Lego Star Wars: The Video Game (2005)
Witty, weird, and downright fun!
I waited three weeks for this game, and it is so addictive. It is probably one of my top ten favourite games, possibly number three or four (my favourite game is probably Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion, and cos my computer is dodgy with PC games and I don't have an XBOX 360, I can't have it!).
My dad, who does not like most of the games I buy, actually liked the look of this one! I got this a day after I bought Super Smash Bros Melee, one of my other favourite games, and this game is the one that steps between me and SSB:M.
The first level is in the droid ship at the beginning of Episode 1, and you can be Qui Gon, Obi Wan and TC 14. It is probably one of the best levels in the game, and it shows that even a kid's game can be funny for a teenager (Obi Wan shimmies around the side of a droid carrier, only to be spotted by Qui Gon, who sighs with embarrassment). It has everything in a game that you could wish for, like a little bit of adult humour after you defeat Anakin, great and colourful graphics that are easy on eyes, and addicting game play.
I give this game 10/10, because of its all out fun and greatness.

GoldenEye: Rogue Agent (2004)
Worst in Bond series, but still OK
I bought this game because I had only had my Gamecube for a week and I was getting bored of my first game, Agent Uder Fire. I found this in HMV for a fiver (a good deal, since it had come out the Christmas before) and I bought it. Got home, and played it non stop for a week, but then I got to the Crab Key mission and I gave up completely.
Until I got to that mission, I liked it. And then they gave you a mission that would take an hour to do, and there are no save points in the entire first part of the level, and then when you find out that there is another part to that level, you just want to throw the disc in the ocean and be rid of it forever. Well that's how I felt.
I only know one person who has completed it, and I don't think he liked it that much either. The levels are all basically the same, and I would say the only good level is the first, after that they are pretty much the same, but without the dame scenery.
Graphics: 8/10 The graphics are sleek, but everybody looks the same. Sound: 10/10 This is the only thing that saves it from failure. They got Judi Dench and Christopher Lee to voice Scaramanga and M, and they are really good. The guns sound real, and sometimes the enemies shout to their allies that you are holding a sniper rifle. Pretty clever. Gameplay: 6/10 Could be better.
Overall: My percentage is 73%.
Needs improving.
Over the Hedge (2006)
Better than Madagascar and Shark Tale, but no way as good as Shrek.
This is a very entertaining film, and very clever, even if it is a little over the top. As the title says, it is much better than the crap Shark Tale and the dull Madagascar, but it is good in its own way. It has more laughs than Madagascar and Shark Tale, like the part when Hammy gets hyper on the caffeine drink and turns the illegal trap to bear is hilarious, and also right at the start when RJ is trying to steal the food from the bear is pretty funny as well.
There is about one laugh every five to ten minutes (which is better than Shark Tale and Madagascar, where there were no laughs at all; a waste of my precious money!), but it is no way as good as the marvellous Shrek films, where a laugh is guaranteed in every scene.
The only negative things to say abut this film are that Verne is an annoying animal at the beginning, but he loosens up at the end, and that Heather and her father were pretty pointless. I'm so glad that this film wasn't an hour and a half, because it is fine the way it is.
Tha animation is a lot like the animation in Madagascar, but it looks more believable.
I give this 8/10
Dai-Rantô Smash Brothers Deluxe (2001)
If you hate this, you have no soul!
This is probably one of the best games I have ever played apart from Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion and Halo 2 (they are awesome!). I have not got this and I am seriously thinking about getting it.
The fighting can be very funny, and some of the moves really match the characters. The only thing that puzzles me is why Mario hits people with a cape if you tap either A or B ( he does not have a yellow cape in the games, why do they give him one now?!) The excellent thing is that there is no best character like on games such as X Men Legends 2 (Of course, it is either Colossus, Wolverine or Iceman) or the Tekken and Mortal Kombat games; the best character is who you are best with. I recommend for beginners either Kirby or DK, because Kirby has quite good special attacks (like holding down and B in the air, and landing on an enemy as a weight. Genius) and DK(Donkey Kong) is strong, and holding B will make him power a punch, and it will knock enemies with over 50% damage into oblivion (not Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion, 360 fans).
I give this 10/10 because it is witty, fun, a great party games, a lot of characters to pick from and the graphics, for a Nintendo game, are superb, even if they are not very detailed.
Get this game, and you will definitely be slamming it into your Gamecube at a sleepover, when your mates are over your house, or on a rainy day when all of your other games have been completed or are not that good no more and this is sitting on a shelf, unplayed. Pick it up you stupid measly buggers, and play it. You will not regret it.
I really want to get this but it is not cheap no more (18 quid, are you trying to suck me dry?).
If you hate this you have no soul, and you should be killed to investigate.
X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse (2005)
Every superhero game should be like this
I got this game for my thirteenth birthday, and it is much better than Spiderman 2 and Hulk. I am on the second act right now, and it is very challenging.
You can pick from 16 characters. My favourite team is Wo,wolverine, Magneto, Iceman and Collosus.
Graphics: 8 Sound: 7.5 Gameplay: 10 Replay value: 9
I have not played the multilayer mode yet, but the Danger room mini missions are very good.
Get this game, and you will not be disappointed. I had never played it, and I'm loved every single minute of it. The bosses are pretty challenging. The Horsemen are very hard.
James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing (2003)
One of the best games I have played in years.
** Warning - this post may contain spoilers **
I only got a Gamecube in September 2005, and the first two games I bought were James Bond games, the decent Agent Under Fire and the dull Goldeneye Rogue Agent. The next game I planned to get was Everything or Nothing, because my friend told me that it was better than the two games I already had. I have to say, he was right.
I bought this for a tenner in HMV, and when I got home, I slammed it in to my Cube and played it for hours on end. It was much better than my other two games, and there was a much better and more interesting storyline. Graphics were some of the best I have seen (but now that the XBOX 360 has come out, Farcry Instincts Predator has some of the best graphics known to man). The storyline was clever; mad man (Willem Dafoe, named as Nikolai Diavolo) and beautiful henchwoman (Heidi Klum, named as Katya Nadanova), try to destroy the world with tiny nanobots, which at the start of the game, you, James Bond, have to destroy on a train. The bad thing is that one of them is hidden in Katya's boobs. You then have to thwart their plans and save the world.
The great thing about this game is that it actually has actors voicing the characters, such as Cleese voicing Q. There are 27 levels, some of them short and some of them pretty long and tricky.
Gameplay - 10/10 Graphics - 9/10 Sound - 9/10 Replay value - 7/10 Multiplayer - 8/10
I give this game a grand total of 90%
James Bond 007: From Russia with Love (2005)
Great single player means a good game
** WARNING - CONTAINS SPOILERS! **
First of all, I would like to say that I really liked this game. I got it for Christmas after two months of dropping hints to my parents. I am glad that I did that.
First off, I would like to say that the single player was very good. The first level is probably one of the best in the game, when you are at a party in London, and some evil guys ruin it by kidnapping the Prime minister's daughter. Of course you have to rescue her, and it is quite a big level, but should probably take you at least five minutes. The best part, and I think also the funniest part, is when you are in the jet-pack, and people are rappelling down Big Ben. Just equip the jet-pack's most trusty rocket launcher and blast the clock faces and the enemies down. Pure fun!
The rest of the levels are very good, but pretty short. There are four mini-levels you can unlock, and that is one of the let downs, because only the first two of them are actually fun, and the last two to unlock are just 'kill 25 enemies' objectives, I mean, c'mon! We got loads of points to unlock these missions and the last two bonus missions are really bad!
The multi player, me and some of my friends agree, is very good and challenging, even if there are no bots. Halo didn't have any bots but that is still some fine multi player games! You can be a load of bad guys, and you go against each other, and you can also set traps, which is the best way of killing people without going into view of their character.
Gameplay - 8.5/10 (levels can be quite repetitive and bonus missions could be improved). Graphics - 9/10 (there is the odd bad graphic, but that isn't extremely often). Multiplayer - 10/10 (needs no comment, just great, you get to drive in jet-packs and vehicles). Sound - 8/10 Replay value - 7/10 (the only levels I go back on are the Loondon level and Istanbul Part 1).
I give this game: 8.5/10
Could have a bit of improvement, but it's still good.
