The Northman (2022)
Boring and uninspired
I don't understand all the high ratings this has received. Having watched amazing shows based on viking history and norse mythology, such as Vikings and The Last Kingdom, this film doesn't even compare in scale or vision to those shows.
It is bland, often times inaudible and a bit silly. If you want to watch gripping viking content, watch either Vikings or The Last Kingdom.
This film does no justice to Norse mythology.
Avoid unless you regularly partake in boredom.
The Book of Boba Fett (2021)
Incredibly dull overall
It's like after episode 4 the writers realised how boring this Boba Fett is and decided to make two episodes of Mandalorian. Episodes 5 and 6 are very good because they centre around Mando and continue his story line where season 2 left off. The last episode shifts focus back to Boba Fett somewhat and the boredom returns.
Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too (2019)
Most reviewers have missed the point
This episode makes you, the viewer, experience the music industry in a visceral way by starting off with promise but leaving you bitterly disappointed by the end. That, my friends, is the music industry. It started off with ideas and potential and has deteriorated into nothing but endless cliches and junk music.
This is the whole point behind this episode. It is intended to leave you disappointed, reflecting the banality of the music industry. You're not being told it's bad. You're being made to feel how bad it actually is.
Genius if you ask me.
Sunset Beach (1997)
So much fun to be had...
...making fun of the acting and characters. The pinnacle of cheese and cringe. So cheesy it's brilliant. Probably the only place you're likely to find a woman impregnated by means of a turkey baster.
Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018)
As visceral as it gets!
I've never reviewed a film but I'll make an exception in this case. One word: exhilarating!
