Migraine sufferers skip this episode
27 September 2023
I physically could not listen to this entire episode. I had to keep muting it and walking away because of the sound effects that some absolute genius decided to use. By the time I was 20 minutes into the episode, I had a raging migraine from the constant sudden, piercing sound they decided to use to represent memory loss. Honestly, at this point I'm not sure I can actually follow the plot because, to quote Uhura, first there's a loud, ringing sound, and now there's a headache.

I'm honestly not sure what the writers and sound effect department were thinking with this episode, but please, PLEASE, take your fans into consideration when picking your sound effects.

Everything I grew up on
8 May 2022
I grew up on shows like TMNT, Power Rangers, and anime that was aired in the USA in the 80s and 90s. There's nothing quite as nostalgic as cheesy kung fu action. This takes all of that, adds classic Chinese storytelling, beautiful special effects, and smacks it right into the middle of the MCU. It's not the movie I expected, it's so much better. I went into this expecting just another MCU action flick. Fun, but ultimately just another superhero story. Instead, it's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon meets Doctor strange, and one of the best movies I've seen in years.

I wanted to like it...
2 May 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I really did. The premise had such promise! The idea of a think tank of misfits makes for a fascinating storyline...until you actually watch the show. The characters barely change, and keep bringing up the exact same sob stories every single episode. Just as bad, every last episode has plot hole big enough to drive a semi through, and even worse, self contradictions and bad science! They say something will work early in the episode(bonus points if it is something that has been tested and proved doesn't work) and then later in the same episode the exact opposite is true. For example: one episode has two adults climbing down a steel exhaust using magnets. They flat out state it would take all of their strength to move the magnets. This, of course, is something that is not physically possible to do. They turn off the furnace and start climbing down. The second the furnace turns back on, the heavier of the two starts slipping, while the lighter is perfectly fine. Later in the same episode, a CHILD uses these magnets...the ones that take a full grown man to pull off, mind...and again, the second the furnace turns off he starts slipping...even though a grown man doesn't, and there would be no difference in temperature in the 90 seconds the furnace was off.

The Law of Unintended Consequenses
19 April 2015
If you don't know what that is, you will after watching this episode. The doctor who treated Piper for aurora fever is obsessed with figuring out how she recovered, and is doing everything he can to figure it out in the hopes of curing more diseases. Unfortunately, when studying the sisters' blood, he is exposed to it, and it has some rather nasty side effects. This episode shows what happens when the sisters act without thought for what might happen down the road, and an innocent ends up paying the price. While the monkeys and Leo may inject a note of levity in this episode, it also shows what can happen when those with power aren't careful.

Animorphs (1998–2000)

As with Visser 3, this is an Abomination
25 September 2010
I read the animorphs books as a kid, and they were my absolute favorite series at the time. Now, 15 years later, I reread them and still love them. I remember when the show first came out, how excited I was that they were turning my favorite series into a TV show. Then I watched it, and was crushed. It was absolutely horrible, nothing at all like the books, and in fact, I only watched a couple episodes before giving up. Now, having reread the books, I decided to give the show another chance. I couldn't watch more than half of an episode before giving up. The actors are much too old, the plot isn't even remotely similar, and as for the aliens, they are NOTHING like they are described in the book, and they look like cheap halloween costumes. When Elfanger-Sirinial-Shamtul is first shown, he has horse legs and his stalk eyes look more like dollar store alien antennae, just stuck on top of his head and not moving around at all, which is something that is mentioned in most of the books. And for the love of all things holy, why is Tobias wearing jesses?! I know that it's just a trained hawk, but that pushes credibility. The writing was terrible, the effects were worse.
