Lady and the Tramp (2019)
Just forget the original for ONE second!
Because this is really enjoyable. Makes for such a good nice evening to watch it.
Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)
This was HILARIOUS!
I can't see how this movie was boring. You got the humor, the action, the excitement, the ACTING?! (and that ending tho...) This really was taken to the next level compared to the fist one. But that doesn't necessarily mean it's better. I don't know which I like better. The 2017 version is like the "standard" version of Jumanji introducing us to an amazing cast and filled with laughs. This movie builds on that concept and takes it further with a more diverse plot and new characters.
What I DID find dissapointing was that I felt that the fight with the villain was too short and over. But darn this movie was so FUNNY. I came out of the cinema with my stomach hurting because I laughed so much.
John Wick (2014)
Watching Keanu Reeves kick ass is so worth 101 minutes of my life
Almost no plot whatsoever but this man knows how to make an action movie appealing to the audience. Even me who doesn't like these types of movies.
Warm Bodies (2013)
This is so sweet
This movie was a pleasant surprise. It's so cute and unique and you can't help but love R. I just wanna protect him >~<. Besides R the best thing about this movie is its concept. And it's portryed really well. And yet this movie doesn't feel like higher than an 8 for me. But definitely give this a watch
The Lion King (2019)
Great, but minor details keeps it from a 10
It's a very good representation of what The Lion King is and what it's about. And I highly respect that. Now there were some minor details that were, not bad, just not that good. And the details were following:
Voice cast - nothing wrong with the voice actors. I think it's more like how they portrayed their character. It's not very memorable.
Songs - I do love the soundtrack if The Lion King. And in this they changed it a little. Again, it's not that something's wrong with the singers, songs and how the songs were written but again, morre about the way they were portrayed. It felt far-fetched, as if they were trying to achieve more with the singing.
Can You Feel The Love Tonight - now a lot of people agree with me when I say that the Can You Feel The Love Tonight scene in this movie did not do justice to the original scene. I was sad about this. And not necessarily because the scene was in broad daylight. But I felt like something was missing. I didn't get this nostalgic feeling.
BUT. Aside from these minor details, there were some great things about this movie.
The opening - ooooh how I LOVED the opening. So beautiful, so stunning and SO nostalgic. I got total goosebumps and I really loved it.
The fight scene between the hyenas and the lions - now THAT was something. It got me really pumped up and I loved how it was done. I think it conveyed a lot of Simba's determination, you know what I mean?
Timon & Pumba - not as great as in the original but how can you not love these two whether it's animation or live-action? I love these two and they were so humorous.
And more... - visuals, new scenes etc.
Watching this movie, I felt like a little kid again. Obviously, no movie is able to satisfy the likes of every single individual. I think you should give this a shot and determine for yourself whether this is to your liking or not.
Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)
Spider Man: Far From Homecoming
Such a fun enjoyable movie. It's also emotional, and visuals are very stunning. Plot, character development, cast, visuals etc. is amazing! One of the best movies MCU has brought us. Way better than Homecoming
Rurôni Kenshin: Densetsu no saigo-hen (2014)
How does the director manage to make yet another awesome action-packed Kenshin movie??
HOW?! Director, please teach other directors how to make live-action movies right. A lot of the original plot was changed but wow it was done in a splendid way! The director really knows what he's doing. And can we give a shout-out to the action director because the fight scenes in this is INSANELY AWESOME, BEYOND DESCRIPTION OF WORDS. And the fact that no stuntmen were used, that the actors did the whole thing? RESPECT!
Plot. Amazing. Cast. Of course it's amazing too. Action. AWESOME!
Rurôni Kenshin: Kyôto taika-hen (2014)
What a great sequel
I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this. I didn't expect it to be as good as the first movie but this was so good! I love the cast, the action and the way the director went with this. Such a good live-action movie!
Rurôni Kenshin: Meiji kenkaku romantan (2012)
Excellent movie that lives up to the anime
I loved this. I think they did a perfect job adapting the anime into this. Some things were changed so they were able to fit as much of the plot into this 2-hour long movie as possible. And I loved how they did that. The plot I loved. The cast? I ADORE. I can't think of a better cast for this movie, and the actor playing Kenshin, perfect! One of the best things about the movie is the fight scenes. The fight scenes especially those with Kenshin in them are so good!! This is definitely one of the best anime/manga-turned-into-live-action ever.
What gives this movie more points is the fact that it is still very good even if it weren't an adaptation of the manga/anime. It's a very good movie about swordsmanship in the Meiji era in Japan. This movie still stands a very good chance on it's own and you rarely see that with anime/manga-turned-into-live-action. I LOVE THAT!
La La Land (2016)
Great message, not so great movie
The pace was so annoying. And the plot got too complicated and I just think it's boring. I really wanted to like this and I'm having a hard time rating this. It's just not what I expected and I am just so dissapointed. I love the message about sticking to your dream and the movie portrayed it well, just in a kind of annoying way...I don't know how to explain it with words.
Power Rangers (2017)
Never been into Power Rangers
I wasn't into Power Rangers growing up but I decided to watch this. And I really liked it. Surprisingly more than I would have thought I would. I think this is a very good movie to watch if you're a new fan. This movie is so emotional and it's really good. I especially love the character developments and I just wish there was a second movie.
Shazam! (2019)
Great movie but not flawless
Very enjoyable movie. Loved the plot, the characters (most of them at least). Zachary Levi I love you!! He did such a great job on this. I really liked this movie but somewhere along the way some things were just...wrong, I guess. I don't know, like, the story swayed a bit. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't give this a watch. Definetely one of the greater movies from DC. So give it a watch.
Murder on the Orient Express (2017)
Fans of the book will be dissapointed
Murder on The Orient Express is one of my favorite books and this movie did not live up to it. I would have certainly enjoyed this movie more had I not read the book beforehand. This movie just comes off as a modern mystery story to an audience who has no knowledge of Agatha Christie and the great detective Hercule Poirot. The movie tries to apply more to the audience by adding some things I find irrelevant or unnecessary. Alas, I can definitely say I was dissapointed watching this movie in comparisment to the book. BUT it is a good movie. Just not what I personally had hoped for after reading the book.
Aladdin (2019)
Let me share this whole new world with you
I LOVED IT! Let the haters talk. I. Loved. This! I find some arguments against this movie believable. But I still cannot believe how this is a bad movie. I think many are clouded by the original 1992 movie. And yes this is different but no it doesn't equally mean it's a BAD movie. And I absolutely LOVED Will Smith as Genie. Yes, NO ONE can replace Robin Williams and even Will Smith did say that but come ooon. Will Smith was the BEST and I mean THE BEST choice for a modern, fun Genie. He knew just how to take on the role as Genie. I love the retake on the Genie.
So overall it's a reaaally good movie. Don't hesitate to watch it. Watch it. Now ;)
Aquaman (2018)
No matter what everyone says, I LOVED this
This was such a good movie. I loved the plot and characters. And the visuals are amazing!
Mortal Engines (2018)
Read the book, not seen the movie. Already upset by the trailer
The trailers indicate that the whole movie resolves around Hester. That's not hiw the book is. The book is about so much more. I'm skeptical whether I should watch this or not...
Hagane no renkinjutsushi (2009)
The Best Anime EVER!
I love everything about this. The plot, the characters, the visuals, the humor, the soundtrack, heck even the villains.
This anime explores so many important themes; science and the ethics behind it, war and how to cope with it, brotherhood and family, death, love, hope, philosophy and so much more. This is the first and only anime that made me cry over a villain. This anime hits you with so many feelings. I love the world, love the characters and the diversity in them. Unlike the original FMA 03, this explores most characters very thoroughly. And man can I say the voice acting is insanely AWESOME! And yes I'm talking about the dubbed version (I admit I'll never watch this subbed).
The conclusion is, if you're an anime fan, this is a must to watch. This anime is just beyond amazing and I never get tired of this.
