grandma Rosa, whose been guilty of coddling her, has joined the chorus of those urging her to grow up...and with things only getting worse, the message finally appears to be sinking in. Then one day Jacquee tells her sister Jasmine about someone called "The Credit Surgeon", who claims that for a fee anyone's credit can be repaired, no matter what it is. Against the urging of her friends and family Jacquee, once again looking for the easy fix utilizes the service. A month passes with no results and Jacquee assumes she has just wasted her money and been the victim of a scam...just like everyone said would happen. Out of the blue, Jacquee begins to get a barrage of calls from credit card companies, high end stores and car dealers offering her anything she wants. Jack knows that's something not right, but and once again she ignores all common sense and goes on a spending spree that would make her the envy of the Kardashians. Unbeknownst to her is that what has actually happened is that he received the pristine credit score that should have gone to a different Jacquee Miller, who's the daughter of a wealthy, but cutthroat Atlanta real estate mogul named RJ Miller. Jacquee's plan to pay for her extravagances by perpetually alternating cash advances does work out as planned and she starts to feel the pressure. Meanwhile, RJ is infuriated once he learns of the mix- up, but can't do anything because credit surgeon gets arrest on fraud charges. The plot thickens as we discover that RJ was only attempting to repair his daughter's credit so that she can use her for a real estate deal that would affect a large number of low-income families in Atlanta. In a strange twist of fate RJ actually tracks down the other Jacquee and tries to get her to "sell out" for her own financial gain, although the offer receives some very serious consideration Jacquee decides to do what's best for someone else other than herself after talking to RJ's daughter Jacquee and reconciling with Devon. In the end Jacquee turns out to be a lot more responsible and mature than anyone thought.
