Since then, she will know the Court and will live closely the various plots to betray the king, and discovers all around her the awful taste of deceit, jealousy, betrayal and intrigues of the Court. There is only one man capable of making her keeping her faith in life: Bussy d'Amboise.
- Long ago, the architect Stuart Pedrell told his family that he was going to the South Seas. However, his daughter Yes has recently received a postcard from her father that comes from a far less exotic place: L'Hospitalet. War, exile, oppression, expectancy always disappointing, and at the same time feeling renewed, for a better world. Life goes on.

- A time and place described through the life of Onofre Bouvila, this film is based on a famous novel exposing the 20 or so year time frame which transformed Barcelona, starting in the late 1880s. Onofre is a youngster down on his luck, abandoned by his fortune seeking father to a life of poverty and misery, alone with his mother. Once an adult, he also decides to seek fortune, and travels to Barcelona on the eve of the Universal Exposition of 1888, which so transformed the city. He immediately falls in love with Delfina, daughter of the owner of the hotel he moves into. Onofre searches for a job in this teeming city full of violence, criminals, sickness and poverty. He finds nothing. Unable to pay the hotel, he accepts a suggestion from Delfina: to produce and distribute pamphlets, during the Exposition, in support of the anarchists - a group she actively promotes, in the defense of the workers. Their relationship quickly turns into passion. But police repression dissuades him from political activity, and he returns to his original ambition of seeking fortune, at odds with Delfina's values. This transition will not only change his socio-economic standing, but will represent a political break which may turn Delfina away from him.

Newfoundland means struggling against the sea and the elements, against accidents on board. Against love and death.
- Yaasin, a policeman from Tangier who has almost become an alcoholic, spends most of his time in an exclusive brothel. Several characters arrive in the city at the same time: the millionaire Eric Burns; the German woman Eva Miller who, with her little daughter Gudrun, makes herself a living by doing frauds and small thefts; the smart gangster Rustum Wadi who is looking for a talisman that at that moment is in the hands of Andrews, a homosexual British collector. Yaasin is supposed to protect Burns, but when Andrew's corpse appears the case takes an unexpected turn.

A bourgeois social class surpassed by the events of its social environment. It is not more than the end of a world represented in a family, the Lloberola's, which set them as the symbol of this social environment in disintegration.
- Evelina's dream is to become an international well-known chef while she peels potatoes at the restaurant of her idol, the famous chef Ferran Barrera. She studies cookery. One day Evelina and Ferran meet in a party and they fall in love. But she knows everything about him and he doesn't know anything about her. Of course, she has no intention of letting him know.
- In 15th century Spain all Jews and Muslims were ordered out of the country by Queen Isabella. Young Joshua and his family flee the country with other exiles, and eventually settle in Italy. This thoughtful and reverent religious drama explores the nature of prejudice and intolerance.

With the assistance of the public defender, and then of a police inspector who realizes there are some dark spots in the case, she starts a double procedure: she will face the blind and deaf justice and the media, as well as the xenophobic and conservative society. Her actions, even if direct and sincere, lead to many problems. Finally, after having gathered many evidences that prove his son's innocence but are not enough to reopen the case, the mother finds out the culprit: a rich industrialist of the area. As she has no more options, the mother starts a hunger strike to oblige the institutions to reopen the case and to get the industrialist to get himself up. Will she achieve her objective? Will her son be released from prison?

- Alex, an ambitious photographer, is visited by her friend Bernard, who asks her to help him finding his wife, Soon Yin, accused of conspiring against the Burmese regime and who disappeared a month before. Alex accepts helping him because of their friendship, but also because of the professional possibilities of the trip. After finding out some information, she finally finds Soon Yin and they both escape towards the frontier with Pakistan. In the jungle they have to overcome all kinds of difficulties: hunger, fighting against Burmese soldiers, injuries. Finally they meet the Karen guerrillas, an ethnic group who struggles against the regime. But, even if they seemed to be of help in the jungle, the women finally realizes that they have become their prisoners. Alex and Soon Yi have to gamble their freedom on the roulette with Khun Sa, and they win. Unharmed, they will finally be able to leave Burma, and Alex will have a good collection of photographs.
