- In an alternative 1931, in which the Shogunate still exists, a young woman participates in a group of secret agents of the Japanese government with the aim of avenging the murder of her family.

One day in 2015, Kyogoku suddenly wakes up and visits his wife, Kanako. However, she has remarried and rebuffs him. Just at the moment he is behaving violently, he ends up getting arrested by a young detective, Mochizuki Ryota and brought to Yokohama Chuo Police Precinct where he is reunited with his former junior Suzuki and boss Kujira. Kyogoku quickly returns to his position as a detective. However, he cannot comprehend the latest gadgets and the "new wisdom". He keeps ignoring modern rules without a care and getting Ryota, who has been made his buddy, into trouble.
- Kennin Gido (Kei Tanaka) is a detective. He belongs to a mysterious division at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. He is the only member in the division. There, Kennin Gido re-investigates cases that received not guilty verdicts. He searches through testimony and evidence from those cases to catch the real criminals. Kennin Gido is called "Shinigami" ("Grim Reaper") by those around him.

One day, they encounter a mannequin uncle (played by Shôhei Uno). When he releases a video of his encounter with the suspicious mannequin uncle, the number of views on their channel increase dramatically. Viewers begin asking him for advice, and they decide to help solve their problems. However, they soon find their selves caught up in a puzzling case.
- Mitsuru/Mitsuko finds himself at school. He gives a speech silencing the rowdy students. The next day, he tries to skip, but Keiko shows up at his door, and drags him off to work. He inadvertently saves the life of a student Goro.
- Kamiya's dad is abusing her and her mom. Higuma thinks his mom thinks he is fat. Mitsuru is trying to keep his cosplay form from being noticed. He inadvertently stops Kamiya's dad, and helps Higuma understand his mom loves him.
- Mitsuru and Keiko's classes go to a hot spring. Mitsuru struggles to hide the fact that he is a man. Koyama ends up tied to a cross. Mitsuru saves his life, but is someone trying to kill Mitsuru?
- Keiko shows up drunk at Mitsuru's door, and stays the night. Mitsuru dresses as a man, but gets caught by the yakuza he owes money to. Kiryuu tails Shoko to a cabaret, but gets caught by the yakuza. Mitsuru must rescue them all.
- Keiko is not what she seems. She shows up at Mitsuru's up to no good, but he calls upon 'Mitsuko' to protect him. There is a swimming meet at school. Mitsuru gets sucked into a vent, ends up naked, and everyone sees him.
- Mitsuru unmasks, and defeats Keiko. He finds Mitsuko's skeleton, and gives back the ring, becoming himself. His students cry, but when Mitsuru pops up, they chase him. He becomes a nun, but the churchgoers turn out to be his students.
