- Two different mothers in two different worlds. The first one from comes from the western world, lives in France and after a tragic lost of her child is trying to continue living and find purpose of it. The other is coming from completely different world, very traditional, patriarchal society, where things change very slowly and where the women are married as exchange for money. A couple of days after the "event" a real Japanese turned up at the restaurant and demanded the same meal again. From this moment there was no way back. The Japanese loved Rolf Anschütz cooking and his restaurant "Der Waffenschmied" (Gunsmith) soon was honored as the place which offered the best and most authentic Japanese cuisine outside Japan. In the shortest time the Japanese have accepted Rolf Anschütz as one theirs. They celebrate the Authenzität of his kitchen and the "original" Japanese washing rituals before the meals would be served. First diplomats, later Japanese economic bosses and sports delegations were sitting in the pool of the now famous restaurant "Waffenschmied - Japanese department" - naked and side by side with government officials and the brigades of the East German working class. And because the omnipresent communist party cannot close the popular place any more, the state security better known as Stasi took also their seat in the pool. The party soon discovered Rolfs restaurant as a foreign currency bringer and allowed the import of Japanese food and exotic ingredients from a delicatessen importer from West Germany. And while Rolfs Anschütz, in the meantime, wearing kimonos and East German geisha's on his side, philosophies about the peaceful coexistence of the people in the World his restaurant turns into the only really existing "theme park" in East Germany. Who wanted to go for a meal, must order two years in advance - at the end it will be 2 million guests!

Nun stellt sich nach der von Theresa angeordneten Exhumierung heraus, dass der Autounfall als Verdeckung eines Tötungsdeliktes inszeniert war. Zeidler macht sich schwere Vorwürfe wegen seiner Fehldiagnose. Carmens Mutter Heidi Müller ist schockiert. Sie hatte keine Ahnung, dass ihre Tochter als Prostituierte arbeitete. Alle Hinweise, die in die Jenaer Zuhälterszene oder den Kundenkreis von "Alpha" führen, entpuppen sich als Fehlspuren. Offenbar steckt hinter "Alphas" Tod ein sehr viel persönlicheres Motiv.

- The criminal psychologist Annett Schuster and the case analyst Jan Kawig have to solve their first case together when a male body is found near the Wartburg. Huddled in a fridge like the victim is praying. The man was known as the "Judge Merciless" at the Higher Regional Court of Erfurt - revenge as a motive is therefore obvious. Annett Schuster finds religious symbols that refer to the Bible quote "An eye for an eye". When a second body is discovered near an abandoned church, one thing is clear: the investigators are dealing with a serial killer. The search for clues develops into a macabre game between perpetrators and investigators... The unconventional Jan Kawig is a trained carpenter and Thuringian through and through, while the astute criminal psychologist Annett Schuster returns home from the USA after a few years at Boston University. The new team of operational case analysis is headed by Marion Dörner, who prefers flat hierarchies and has to struggle privately with the excesses of her pubescent sons. The team is complemented by coroner Vanessa Sun and detective inspector Sabine Limmer.

Gentle, sensible Ben quietly deals, helped little, with Felix 'cheating' on his ingrate mother with Tabea, suspected-queer classmate Konstantin's appropriate attention, the gambling problem, a party getting out of hand and his own failed attempt to win a US scholarship, having confided only into grumpy grandpa Alex and next Felix, who suggests visiting Nepal together first.

He created the East German "Stasi" and, for over four decades, ruled this most perfidious and effective secret service: 300.000 men, women and children, to control a population of 17 million. Fear was key to the efficiency of the Stasi, and Mielke was the master of fear.

The greedy townsfolk, including the curate, find that anyone who attempt to steal the goose sticks to it, while the bully brothers get their comeuppance in--and from--the forest.

Theresa beschließt, auf eigene Faust zu ermitteln, und ist sich sicher, Antworten im verlassenen Forsthaus ihres Vaters zu finden.

- Sarah Pohl is journalist in a great newspaper of Leipzig and she is now writing an article about an employer (the FCS company) who contracts illegally women and these women work in terrible conditions.His companion Florian Faber, represents Mrs Wörner, a woman who has been hit by the car driven by René Tornow, a candidate who looks for his reelection in the town hall of Leipzig, Mr. Tornow was driving his car under the influence of alcohol.This morning Florian has a meeting with Mrs. Wörner and is quite sure that he can win the trial, because Tornow was drunken and there are several witnesses who can testify it.But Florian speaks with Mrs. Wörner about her work as cleaning lady for the FCS company, but she is not convinced to denounce her work conditions.Sarah Pohl nearly shocks with Dirk Kosinsky,the manager of the FCS company, and asks him for an interview.Later she follows a van which is picking immigrant women for working.Besides Sarah is happy to meet again her former boyfriend Thomas Gärtner who has come to Leipzig.Florian just makes an ironical comment about the arrival of Thomas.
- The young musician Finn is stumbling between the longing for conventional fulfillment and the discomfort of understanding, that it is hard to get along in a niche without any bourgeois conventions. How can he find an alternative draft for his life, that will not lead him in a stuck up, middle class life?
- Urgent call from the clinic: Not for the first time, Dr. Felix Hoffmann the comfortable TV evening for use in the emergency room. He spontaneously takes over the night shift for a colleague. The ward doctor has no idea what consequences the next few hours will have for him and his girlfriend Celine. When a patient dies in the emergency room, Dr. Hoffmann does not believe in a natural death. The Ukrainian Misha Chenkov was part of a cleaning crew at the hospital and was therefore no stranger to him. In addition, he was recently released from the clinic in good health - but his patient file has disappeared. Dr. Hoffman tells his girlfriend Celine about the case. She immediately has a suspicion and wants to investigate the matter. So the two stumble into a criminal case and become more and more involved in the mafia-like machinations of the clinic management.
- Prisoner Edmund Frank is offered a large amount of money by the editor of a magazine, to tell the real story of his crime and the hiding place of the one million Mark he stole from the bank he worked for.
- After receiving a dubious Phone call at work, Eva Konalsky, a typist working at a Steel Factory disappears without a trace. The Saarbrücken Police sends the two cops Liersdahl and Schäfermann to investigate. Both of them have a very different view of how police work should be done and they are not very fond of each other at first. When another person of the Steel Factory's personnel is murdered they both have to do their best to solve the case.
- The East German authorities are calling the West German Police for assistance on a case. The body of a boy was found at a Truck Stop near Leipzig. The boy wears shoes made in West Germany. Some time later the assistance call is withdrawn. Phoning his colleague in East Berlin, a man he worked together with in the past, investigator Paul Trimmel in Hamburg is told: "There is no work for you here." But Trimmel investigates on his own. He finds out that the wealthy Erich Landsberger is the illegitimate father of the dead kid. Landsberger and his other son have moved to Frankfurt. Trimmel pays him a visit there. The man is of no great help for him, but Trimmel gets an unexpected clue from Landsberger's little son. He has to go to Leipzig himself to find out more. So he leaves the Transit Route near the city, pretending his car broke down, takes a Taxi and goes looking for Eva Billsing, the dead boy's mother. She is not home when Trimmel arrives. The next day Trimmel encounters Eva's boyfriend Peter Klaus, who works for the East German Police, and talks him into letting him have a word with Eva. At least Klaus gives in to Trimmel and the things Eva tells him help solve the case.
- A dead woman found in the Donau, is the wife of a very important guest of the Austrian Government. Oberinspektor Marek is asked to investigate the case very gently.
- Brigitta Beerenberg calls the police to inform them she has killed her husband in self-defense. Trimmel wants her to be examined by a psychiatrist.
- Max Bergusson hijacks flight AE612 from Milaan to Beirut. His wife's murderer is on board and he demands the captain to fly to Hamburg instead. Before he boards the plane, he informs Hauptkommissar Trimmel through a curious message.
- After a few days away from home with his girlfriend constructor Breuke from Sieverstedt hurries home to convince his wife he is not having an affair. On the road home he hits a bicyclist, but drives on instead of calling an ambulance. Arriving at his house he deliberately hits the post of the driveway gate to disguise the damage of the accident. All the while he is unaware that his wife is watching him. Hauptkommissar Finke arrives in the village after the local police has taken Peter Reichert as a suspect. His assistant wants to investigate further. Meanwhile Breuke is being blackmailed by an unknown person. Then an actual murder takes place.
- In Frankfurt con man Johannes Stein is making easy money with his latest trick: He is selling "Gold" to unsuspecting people. He too talks the Wimper family into buying some, later to be stored in a Swiss bank. After seeing proof, Grandpa Wimper is eager to buy. Little does he know about that "Gold". When Stein tries to sell some more to a business tycoon, he gets busted and has to flee. It's now up to investigator Konrad to track down the swindler and to arrest him.
