- "Kumbh" in its literal English translation means "Pot", which emerged from "Samudra Manthan"(Churning of the Ocean) between Gods and Devils. The term 'Mela' signifies'Fair'. "Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv" is one of the four "Kumbh Melas" celebrated by largest spiritual gathering on Planet Earth. Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv is rejoiced by holy dip in the sacred river Kshipra in ancient and religious city Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh).Simhasth Kumbh Maha Parva is based on the celestial line-up of Planets and the Signs of the Zodiac, which occurs every 12 years. Kumbh Mahaparv is held at four places in India - Haridwar, Prayag (Allahabad), Ujjain and Nasik. At Ujjain, Kumbh Mahaparv is specifically called "Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv" because the Sun (in Sanskrit "Surya") is in the zodiac Aries ("Mesh" in Sanskrit) and the Jupiter ("Brahaspati" in Sanskrit) is in the zodiac Leo (in Sanskrit "Simha") when it takes place. There are ten unique and uncommon yogs which exist and facilitate the organizing of Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv.
- Well, I got to know about this international craft fair, first from my friend 'Suman' few years back :) I never realised the beauty of this place until I got to see and do this project in month of February this year. Honestly, I've never seen so many different people form various states / countries coming together and exhibiting their art and craft, food and culture. This project is about meeting wonderful people, their smile, remembering my childhood days, getting close to my soil and knowing a little more about my colourful India. You'll experience the rich showcase of regional and international crafts and traditions, a splash of colours, rhythm of drum beats and joy merge at Surajkund in Faridabad, (Haryana, India) during the first fortnight of each February. The mela (fair) celebrates the unique diversity of Indian traditions and culture in a ambience, created to represent the ethos of rural India. The fair is held with a different theme every year on Indian culture and craft.
- Green Udhagamandalam better known, as ''OOTY'' is the most popular hill station in the South india. Ooty the ''Queen of the Hill'' also known as Blue Mountains is one of the most beautiful hill stations in India. Ooty Located in the Western Ghats of the Nilgiris district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. This slice of paradise remained unknown to the great southern dynasties and it took the British to discover it in the early 1800s. Apart from coffee and tea plantations, trees like conifers, pine and wattle dot the hillside of Ooty and its environs. Summer temperature is rarely higher than 25°c with a minimum of 10°c and winter is are distinctly cooler with a high of 21°c and a low 5°c. Curiously enough.
- This is the journey of deep southern India !. Last year, me and my friend Rajesh went to Thiruvananthapuram ,kerala to attend a friends wedding (Rajeev and Swati). We stayed there almost a week and got to see places like Varkala, Kovalam, Kanyakumari and Rameswaram. While travelling, I managed to shoot a bit and though of making a travel-log. There is so much to see and witness the peace and greenery all over. We enjoyed the south Indian menu and meeting simple people during our stay. I can't say it enough. Kanyakumari,Tamilnadu is the last tip of southen India. Like all edges, there's a sense of the surreal here. At certain times of year you can see the sun set and the moon rise over three seas simultaneously. The Temple of the Virgin Sea Goddess, Swami Vivekananda's legacy, Thiruvalluvar statue is breathtaking. Rameswaram ,Tamilnadu was once the southernmost point of sacred India If all this seems like so much folklore, it's absolute truth for millions of Hindus, who flock to the Ramanathaswamy Temple to worship where a god worshipped a god. Eastern point of the island, Dhanushkodi, only 30km from Sri Lanka, has a natural magic and beauty that add considerably to Rameswaram's appeal. Hope you'll enjoy watching it.

- Recently I have been in Mathura and Vrindavan for few hours for celebrating holi. The place attracts floods of pilgrims particularly during Holi and janamastmi. Holi is known as ''Festival of Colors''. Mathura- the birthplace of Lord Krishna, where Holi is celebrated in the most wild, yet colorful, with sticks, shields, colors, flowers and canons of water. Holi celebration here is a must-have experience. Many of us have experienced this kind of festival. While playing with locals I felt that eyes of each person was narrating a different story so I kept my focus on capturing expressions and mood. It was joyful and wonderful experience.
