Joker (2019)
Wow!
Mr Phoenix just blew me away. His characterisation was so chilly, so maniacal, so bloody scary.
He must win the Oscar for best actor, he was just magnificent.
Glory (1989)
Very very good movie
I've seen this movie several times and enjoyed it more each time. An inspiring yet sad story.
The Roosevelts: An Intimate History (2014)
Wonderful show
I'm an Australian and always wondered what the relationship was between Theodore and Franklin Roosevelt. Wasn't aware that Eleanor was a Roosevelt in her own right.
I was in for a big surprise. So very impressed by these three large characters and imagine, or hope, that Americans are very proud of what each Roosevelt achieved. Especially surprised at what Theodore, a Republican, did for the 'little people'.
I urge anyone with an interest in history to watch this magnificent show.
(In 2019, the Presidency of the USA has nothing at all in common with the Roosevelts. How they must be all turning in their respective graves.)
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
Bloody fantastic
The actors WERE Queen. The film captured the times perfectly and it was so exciting watching the Live Aid concert again. A movie as good as this doesn't come along very often.
Darkest Hour (2017)
Wonderful movie
The story was captivating and had me on the edge of my seat even though I knew the outcome. I laughed and I cried but remained totally engrossed the whole way through. The actors were extraordinary as was everything about this movie.
