- The alarm clock wakes up 28-year-old Nafisa a Liberian American girl who is struggling with her sobriety due to a terrible past. She is annoyed when she gets interrupted by her therapist. After several Unpleasant conversations, she left and Nafisa gets ready for work but a invitation became the source of a very bad day. By the end of her shift, she managed to lose her job, assault customers, vandalized the store and overdose of PCP. Days later, she walks into her older sister Grace wedding unexpectedly. Grace was pleased to see her sister. It's been 15 years since they saw each other. Grace introduce her sister to her husband Ernest for the first time. Ernest, is a 35-year-old African-American sports analyst. Grace is very excited to reconnect with her sister, but Ernest is terrified because he unknowingly had sex with Nafisa at his Bachelor party. Ernest's fear of being exposed while he tries to right his wrong lead to more questions so he went searching for answers, and open the family pandora box. He discovers that the Napheesa was the black sheep of the family. She ran away from home when she was 10 and was never seen again until the wedding day. And so the movie begin..
