Jane the Virgin: Chapter Fifty-Eight (2017)
Politics Mess
Hot Mess Mama showed the TDS of the writers when hey couldn't help trying to make a joke about the wall. Today, we see what an open border can do with fentanyl poisonings just one problem. Human trafficing is at an all time high showing slavery never ended as the party of slavery continues to make money off of slaves. Jane the Virgin is one of my all time favorites, so this is just a minor blemish on a spectacular show. But the writers show their TDS clearly, just like so many shows since 2015. It is sad to see it subtly placed as cheap humor on this amazing show. Hopefully the writers are open enough to see their diminishment of the wonderful humor that is the hallmark of this show's love and creative concern.
A Heartland Christmas (2010)
How did this mess happen?
I've watched all of the Heartland shows up through the sixteenth season and give it 10 stars. I just found out about this movie and I wish I hadn't. It isn't close to Heartland's normal greatness, just using the actors and forcing them to act out a horrible script, making the wonderful characters be mean to each other and paper thin. Heartland ruining Christmas???? What kind of idea is that?? How did this make it past all of the people who have made such a wonderful show? I have to give it 7 stars because it's part of the Heartland story, but that's a big drop from my usual rating of such a wonderful show.
Gilmore Girls: The Nanny and the Professor (2004)
Episode #74 is the best one yet.
I give the show a solid 8 stars so far, with some 9s and some 7s. This episode made me laugh out loud too many times to count, and the previous 73 episodes brought out a few laughs overall. I'm thankful for the great jokes for a change!
Li'l Abner (1959)
Underrated Classic
This is a great classic with Depression era political humor that still works today. I saw it when it first came out in its full color as I sat in the front row trying to take it all in, and I saw it this week and realized it is very clever and deep, and still not that easy to take it all in, which is why it stands the test of time in so many ways. So I highly recommend it because it is a very fun treat that needs to be reviewed more over time to see how it has unfolded more since the last viewing.
Hart of Dixie (2011)
A Comic Soap Opera
Slapstick, stereotypes exploited and craziness abounds on an emotional roller coaster! Small town classics are soaped up with zany corniness and wonderful music. Yes, different writers screwed up the running opera here and there, but that got straightened out along the way into a very beautiful conclusion to a long and wild ride. Don't miss it!
Hart of Dixie: Lovesick Blues (2013)
Flu Politics
This is a great one to watch in 2021 for a play on the flu politics going on in 2012.
The Trouble with Maggie Cole (2020)
A Great Little Series
I have no idea what the negative reviewers watched, but it wasn't this show! I found none of their reviews accurate or relevant. This is a very well made show telling a great story with beautiful scenery and great acting. See it for yourself - it's short and I watched it all this morning.
Jane the Virgin: Chapter Forty-Five (2016)
Gina Rodriguez
This is one of those episodes that shows the world that Gina Rodriguez is a great actress!
Jane the Virgin: Chapter One (2014)
Exce- llent!
This episode is one of the best I've seen on TV! It is packed with brilliance - don't miss it!
Jane the Virgin: Chapter Fourteen (2015)
Background music for Luisa's story
The jazz music in the background of Luisa's story about meeting Rose was a fantastic version of Soul Eyes performed by Stan Getz with Kenny Barron playing the piano, which was a perfect selection for the story.
Younger (2015)
A very fun fantasy that gets better and better through the seasons
I enjoyed every episode and especially the way they got better up to the final one. The writing and directing was very well done, offering so many clever things packed into each episode, unfolding the romantic fantasies in so many fun twists and turns, and developing the characters in excellent ways. Let it be the excellent fantasy it is and enjoy the ride.

Being Erica (2009)
Wonderful All The Way Through
It seems HBO is producing a remake of this show and I know it will be hard to stand up next to this excellent version. Erin Karpluk is perfect for the lead and the rest of the cast is also wonderful. And the writing is great all the way through.
Good Witch: The Dream (2020)
Kylee sings!
Kylee Evans has a beautiful voice and shows it here at the perfect moment, as usual.
Good Witch: The Loft (2020)
The music is always great!
Throughout the series there has been a wide variety of music and it's always great. The music written for the shows is consistently a beautiful background and perfectly timed, and the big band music in this one is wonderful. And Ray Charles with his big band is perfect.
Anne (2017)
Best Program Ever
By far this is the best thing I've seen on TV over the last 65 years I've been watching TV. The choice of actors, the acting, the directing, the writing, the photography all were excellent!
