A Good Person (2023)

Not sure how this movie is getting such low reviews

This movie made me laugh, it made me cry, and it made me smile. It touched on all of the emotions I needed to feel fulfilled. Florence Pugh was fantastic, as she always is. The story is a punch to the gut. It made me embrace my own demons I am currently struggling with.

Morgan Freeman also shines in his role. Which is no surprise. I have seen the movie twice and I felt the same way as I did on my first viewing. Except maybe my love for the movie evolved even more.

It had everything I wanted in a movie. I could truly feel what the characters were feeling. That's all I could never ask for

Congratulations to everyone involved.

Paper Girls (2022– )

A review said it's woke, how? Great show!

Also, this comic came out before stranger things. So, it's not a copy and paste of stranger things. It does not need to be compared. It's a great show on its own and I love it so far.

How is this woke? Because it has female leads? That's how the comic was written. I promise you, not everything you see is woke.

It's made me laugh. It's spoofing early boy/girl groups of the 90s. A much simpler time. It gives that feeling or nostalgia. These harsh reviews need to lighten up.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2024)

Love this show

I just felt like saying that. Since all I see are oh so original reviews saying how woke it is. Love Michael Burnham and I love the crew. I hope it goes on and on. You do know Star Trek has always been "woke" right? There is plenty of trek out there. If this doesn't fit what you think "your"trek should be. Shed your tears and watch another.

Plenty of laughs in this one? What the issue? I'm confused why are people so critical of a show that is meant to have a little humour. No one can ever be happy.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020–2021)

Really? Saying this is the boring show ever?

This show is not perfect no, but saying it is super boring and trash is a little extreme. Plenty of shows start slow at the beginning, it's a style of slow burn that usually pays off, they are just introducing everything and you are so quick to judge it so harshly. I'm guessing you're not a fan of the adult/ young adult show vibes.

This show has some edges that need to be smoothed out, and I feel that they will, the next episode looks to be promising, they are trying something new with the young adult vibe and I. Quite frankly enjoying It so far. The show's ending left me wanting to see what happens next.

Give something a chance before rating it so low.

Enola Holmes (2020)

Another brilliant film, with a great cast

I wish people would just relax and enjoy this film for what it is supposed to be, it is fun and has the same tone as the novels. People tend to judge things so harshly. It also doesn't help that the IMDb review board is full of toxic people. The mentioning of feminism in this film already doomed it, which is sad, because this a great enjoyable fun film.

High Fidelity (2020)

I won't go on and on about how great Zoe Kravitz is in this, even though I should write a whole novel on how brilliant she is. But the whole cast works, the writing is amazing as well. I can tell I will be rewatching this more than twice. Do yourself a favor and binge on this.

Also the music is great as well, you can not forget this.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker (2019)

Wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either.

I won't try to convince you to love it or hate it. Everyone seems divided. But to me there was many missed opportunities and way too much filler for a 2 hour plus movie. Too many new characters that did not pay off. The ending felt just like return of the Jedi. There was a lot of too forced comedy dialogue.

Palatine seemed wasted and felt like he was a lady minute idea after the death of snoke. So they had to backtrack to attempt to make sense of it. I still felt no true character development. I felt like I was just checking things off of a list of things done to try and make up for the last Jedi.

I was just sitting there waiting for it to be over or get to the point. I will say the action sequences were very well done. There are some great shots. The scenes with constant lightning were hard on the eyes though.

See it for yourself. Like I said it's not awful but not great.

Little Women (2019)

I love people rating this movie bad simply based on politics.

Emma Watson is incredible and so is the rest of the cast. The sets and costumes in this film are incredible. The director is Definitely one of the best new and upcoming filmmakers. This movie is great.
