Ahsoka: Part Six: Far, Far Away (2023)
Worst episode in the show so far
Bad writing has always bothered me. I feel like this specific episode just takes it to extreme even by star wars new and "improved" standards.
Spoilers:
When Sebine arrives on the mysterious galaxy where Thrawn and Ezra were supposed to have been lost without a trace for years, they find Thrawn instantly. What is worse, Thrawn still has a space ship which, according to the show, seems to be fully operational.
The bad guys let sebine go to find Ezra which Thrawn for some reason could not locate with all his storm troopers, spaceship and witches. She finds him in a matter of minutes. How? HOW?! WHY?!
I'm sorry, Ezra and Thrawn getting lost was one of the coolest points in Rebels. Gone without a trace. YEARS GO BY and suddenly, in a matter of minutes, pop, there they are!
Whoever wrote this episode, please feel ashamed of yourself. Shame! Shame! Shame!
The Batman (2022)
manages to somehow insert woke agenda
The biggest question is why? Sure, this goth, emo batman is a decent detective with good acting and passable action. Somehow when the line came up how all the corrupt people in Gotham are white men, it echoed through the entire movie. Yes. Every corrupt cop, every crook, every single villain in this movie is a white male. I would not have noticed this if it weren't for that damn line that brought everything in the forefront and made me groan and facepalm at the same time. Yes, I'm drastically lowering my score because of this. If they want to preach, they should find a church.
Broadchurch (2013)
Good Show, Well acted, anti-male agenda in third season.
Pretty much what the title says. The first two seasons are fantastic. Well acted, compelling, interesting. Third season feels like someone decided that men are weak, selfish, bad parents and so on. Every male character falls into that category, including the male lead. Women tend to be more victims who persevere despite all the wrongdoings of the males.
Literally, not a single male character is safe. Even the child (teen) characters tend to be portrayed in negative light. This wouldn't have been noticeable if at least one or two characters wouldn't fall into this category, but no.
Don't misunderstand. I'm all for strong female characters, female-centric shows and so on. I loved The Good Wife, Resident Evil, Game of Thrones, The Americans and Into the Badlands. But any show that wants to make female characters appear strong by making all the males extremely flawed, is not my cup of tea.
