- Baran, a protestant blacksmith arrives in the little village of Lakotice to kill Sekal, a cruel Nazi collaborator.
- Everybody needs to find some kind of motivation, a feeling that there is sense to his life. It is much harder to find this basic value when one gets older. Ota's (Radoslav Brzobohatý) act consists of the fulfillment of his long-standing dream of the beautiful actress Jana. Earlier, when he was still full of vigor and she was young and beautiful, he couldn't find the courage to approach her. Now Jana (Jirina Bohdalová) accepts his gesture because she also feels she is nearing the end of her rope. They spend two days together on the run, two days that return the sense they have lost from their lives.
- Recent Czech history as seen through the story of one of their basketball teams.
- Feature film based on a true story that took place during Vaclav Havel's vast amnesty in early 90s.
- Vladimír Michálek's fourth feature based on a book by Jáchym Topol (who had a hand in writing the script). This film about a drug dealer named Mikes (Jan Cechticky), who lives in Prague and longs to escape his own clichéd life, excels for its raw atmosphere and expressive acting. The movie was shot digitally and then transferred to film, and this became its main artistic attribute.
- An absurdist look at the life of an ex-politician.
- 33-year-old Roman is one of twelve people who decide to undergo group therapy in an isolated community in order to tackle their drug addition. Like the others, he also brings with him a murky past which he tries to come to terms with - perhaps it will help him find a new life for himself. But in this thickening atmosphere of suspicion and lies, who can still be trusted?

One day the boy's cup of patience with his domineering mother overflows, he drops out of his studies, leaves home and finds a job at the post office. But mother finds him of course and is about to insist on her own way as usual. Jarda is unexpectedly helped out by the ghost of Mr. Kercl, a thief who had the bad luck to lose his life while trying to rob Jarda's mail-bag. Mr. Kercl's ghost helps Jarda several more times, but in exchange Jarda is to help him achieve definite entry into the land of the dead. But it is no simple matter to set right earthly sins and deserve eternal peace, and so they must both try really hard.
