- Several known criminals already have been murdered by a professional killer, leaving no trace but the "ace" game card. The police suspects a new mob is trying to take over the district. The investigating police officer Jan is victimized by a bomb himself, when he's at his girlfriend Daniela's father's Italian restaurant. Although paralyzed and suspended from work, the tuff cop continues to investigate and takes revenge on the gangsters who did this to him.
- A series of cruel ritual murders puts Vienna in fear and terror. For the commissar Dorn the case will soon become very personal and has tragic consequences.
- Musician Paul Bachmann happily runs an instruments store in the Bavarian town Dürnstein. - The movie takes place in Budapest in 1904. Two boys gangs are opposed. On the one hand "the boys of Via Pal," the other the "red shirts". The battlefield is precisely the area around the Via Pal. The plot has several differences compared to that of the novel: it is said, for example, of a friendship between the grandmother of Csele and Jano Guardian, both absolutely marginal characters (the grandmother even in the novel is only mentioned).

Daniel approves of her total patient-care concept but refuses to become the new medical chief. However he enjoys being a substitute father to her preteen son Frederik enough to stay around longer. Then fate intervenes.

- After separating from his wife, the passionate hotel manager Markus Winter wants to change his mind in the magically beautiful landscape of Thailand. But his busy aunt Dorothea, a passionate amateur astrologer and successful catering entrepreneur, has bought a dream hotel on the beautiful island of Phuket that spoils its guests with comfort and Far Eastern magic. Dorothea knows only too well that Markus has the necessary talent to get the slightly ailing business back on track. Since he can't refuse his aunt anything, Markus spontaneously takes over the job of manager. This means a bitter fate for director Simon Vogler, who has always managed the lovingly furnished hotel in an exemplary manner, but has recently made a few blunders. But Markus trusts his knowledge of human nature and gives Simon another chance. A good decision - because when Markus once again has to manage a thousand things at the same time and there is no time for his daughter Leonie, who has unexpectedly arrived, Simon takes good care of her. Since the two managers pull together, the hotel soon shines again in its former glory. Besides, Markus, who doesn't show all the stress, still has an ear for the personal needs of his guests: Ariane Thermölen wants to get divorced after twelve years because her husband Jan and she have grown apart. In his sensitive way, Markus finds the right recipe for the two of them - as well as for the clumsy teacher Helen: Markus and Leonie quickly transform her into a princess who finds her great love in the handsome pop promoter Daniel. Soon everything runs like clockwork, only Simon seems depressed, although Markus has long since promised him the post of deputy director. But Simon has been at odds with his Thai daughter Suay for years and doesn't even know that he is already a grandfather. Markus has a wonderful idea.
- Dorothea von Siethoff, owner of an international chain of select hotels, sends her nephew Markus Winter incognito to Mauritius. The experienced Hamburg hotel manager should get an idea of whether Tina Berger is not overwhelmed with the management of the luxury hotel. The efficient Tina has worked her way up from a simple chambermaid to acting director and knows the business inside out. Tina pampers her guests, who feel like they are in paradise on the hotel's own beach, with great care and every imaginable comfort. But at the moment she is torn between work, motherly duties and a relationship crisis with her unsteady boyfriend Klaus. Tina has noticed that her managerial qualities are to be tested. Stupidly, she mistakes Pastor Stefan, the frugal winner of a competition, for Frau von Siethoff's spy and does her best to sweeten his vacation. Tina's assistant Janin takes care of him so attentively that the spark between the two soon jumps over. Markus, on the other hand, is plagued by bad luck: from the transfer to the hotel to accommodation in a broom closet, everything goes wrong. Assuming he is from the staff, Markus is even ordered to clean the pool. The discerning hotelier initially has every reason to thoroughly doubt Tina's abilities. As a professional, however, he soon recognizes her professional strengths: In fact, she has everything under control and can improvise charmingly even under the greatest stress. Markus feels more and more attracted to the impulsive woman, and Tina also falls in love with this extremely charming gentleman "Meier". But when she finds out who she is actually dealing with, even the starry sky over Mauritius cannot match the mood brighten more.

- Markus Winter starts his term as general manager of his Viennese family's hotel group in Sun City (South Africa)'s luxurious Palace resort. Marcus's good friend Wösner seeks a wife as stepmother for his three enterprising children. Marcus's daughter Leonie gets obsessed with the fate of the Zulus and even supports tribal-ecologist opposition to the hotel's plans for golf links. Other guests deal with more romantic issues.
- Marcus visits his hotel group's UAE desert resort in Abu Dhabi for business deals with crafty locals and a moody heiress. Single mother Renate Frey seems to seek a father for her fine son Tobias. The boy takes to local yacht tour captain Lutz Kemper and vice versa, but that's no coincidence.
- Hotel chain boss Markus Winter accepted to arrange the grand wedding of Anna Brand with a Chinaman in his Peking establishment. Alas she invited her dad without telling the truth, which requires quite some urgent work with both families. Archaeologist Loretta Boehme is in China looking for Thomas Ritter, a restorer, while her son, wheelchair-ridden stud Fabian, finds some hope in traditional Chinese medicine.
- Markus Winter visits his chain's hotel in the Dominican republic. He's joined by his adoring and adored godson Sebastian Sellmann, who refuses to have his whole life planned by his dad, Dr. Norbert Sellmann. Hearing about the fugue, the bossy businessman from Hamburg joins them. As usual, several love affairs blossom and/or face troubles.
- The psychologist Dr. Wendelin Winter travels to Sweden with his pretty daughter Alexandra. Winter is scheduled to give a lecture on hunting at Lund University. In order to prepare, he has accepted the generous invitation of the wealthy shipyard and landowner Gunnar Larsson, who organizes a traditional moose hunt with friends and relatives. Meanwhile, Alexandra has joined the good-looking environmental activist Ole, who has organized an outdoor camp nearby. When the hunting party wants to leave the next day, Winter experiences a surprise: Determined animal rights activists, including Ole and his daughter Alexandra, want to prevent the moose hunt with a human chain. But the heathers have their means to keep annoying demonstrators at bay. As soon as they are on the prowl, the inexperienced winter loses touch with the hunting party. Wandering around alone, he hears a scream and finds a lifeless body on the forest floor. Then a blow hits him in the back of the head. When he comes to, the supposed corpse has disappeared without a trace. The next day, Larsson's friend and business partner Malte Hendriksson was found dead with a gunshot wound. Commissioner Svensson assumes a hunting accident. Winter is not so sure about that, however. The soul doctor has since found out that Larsson had a motive for murder: he knew about the relationship between his pretty wife Lisa and Hendriksson. Larsson's sister Helena, who was once shamefully abandoned by the womanizer Hendriksson, also had a motive. Helena's daughter Birge also had good reason to send Hendriksson to hell: the beautiful young woman has been in a wheelchair since a car accident in which Hendriksson was not innocent. The only thing that Winter isn't quite sure about is the grumpy estate manager Pelle.
- Markus Winter visits his chain's Malaysian hotel resort. Finding his friend's small hotel's lease renewal is denied by land owner John Wong, he promises to help if possible. Cuckolded by his wife with another lobed one, international star pianist Sascha Sorell stays incognito after canceling all concerts indefinitely. Trough her daughter, he strikes up a friendship with Sabine Kilian, actually a boulevard reporter. A workaholic business executive's relationship with his devoted PA is up for evolution.
- Markus Winter visits his Capetown hotel. His buddy Jonathan Beckett, who emigrated to Australia 30 years ago, visits his brother's wine estate, only to find it's now run by his ambitious but bitter orphaned nephew Leonard, who isn't really that. Coast reserve director Lukas Hafner has an affair with the German architect of a soccer stadium he and the local youth oppose. safari reservation veterinarian Dr. Mike Kubach broke a leg, so Markus recommends a colleague he met on the airplane.
- Markus Winter knew better than to actually expect relaxation when visiting his chain's Northern Thailand hotel at Chiang Mai. He helps trace down a treasure diver with his partner and wife. Nerd Moritz knew better then expect his flirtatious brother Jens to stick to their no-girls pact, but a photographer seduces Moritz for a change. Businesman Hermann Lehmann ruins the holiday for himself and his wife Ursula by his hostile attitude when their daughter Meike (18) present her fiancé, fitness entrepreneur Philipp Schmitt.
- Markus Winter visits his chain's Sri Lanka hotel, just when socialite multimillionaire Gregor Pohlmann makes his typically dashing entry, the start of lots of flirtation and generosity, yet without actually laying down the cash. Leon Groß, who gave up his German business career to start an orphanage for wild elephants, is Markus's pick to help a grieving widow pick up her life. A botanist with butterfingers is granted a gardener's job so she can afford her own investigation.
- Markus Winter expected to lie back as he visits his hotel chain's Malevives branch, happily run by his daughter Leonie. But he's as busy, finding among the guests his 20 years ago ex Eva Ruhland and her daughter Nikola. Düsseldorf businessman Alexander Weigend didn't even intend to unwind, but has to as his luggage got switched with Berlin marine biologist Sandra Bohland's. Stefan Färber shows endless patience with his brat Lena after recently loosing her mother in an accident, while his new lover Greta Junghans can't wait to take her place.
- When Markus Winter visits his Tobago hotel, a well-groomed man washed up with amnesia on the Caribean shore and falls in requited love before being identified as a married Trinadad socialite. The hotel manager's estranged father Paul Trondheim ultimately wins her confidence back after turning his great vice, a former gambling addiction, into charitable good for a hospital-orphanage threatened with closure for a recreational project.
