- Katharina and Peter have been a happy couple for seven years, but they have never lived together. The Munich gallery owner finally wants to give up her apartment in the big city and move in with Peter, who runs a small luxury hotel in Murnau, Upper Bavaria. But the decision to get down to business and turn the long-distance relationship into a common existence under one roof falls through for the time being, literally: Leaky pipes and soaked walls in the new house prevent them from moving in. Out of necessity, the two move into Peter's old place of residence, where his daughter Verena and her three children Saskia, Florian and Benni also live. Not really a problem, but when Verena has to rush to Chile to visit her husband who had an accident, Peter and Katharina take over the supervision of the teenage children - this is not how they had imagined their start in life together: keeping three wild children in check and at the same time with their own peculiarities of the other, which were not an issue with separate apartments. The situation turns out to be a real endurance test for the two of them. So Peter finds out that Katharina rearranges furniture and sorts out his favorite shirts as she pleases. Katharina, on the other hand, is quite stressed out by the unfamiliar hustle and bustle of family life. Nevertheless, she does well. She stands by the teenager Saskia in her love troubles, supports Florian's artistic ambitions and helps the young football talent Benni to get a trial at Bayern Munich. But she hadn't imagined that Peter would primarily take care of the hotel, where the visit of an anonymous tester caused a stir - the pink romance soon gave way to everyday life and the two realized that it was something different to be together to be or to live together. To make matters worse, Katharina then finds out that Peter is deliberately delaying the renovation of their house and thus living together within their own walls - is he getting cold feet? Now Katharina is finally bursting at the seams.

- Everyone is discussing the threat of two-tier medicine - Kathi Pfeiffer, on the other hand, interprets the term in her own unique way: the head of the therapeutic department of a Munich private clinic also treats needy people who actually cannot afford it - and provides everything to her wealthy patients charged. This not entirely legal Robin Hood method becomes her undoing when the old clinic owner dies and a community of investors takes over. The new bosses, who want to turn the traditional house into a luxury clinic anyway, accuse Kathi of fraud and put not only her, but the entire workforce at the door without notice. From one moment to the next, Kathi's entire existence is in danger of collapsing: her colleagues blame her for the layoffs and her private debts threaten to finally grow over her head due to the loss of her job. In this situation, she will also no longer be able to take care of her old neighbor, Ms. Otz. Determined to end her life, she runs to a bridge on the river. However, she is not alone with this idea: Before Kathi can implement it, an elegantly dressed man jumps into the water in front of her eyes. In this situation, Kathi's helper instinct triumphs over her suicidal thoughts: She jumps after the man, saves the man's life and flees with him from the arriving police. The soaking wet bridge jumper introduces himself as Clemens Nutz. He too has had a hard blow of fate. As an unscrupulous financial juggler, he came to power and wealth - until his criminal partner connected him to illegal business and whistled him to the public prosecutor's office as a pawn victim. Kathi takes the volatile top manager in and together the unequal duo decides to declare war on their opponents. Thanks to Clemens' experience in the business world, Kathi's resolute charm and the hacking talent of Kathi's 18-year-old grandson Julius, they manage to collect evidence against the greedy speculators. And it doesn't take long before the two of them get closer to each other in their private search for clues. But then Kathi gets into a situation in which she has to ask herself whether she can really trust her supposed boyfriend from the world of high finance - or whether he is not in cahoots with her worst enemy.
