Enjoyable and Encouraging
28 May 2024
I love the fact that Karen Kingsbury will now be involved in producing some of her stories as films for the big screen. While women can probably relate more to this story than men, I found it to be a great escape. Despite the pain the lead experienced, he kept moving forward. Loved the scenes on the lake. It's simply refreshing to watch a movie where you don't have to worry about foul language or inappropriate behavior. The story's premise is a little different, but watching how the parents and Jake Allyn dealt with grief was interesting. True love hurts and can also bring joy for those lucky enough to find it twice. Overall, I'm glad I invested time and money for the view. I do hope Kingsbury will be able to produce others.

Great Documentary about American Patriotism
28 May 2024
I am so happy I saw this on the big IMAX screen. I know it will be streaming soon, but honestly, the aviation, power of the jets, and the sound deserve to be displayed big time. Learning what it takes to become a Blue Angels team member was special, too. The precision it takes to fly those six jets in formations with very close proximity is impressive. I especially liked watching how the pilots train and learn to deal with the G-force they experience in flight. I also enjoyed seeing the # of air shows they must perform every year. I hadn't thought about how much time the team would have to spend away from their families during their two year duty tour. This film made me be even more thankful to be an American. See it, for sure!

Viewed Five Times to Take Friends
29 July 2023
I was so moved by this film that I saw it five times in nearby theaters so I could take friends. The storyline touches every emotion (except for humor because the topic is too serious) and the production quality and character portrayals were top notch. Along with Jim Caviezel and Bill Camp, the children did an amazing job in their roles, which added to the believability. Following each showing the audience members could be overheard talking about the powerful message and those I spoke with now feel compelled to take action. I enjoyed researching Operation Underground Railroad (and now donate regularly), watching the many interviews with Tim Ballard and Jim Caviezel on YouTube, and reading the media headlines about the movie's success. I'm thankful that Eduardo Verástegui had the foresight, courage, and patience to make sure Sound of Freedom finally made it to the big screen. May God do even greater things with the message going forward.

Worth the Watch - All Five Times
6 April 2020
I loved this movie so much I kept inviting friends to see it with me again. And five watches in the local theater later, I'm still amazed at the production quality, the storyline, and the character chemistry. It's one I'll never forget. This remake touches every emotion and if you don't have sisters, it will make you wish you had several. This is one to own for your collection of greats.

A Must See - No Matter What You Believe
6 April 2020
I've just finished watching all 8 episodes of Season 1 of The Chosen and I can't emphasize enough that these are films for everyone. No matter what you believe about God, I challenge you to watch these stories and not come away changed. So many talk about their inability to comprehend much of the Bible. The Chosen can help and inspire folks to pursuit Christ because the characters are so relatable. Their chemistry is so obvious. We get to understand the culture and time better as well. The story development will cause people to search their Bibles to read and understand with more clarity. And the production quality is superb.

It was inspiring also to hear from some of the key players about how their roles affected their own faith. But the real key to the success of The Chosen is how the Holy Spirit is moving on viewers to share, tell others, and "pay it forward" so people worldwide can see the Gospel unfold before their eyes (and when all the translations are completed), hear it in their own language.

My compliments to Dallas Jenkins, The Chosen team in total, and VidAngel for this amazing series. I believe God is thrilled with the results (that will be unfolding for a very, very long time).

Great for Family Viewing
6 April 2020
Our church showed this film for a Family Movie Night. I had seen it prior and loved it, especially for its comedic moments, but I was thrilled to see how our members connected with the characters. Gavin Stone's journey to faith in Jesus has elements all viewers can relate to. I loved the laughter at some of Gavin's antics and the conversations afterward about how relationships with others can impact each of us, especially when we share our stories. Enjoyed this movie so much that I bought the DVD.

Fun Family Film
5 July 2018
I was fortunate to be among the almost 700 who saw the premiere of the NPN at the historic Tampa Theatre on June 28. I loved hearing the audience laugh and engage with Josie's emotions as a war widow and single mom. And it was so much fun to see the local landmarks we in Plant City and Tampa are so familiar with in our daily lives. Great acting, great storyline, and a film definitely worth seeing again. Take your friends!
