Harlem School 1970 (2018 TV Movie)
10/10
A masterful nostalgic tale
15 March 2024
Phil Gries's "Harlem School 1970" is an astonishing achievement in direct cinema storytelling. Gries manages to captivate the viewer through his unique approach on displaying the realistic inner lives of young students in this harlem school. The film sent me in a complete nostalgic journey, a journey that caused me to become even emotional at the very end. Phil Gries is one of the most talented filmmakers to date, and I truly cannot stress enough how many people NEED TO SEE THIS FILM. This film is beyond powerful. Phil has a natural talent with the camera, especially from an observational standpoint. He knows where to be, and when to be-in order for the best results possible. This film is AMAZING. I truly mean that. I highly recommend.

Lost (2004–2010)

An amazing show, with an atrocious ending.

Let me be very clear. Just because a show has an awful ending, does not mean it's a bad show as a whole. In my opinion, seasons 1-4 of Lost are some of the finest hours of television in history. It's on the same level as breaking bad.

Tenet (2020)

a broken heart.
21 December 2020
Christopher Nolan is by far my favorite director, and it feels as though I just had my heart broken by him. I definitely think I need to watch Tenet again. most people say it's disappointing at first watch, but a masterpiece at second. On my first and only watch it was incredibly confused. I was blown away by the visuals and the direction like always, but the plot and characters were very flawed. Most of the characters except for the villian had no personality whatsoever. Like they were all just robots. and the love interest was mis cast

think of it differently
11 July 2020
This film is not a typical harry potter film, it's very different and more grown up. unlike the past 6 films which follow a similar plot structure, harry doesn't end up going to hogwarts for another school year. I think a lot of harry potter fans got thrown off because this film was so different, and it was very different than the other harry potter films. But it stands alone as a great dark thrilling adventure film. Don't compare it to the past films, watch it and enjoy it.

Breaking Bad: Face Off (2011)
Season 4, Episode 13

FACE OFF!
21 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Wow. What a brilliant finale and episode overall. The entire episode felt like the build up from an action movie. The scenes in the hospital with Walt, and the bomb in his bag! And what a fantastic farewell to Gus Fring, one of the best characters in the show. That scene alone was so well done and thoughtful. When hector taps on the bell, and Gus realizes what's going to become of him it's crazy. That shot of him coming out, leaving the audience to think for a second that he might be alice, but that wasn't the case at all.

Warning: Spoilers
I walked into this theater with very low hopes. I had seen the 38% on rotten tomatoes so I thought the movie was going to bomb. It was amazing. It really makes you think while watching the whole film. What. A. Great. Movie. The acting was stellar, the direction, was great and the soundtrack was good as well. Don't completely trust the critics on this. While the ending lacked a little, the movie in whole was great.
