- 50 years later, Adriano Zecca returns with his whole family to revisit the Mentawai people in Siberut Island, Indonesia: a journey of discovery, through time and memory, but also a precious ethnographic testimony of a fading world.
- Adriano is a young baker from Abruzzo: he moved to Monza in 2017 and opened his bakery in the heart of Brianza. The love for his land of origin prompted him to take up a particular challenge: to go back to sowing in Campo di Giove, his native town, an ancient variety of native wheat, the solina. After more than forty years of abandonment of the fields, on the slopes of the Maiella, a heroic and timeless mountain agricultural ritual is renewed. Thanks to the collaboration with his friend Domenico, passionate about organic farming, the dream takes shape and the journey that Adriano makes from Monza to Campo di Giove to check the growth of the grain is an opportunity to reflect on the relationship between city and countryside, between large centers and rural areas, in search of a sustainable balance. On this journey, to rediscover his roots, he will meet other protagonists of a choral story that explores the value of traditions, biodiversity and human relationships in the construction of supply chains that respect the environment and human needs. While waiting for the wheat to ripen and, after forty years, for the threshing machine to return to Campo di Giove.
