The Orville: The Road Not Taken (2019)
What can I say but WOW!!!
Fantastic ending to a really great Season 2. Another must see episode.
Had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Thought I'd never say this , but thank goodness for the commercial breaks. Gave my heart a couple of minutes to recover between scenes. LOL
If FOX cancels this series, I'm going to be really pissed. Lots of things to build on for Season 3, plus the chance to begin new threads and adventures.
My favorite show on TV by far.
Go Seth!
The Orville: Nothing Left on Earth Excepting Fishes (2019)
Another unfinished thread for Season 3??
There are several unfinished threads this season that could be picked up in Season 3! This is one of the better ones along with the possibility of peace in general with the Krill. Of course, the 2 brilliant episodes with the Kaylons and Isaac is another possibly unfinished thread for Season 3.
There other threads that could be extended including the two separate Moclan worlds, one dominated by males and the other with all females except for two males who stayed behind.
All these and more could fill up at least half of the schedule for a Season 3. Gosh I sure hope Fox renews this series!! Season 3 was a big leap forward in the quality of the storytelling, the musical background, and the graphics for a few of the episodes.
PLEASE FOX, KEEP THE ORVILLE!!!
The Orville: Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow (2019)
Have to give this 10 stars to counter dissers!
Normally I'm not thrilled with time travel plots. There are always so many questions on how the possible chain of events in "reality" can be affected in such situations, that I usually get a headache trying to analyze the potential consequences.
In this story, I just tried to sit back, relax, and go with the flow. In this way I was able to enjoy the story as presented .... Until the ending. If you watch this episode, you will know what I mean.
Will the Orville explore the possible consequences of the seeming change in events initiated by the "young" Kelly when she is returned to her original place in time? I don't know, but maybe the next episode will have something to say about that.
In any case, I found this episode very entertaining, including the brief episodes of humor. Especially at the end with Bortus and Klydon dancing at the club. I guess Moclans don't do too much dancing on their home planet. LOL
The Orville: Sanctuary (2019)
Interesting Social Commentary Episode
Now we have 2 planets in the Orville universe that harbor Moclans. One dominated by the male of the species and the other dominated by females.
This dichotomy sets up some interesting possibilities/questions. Will the two planets resolves their differences and move from a truce to, if not a peace agreement, at least peaceful relations?
Also will the female dominated planet allow breeding between males and females or only between females? In either case, with a starting population of only 2 males and 6,000 females, it would take a lot of time for this imbalance to be corrected. Unless of course there are Moclans on the male dominated planet who might wish to emigrate to the female dominated plant.
Lots of interesting possibilities for extensions and developments of the Moclans race.
The Orville: Lasting Impressions (2019)
Note to FOX:
Better keep this series going for a third season. It is one of the best (if not THE best) series left on FOX.
Thank you.
The Orville: Identity (2019)
Watched Again Last Night (3/28/19)
Still think this is the best episode (so far) for both seasons of this TV series.
Can only hope for more like this one. It had great action, plot twists galore, and beautifully appropriate background music. The brief doses of humor were well done as well, especially considering the seriousness of the overall theme.
