Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024)
Optimistic for Book 2&3
The series is way better than the movie, but sometimes feels just as a copy of the animation. Which is ok, I'm glad that they respected the source material, but some additional emotions/conversations could've helped the arcs. Everything felt too monotonic, robotic.
On the other hand, the VFX and sounds are top notch!! Some people find the casting problematic, I'm in the middle on this one, I loved Iroh's and Sokka's actors, the rest may need a bit more time.
I hope there will be more seasons, for me the Book 2 and 3 very way better in the animation series as well, i did not enjoy Book 1 that much, so I think from this point the series will just improve.
Ahsoka: Part Five: Shadow Warrior (2023)
Dave is the GOAT!!!
I cannot express how much this episode meant to me. Anakin, the Clone Wars, that was my childhood. Seeing this in live action, and in a so-well made manner, made me tear up totally. The CGI was perfect, Hayden looked awesome, also the intensity of Anakin's fight was just like it was in ROTS. I was annoyed by fans complaining about Ahsoka's attitude.. now i hope they keep quiet. I also love Jacen's character, hope he gets his own stories in the future.
This one episode is better then the entire sequel saga.
I hope we can get Hayden back to star wars and that Dave gets to produce other shows as well because this is some top quality that he delivers. The story, the visuals, the character development, everything is on another level, thank you Dave!
Ahsoka: Part Three: Time to Fly (2023)
Some will criticise
There is a major revelation that some fans will not like, but do the research, this is what George Lucas himself really thinks, and this time not just another stupid Disney idea.
Otherwise, this episode was shorter, kinda had a filler feeling, but the story had to be connected so I understand. I think the next one will hit. Rebels fans are treated again with some nice referneces and cameo characters, just as in previous episodes, hope this keeps up:)
I'm very satisfied with the show so far, not just because i'm a huge CW&Rebels fan, and this show is basically Rebels season 5, but because it really has star wars feeling and has the prequels' style.
Ahsoka (2023)
THANK YOU DAVE!!
*After 2 episodes*
Finally some real star wars. As a CW&Rebels fan, I was in tears multiple times after just the first 2 episodes.. the soundtracks are beautiful, the story is straight, many references, good coreography, cool villians, etc, i could mention so many other things I loved. This is what Kenobi should have been. For some people the pacing can be a little slow in the beginning, but this show is basically Rebels season 5, we have to give a chance for new watchers to catch up (I didnt mind hearing some heartwarming recaps at all).
Now it is clear that Filoni is our savior, thank you Dave, cannot wait to see what you have to show us this season.
Star Wars Rebels (2014)
I own an apology
Back then around 2014 i gave 4/10 without watching the series, just based on some clips. I was so dissapointed that after my beloved Clone Wars show was cancelled, i got only some downgraded, childish looking replacement series. But i was so wrong... Now in 2023, I finally gave it a real chance and maaan, i got hooked. This show has way less fillers than BadBatch. Characters are built up great, as the show goes forward, you start to connect with them. Similarly as we got to love Ahsoka (I cannot wait for the live action show). This show adds so much to the story of the rebellion. One of the best SW content I recently had, again, my apologies.
Andor (2022)
Finally a great star wars series
I had really high expectations for the Kenobi series, it had its moments, but didn't exploit its potential at all. Mandalorian se2 was ok, while the Boba Fett series was a really low point for me (only enjoyed the 2 episodes that were not about Boba...). So after these disappointments i'm really happy that Andor turned out to be so great. The start was a bit slow, but then the story, characters, darkness, everything combined just made me addicted to the show. There are no jedi, but normal people in the show like you and me, but still, out of all shows this offered the most 'star wars feeling'. The terror of the empire, the problem of citizens, the cost of the rebellion, everything was displayed so well. Also for me the characters were more interesting than in the sequels... Andor is one of the few positive pieces since Disney. Can't wait for season 2!
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part IV (2022)
Wasting Hayden and Ewan
Okay there are cool moments, we got a real version of Fallen Order's escape, also seeing Obi-Wan using his lightsaber again was heartwarming, but maan. This show could have been so much more :( Enjoyable episode, but not the one we rooted for...
Star Wars: The Bad Batch (2021)
Welcome to Clone Wars Season 8!
Honestly, the Bad Batch arc wasn't my favourite in the Clone Wars series, but c'mon. We just got back our favourite show. Maybe the characters aren't as great as our CW heroes, and the storyline can be childish sometimes, but at least the show is alive... I'm sure Dave holds many suprises for us, and will treat us with some amazing moments during the series.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Phantom Apprentice (2020)
This is the Star Wars we need
After watching this episode I just went and gave 1 star for all the 3 sequel movies...
These ~25 minutes long episodes are just way better.
Both Ahsoka and Maul are amazing characters, the linking with Revenge of the Sith is perfect, this atmosphere gave me chills. I'm so upset about having only 2 episodes left.
