The Frog becomes a widow's adopted son, while the Dope falls in love. When Rose almost falls for a millionaire, Tom overcomes his murderous jealousy and, renouncing his past, declares his love. After the Patriarch dies, Tom and Rose marry.

The king falls in love with Gladys, but Trent catches them in a compromising situation, and blackmails the king into completing their business deal. The king leaves the United States and Gladys forever.

- Reckless heir of an influential San Francisco family, Perry Danton must prove his worth by taking a job with the family lawyer before he is entrusted with the Danton fortune. When Perry's fiancée Camilla mistakes criminal Slim Attucks for Perry, Attucks realizes that he can take advantage of the resemblance and concocts an elaborate plan, installing his cohorts in positions close to the Dantons. He then has Perry shanghaied onto a steamer bound for Honolulu. Taking over Perry's job and fiancée, Attucks soon becomes so familiar with Perry's affairs that Perry can make no one believe his story when he returns. After enlisting the aid of the editor of a major newspaper, Perry confronts his double in the lawyer's office, where a test is administered that supports Attucks' claim, thanks to Perry's feeble knowledge of his own affairs. Perry is spotted by a banker whom Attucks had previously robbed and is subsequently arrested, but a reporter who believes Perry's story arranges for his release and for yet another confrontation, this time in Perry's home. All the evidence points against Perry until his dog recognizes his true master, exposing Attucks' charade. Camilla tells Perry that she has known of the deception for some time, but that she would not speak up until Perry had proved true to the Danton motto: "Always Audacious."
- Dr. Hobart Hupp believes he can cure criminals by surgery, and experiments on Dago Red, who has been promised freedom if the operation is successful. Hobart drives to his wedding later that day, unaware that his fiancée, socialite Estrella De Morgan, is actually in love with young Arthur Simmons. Along the way, charming Annabelle Landis mistakes Hobart for her chauffeur, and he drives 300 miles to her home while deciding whether he wants to desert his waiting bride. Upon her arrival, Annabelle is intercepted by her parents, who demand that she marry the man of their choice. Dago Red comes to the doctor's rescue and they escape to an island, accompanied by Annabelle and a minister. There they find Estrella, who has eloped with Arthur. The parents arrive soon after to find Hobart married to Annabelle, and Estrella married to Arthur.
- Dedê is a young wealthy man who buys a shoe store, owned by his friend Robert, in order to receive more conveniently his mistress. Everything seems fine and Dedê seems to be enjoying all of this. But the man barely knew that he would fall in love with one of the many pretty vendors of his new "acquisition", favoring this new girl over the previous one.
- Actress-manager Helen O'Hara flirts with wealthy adventurous clubman Richard Carlin, about to leave for Zululand, who says that pursuing African women, guarded by their large, jealous males, is more thrilling than courting "civilized" women. After Helen introduces Richard to her husband Terry, she appeals to Richard's sense of daring and invites him to a mountain camp, where she initiates an embrace, which Terry interrupts. A subsequent duel leaves Terry badly wounded. As Helen tells Richard that she met him earlier in college and now loves him, a dam gives way, and they work together to replace its logs so that a hospital downstream housing crippled children will not be harmed. Richard then kidnaps Helen and takes her aboard a yacht. After harbor police board the yacht, Richard leaps into the water and strikes his head on a police patrol boat pursuing them. Richard awakens to find that Terry, unharmed, is really Helen's brother, and that she has succeeded in making him fall in love with her, even though she is "civilized."

Hurt by the snubbing she receives from her friends, Teddy settles down and agrees to become an old-fashioned wife to Billy.
- Abe Potash and Morris Perlmutter, partners in a garment company, hire Boris Andrieff, a poor Russian violinist, as a fitter. Boris falls in love with Irma Potash to the disappointment of Abe, who had hoped for his daughter to marry Feldman, a wealthy lawyer. The violinist is arrested after a labor agitator is shot on the company premises, and the scandal threatens to ruin Potash and Perlmutter. However, the man recovers, and Boris marries Irma with her father's blessing.

Falkland plots to frame his wife for adultery, thereby forcing her to consent to a divorce, by placing her in a compromising situation with Prince Cerniwicz. However, an old flam of Lady Falkland's, Colonel Loring, comes to her defense.

Believing that they want to get married, the intoxicated mayor marries Bob to Colette in Larry's name. Bob and Colette later take the train for Paris, where Larry is introduced to his new and unexpected wife. Larry immediately falls in love with Colette and arranges for her to stay with him, but she remains his wife in name only. Bob becomes engaged to Gloria, one of Colette's friends. At a house-party, Collette disguises herself as one of Larry's old girl friends in an attempt to test his love and loyalty. After considerable confusion and misadventure, Colette and Larry perceive their mutual love and make plans actually to be married.
