Cas & Dylan (2013)

To Bad

It's hard to really review this movie. Both the lead characters are excellent. Really good actors. This basically goes without saying for Richard Dreyfuss. I've been a big fan of his since Jaws. There are some really nice themes in this movie. It's not extremely fast paced. That's not always a bad thing, it can leave some time for perspective, and what's actually happening here. Obviously the two of them are good for each other in this setting. I absolutely love the volkswagen. It's like a third character in the movie. For me, and possibly it's just my age. I find the music atrocious. Whoever was put in charge of the music for this movie failed miserably. Most of the time the music is just distracting. I guess whoever picked the music tried to be relevant for the time. This will not age well. So if I gather up my two largest complaints, the movies a little slow, and the music choices are questionable. If you can get through these two things there's almost a little gem in this movie.

Keep Breathing (2022)

I wish I could give it a negative review

I made it 9 minutes and 21 seconds into episode 1. It's so bad where do I start. First of all no one boards their personal Cessna caravan from the lobby of the airport. Pilots use separate facilities from civilians. So this lady would have never seen these two men in real life. The next thing is they're all incredibly bad actors. The script is written so poorly that the individual that authored this piece of fiction knows nothing about aviation. Why in the world would you make the Cessna caravan so loud that it's not tolerable for passengers. The Cessna caravan is a turban prop, in other words it has a jet engine not a normally aspirated reciprocating engine. It's fairly quiet in the cockpit. The next thing is you'd never drink alcohol while you're flying an airplane. It goes on and on and on. The female character is not even likeable you want her to not survive this. I absolutely detest shows that have no thought process into what they're trying to say. Do not waste a minute of your time. Why would I expect anything more from netflix. Netflix has turned into the sewer of movie companies!!!

Lodge 49 (2018–2019)

The best show ever produced for television

I love this show. I wish there would have been 12 seasons. This is extremely unusual for me. I find myself almost always leaving bad reviews for TV shows. This show is completely different. Intelligently written, excellent producer, some of the best acting I've seen ever. This show has the ability to tell you the entire truth about life while it works hard and pretending it's saying nothing. Esoteric, would be the word that describes this show best. I can understand why it was canceled. Very few individuals have the intellect to enjoy a show this good. Most human,-beings suffer from what this show is trying to tell you. The producer and director must have known it would not last long, it is too good for Earth television. For those of you that watch it and enjoy it welcome to the lodge.

This is so bad that it makes the movie Armageddon look like it was written by Einstein. All I could think of after the first 10 minutes was the fact that these must be the most desperate actors in Hollywood, they're all broke from staying in their houses for covid. They would take any kind of work if it was possible. So they took this movie. This would solidify the ruining of all their careers simultaneously. Let's hope so anyways. What an insult to science, history, and logic. Don't get me wrong not every movie has to be ultra logical but if you're making a science fiction film and you're going to break every rule of physics something better be pretty hilarious for it to make sense.

Geostorm (2017)

Where do we even begin with this poorly made-film? I haven't seen a movie this bad since last week. How about we make a movie with absolutely no substantial science involved but it'll be a science-focused movie? Then let's go around and pick the worst actors we could ever find in the world, and put them in the same movie. Oh yes, and let's end Gerard Butler's career. Because we can't think of a suitable ending, we'll just copy Armageddon, and try to turn Gerard Butler into a hero. Can someone say, make it stop! Oh, we could pick this movie and part for hours. Let's make the hero with a gun a female. A blonde female. She's a secret service agent. Of course, she has absolutely no situational awareness. This won't matter at all because she possesses some form of kung fu we've never heard of. I know I'm getting redundant here but I promise you if you watch this movie you will beg God to get your two hours back.

Daisy Jones & The Six (2023)

Fake Fleetwood Mac

You want to know how hard it was to write this book and this TV series? Simply take Fleetwood Mac and put them in a blender and hit the button a few times. Whatever pops out is Daisy Jones and the six. The significant difference between them is the fact that Fleetwood Mac is being torn to pieces. The fact is that Fleetwood Mac had an incredible singer guitar player, who had been in love with their incredible lead female singer. After they broke up they wrote some of the best music ever recorded in rock and roll history. If you actually enjoy the music your hearing and this television series you will be utterly blown away when you hear the real thing, Fleetwood Mac.

Kill Command (2016)

You've got to be kidding!

Why would anybody like this movie? These individuals couldn't possibly be real military personnel. They would never survive one day as United States Marines. There's so much wrong with this movie I must draw the conclusion that the director has never done anything except play a video game. Absolutely zero research here. Once a combat group is attacked you must establish a perimeter immediately. You must establish an OverWatch. Everybody would be equipped with night vision. The half robot, half woman, is completely useless. I guess she's just supposed to be some kind of eye candy. How utterly insulting. These people can't fight their way out of a paper bag. All the technology is one-sided in this movie. I could go on, and on, and on. But then I just be as boring, and redundantly as this absolute failure of a movie.

Eye in the Sky (2015)

Just what the Democrats order

They're a lot of ways to look at this movie. Most of them would have to do with your political affiliations. This movie is basically a Democrat Love fest. The female that starts presenting the case for not proceeding with the attack is clueless to the true possibility of the outcome of her actions. One of the problems that exist in the real military is that many females are in charge now, they're incapable of making good valid decisions in a short time span. Somehow it seems horrible to them to have collateral damage that they'll personally witness. If 80 to 100 people were killed in a mall they'd never give it a second thought because they didn't witness it, and they we're not part of the decision-making process. This is the problem with having civilians, particularly female civilians, in charge of these decisions. This isn't just my opinion, I say this with authority. I'm a former Naval Special Warfare Operator. I put years with boots on the ground and scenarios far more tragic than this. I've lost friends standing right next to me. I also know we prevented the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians. Wake up Little sheep.

Jurassic World Dominion (2022)

I'm not going to spoil a bunch of things for you. The movie will do that all by itself, it's spoiled. What a waste of time, film, money, and talent. There's no doubt there's very talented actors in this movie. Unfortunately this movie is not a vehicle for any of them. It's Just a way for the accountants to take advantage of everybody that loves this franchise. Doesn't mean the actors didn't work hard, but the film just don't do the job. What should be asked, is why? Why all the hard work? They've created one disaster of a movie that meanders, and meanders. Kind of like I'm doing right now. You'll probably watch this movie if you're a fan of the series no matter how bad it is. It's just highly unfortunate that for the last movie in the series they couldn't have spent all this money to do something spectacular, something new. Creativity is having a hard way finding life.

A really bad movie 🎥

Where to start on this movie? First of all, I must confess I only made it through the first 10 minutes. Second of all, I have no regrets about that. The director of his movie is out of his mind. Who in the world would give this buffoon 25 million dollars to make such a hideous movie. Why can't someone give me 25 million, at least I'll give him them a good product. The acting is almost B movie caliber, but not quite. The videography is terrible. It's like my 10-year-old child shot this with a GoPro, an old GoPro. The aliens, have been ripped off from a much better TV series that ran some years ago. What, did you think we wouldn't remember? I could go on, and on, and on. But why bother, I'd be wasting your time as much as this movie wasted mine.

Underwater (2020)

This movie is 100% underwater b******* fest. You absolutely have got to be kidding. An underwater drilling rig, drills in the bottom of the Mariana trench. Monsters attack it and it begins to implode. Your left with five of the lowest IQ individuals in the world left to fend for themselves. As a former Navy diver I can tell you there are so many mistakes in this movie that the producers and director must have done absolutely no research at all on how life works in an underwater habitat. Huge mistakes! Mistakes like this. You proceed lower into the habitat and then the man in charge tells you we have to stop and decompress. You only decompress on your way up never on your way down. Besides the fact that there are no suits "including in the Navy" let alone on planet Earth, where you can walk on the bottom of Mariana trench. They don't even try to pretend that there's any logic in this movie at all. They're just running with straight fantasy. It's utterly disappointing to see an actress that could star in some of the biggest hit movies ever made take a job with this script. This movie is absolutely awful. Don't waste your time.

I guess I'll first start off by saying I never read the books. My son did read the books however and I trust his opinion a lot. He said the books were mediocre. My son's an avid reader and I trust his opinion. My son watched the movie and was very disappointed in it. I watch the movie and I kept waiting for it to grow into something better but that never materialized. The production was mediocre, the director made uncountable mistakes, most likely due to budget though. The acting was pretty good, I've seen better, but in a movie like this it can be hard to tell whether it's direction, production, or the acting. Overall I'm disappointed, and don't feel like the movie went to the place it should have. I guess maybe this movie was just made for young teenagers, who the movie industry believes there are not very high expectations.

Being in my mid-60s I wasn't sure what I really expected from this. I know not everybody's going to agree with me probably because you're so young and you have no idea what real adventure is. Today's young people believe video games replace real life that is a fallacy. First of all let me tell you that driving and racing cars was my entire life in the seventies, when I was in high school. Just at my small high School alone those of us called motorheads owned the following automobiles. 1. 1976 400 turbocharged Pontiac trans am. 2. 1974 454 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a positraction rear end Holley 650 double pumper and a set of hooker headers attached to corvair turbocharged mufflers. 3. 1969 Dodge dart with a 340, bored out 30 thousands, headers and a BM quick shifter with a BM quick shift kit in the automatic transmission. 4. My car, 69 Plymouth barracuda with a 426 hemi, Dana 60 quick change rear end, a Rock crusher 4 speed.

These were the cars we took to the racetrack every weekend. These are the cars we took to school every day. These are the cars that we raced on the loops around our town. That was our life, we drove better than any of these guys everyday of our lives. You people spend a Fortune of money to recreate my high school days. What a pathetic country this has turned into. We were pulled over by the police multitudes of times. Almost always, just so they could ask us what we had under the hood. I never received one ticket either did any of my buddies. It was a great day to be alive. Life today is contrived and boring nothing sporadic. My pity all the people that think this show is good or realistic. Wake up Little sheep.

Travelers (2016–2018)

One of the best TV shows ever written

Absolutely stellar television show. Wish it would have had seven or nine seasons. Never got tired of it. Season 1 was great. Season 2 was better. Season 3 was absolutely fantastic. I so much wish they would produce inspiring, intelligent, and exciting shows on an intellectual level like this much more often. I guess the average viewer isn't into intellectual stimulation. Brad wright is a genius creator. He's created some of the best sci-fi shows ever produced on television. Always a treat to watch something he's worked on. The characters in this show are so believable so are it's excellent actors, a top choice of talent. Always believable. Such good chemistry on the screen. This will always go down as one of my top 10 favorite shows. Enjoy.

Alone (2015– )

So disappointing 😑

I just watched season 7 of alone. I've watched the show since season 1. Alone was a very good show and I enjoyed it. Now at season 7 I'm finding the show not nearly as enjoyable. It feels to me like they're a bunch of B actors trying to pretend their wilderness survival experts. Very little time in this season is spent on real skills and the thing that causes them to succeed or fail. They all think they're a bunch of Tom Cruise's acting for the camera now. I'm sure they didn't come to this conclusion by themselves but they were encouraged by The producers. This is a common problem with most TV shows. They start off being really good, and then the producer continues to massage the show hoping for better and better ratings. Eventually the show just fails and no one watches it and the producer wonders what he did wrong. I can tell you what he did wrong. He kept putting his hands on it and turning it into something it was never meant to be. So, so, so disappointing. I won't be watching it again.

Backroad Truckers (2021– )

The sewer drain of British Columbia

It's like someone pulled the plug in British Columbia and what's left are the bacteria around the drain. The bacterial got together and decided they could become successful. Completely forgetting that modern society is an antibiotic. As soon as God pore's some water down the drain, they're all head down that drain. I've never seen so many losers congregated in one area. The prerequisites are quite unique to obtain this kind of work. You obviously have to have an IQ of 70 or lower. You need to invest everything you have in life into a vehicle anybody else would put in a junkyard. Then you need to be able to submit your entire soul to an individual that can't even control his own weight problem. What possibly could go wrong here that hasn't already gone wrong in each individual's life trying to be part of this chaotic, disorganized, and outrageously absurd collection of human beings.

He got what he deserved. The cops as usual totally out of touch with the community and their responsibilities. Men and suits telling you originally Justice is never right. What a bunch of Karen's. I'd like to see what they be willing to do if it was their livelihood or family being threatened robbed and decimated. Let's not forget this man have been a thief a liar and in trouble for many years of his life. He often threatened other people around him saying he burned their houses down or murder their loved ones. He stole thousands and thousands of dollars from these other fishermen. When you listen to the people that try to defend his actions and vacuum up they sound like a bunch of morons.

Catherine's father knew the whole time his daughter was a psychopathic piece of crap. As far as Andrews concerned he wants to blame everybody but himself for murdering robert. Catherine needs the death penalty. Andrew needs to have life in prison to never get parole. Robert got what he decided.

Justified (2010–2015)

Masterpiece

I know I can tend to be pretty critical about television shows. I have to say this show is a masterpiece. The acting is impeccable. The character choice, one of the best I've ever seen in watching television for 55 years. I'm not going to leave spoilers here for the show. If you want to sit down and thoroughly enjoy a television series, Justified will not disappoint.

Sons of Anarchy (2008–2014)

Not too bad

The show Son of anarchy, is pretty well done. I know a lot of people say it's the best show ever. I think we need to remember a few things and review it honesty. First of all, the acting is tremendous. Totally on par with the best in the business. The show's theme works very well. You have all the ingredients here for a show that people will like. Loyalty, lust, murder, mayhem, family. The thing about this show when you watch it closely is you begin to realize there are a lot of holes. The show is so good you tend to overlook them. They are there yet nonetheless. Mr studer, did a pretty good job with this series. I think the majority of the holes exist because he's not quite bright enough to figure out how to put the show together without all the holes. That's not necessarily his fault. We all have limitations. He's no Jerry buckenheimer. In saying that, he still did a very good job. And it's worth watching.

Truth and Lies: Monica and Bill (2019 TV Movie)

A complete democratic joke fest

To this day the Democratic party still tries to defend Bill Clinton. What a disgrace. It is true Monica Lewinsky created a multitude of her own problems. She was naive, sexually promiscuous, and in love with the fact that she could have a extra marital affair with the president of the United States of America. Yet, only barely older than a teenager. Here's the real tragedy. Bill Clinton was the president of the United States of America. He had no respect for his office. No respect for being a man. Took advantage of a young girl. Instead of being a model citizen for the men of the United States of America. Where he could have mentored Monica Lewinsky, as well as helping her through her crush on him and explaining how adults behaved themselves, he had sex with her and completely sullied the oval office. Both Clintons, Bill and Hillary are opportunist. They have destroyed more lives than they have ever help. The democratically led media would like to steer you away from this. To blame Ken Starr is an insult to all of her intelligence. Once again we see Democratic men can't keep their pants on. The same is happening today in the White House with President Biden's son. Democrats are a disgrace to this country. They always have been.

The First 48 (2004– )

A gritty show

This show gives you a realistic expectation of what it's like to be a homicide detective. There are some unfortunate ideas projected from this show. First of all a homicide detective is not a writer, not a poet, and not very often successful. This is the thing that the show tends to leave out. The homicide detectives portrayed in the Atlanta division try to come off as movie star actors it's very disheartening and distracting. The truth be told, homicide detectives only show up after a crime has been committed. They never prevent a crime. The other sad fact is that they only find a perpetrator 48% of the time. Which means the odds are always on the criminal side. Don't take me wrong, I think we need homicide detectives. Even the less than half arresting conviction rate is worse something. The disheartening part comes when you realize these men are poorly educated and have very little training. With modern crime fighting techniques if these things were addressed I believe the closure rate could be much higher. Unfortunately, old school homicide cops believe the only way you can become good is through on the job training. OJT is a good idea but it has been proven in multitude of occupations that when combining a good solid education with OJT the results are much better.
