Thank God for Weekend Update
7 December 2022
This season has been a train wreck. The sketches are cringe worthy, they're so bad. I have been watching SNL since the 70s. It hurts me to see such weak writing.

The only thing worth watching these days is the cold opening, the host monologue, and weekend update. Occasionally there may be a sketch that's funny. But they are few and far between. Even the cold openings have bombed and they typically are the highlight for me. I do love Che and Jost and thankful for Weekend Update.

I want funny back in the sketches. Crossing my fingers that Steve Martin will bring something to next week's episode.

Subtle dry humor, irony and all. Love this!!
24 July 2022
When you're watching something and you know it's awesome because it's intelligent and you're getting it - subtle dry humor, irony and all. That's this show. Refreshing and so appreciated. And I've never seen Nathan For You. But will definitely check it out now.

Totally binge-worthy!

Great blend of sci-fi, character development, mystery and acting. Can't wait for Season 2. Hopefully there will be one and we don't have to wait forever.

This generation's Dallas
21 March 2022
This is just soap opera drivel. There is much better TV available today. Why waste time on a modern Dallas or Dynasty. My days of watching soap operas have passed.

Found a gem!

Always looking for good quality TV shows. This is best I've found in awhile. Excellent story, great acting. Lots of twists and turns that come together perfectly. Just avoid the autopsy scenes of your squeamish!

Cheesy Network Crap
9 March 2021
Great premise, but it's junked up with bad acting and stupid stories. This is why I don't get excited anymore about network shows. Lost was one of the last ones that had the integrity of real art.

Great story with cliffhanger
24 February 2021
I was expecting story to wrap up with last episode but it's a major cliffhanger. So don't watch if you just want something that ends and wraps up. I've got so I don't like season to season cliffhangers. If this doesn't get picked up for second season and if it takes forever for the second season to come out, It's very frustrating!!

Great story telling in one hour.

I love great story that can be told in one hour on TV. Not sure why the reviews are bad for this show. I've only seen two episodes and this one was awesome.

Funny, witty and entertaining. Great satire. Favorite scene: As emperor Is passing a children's choir, they are introduced as the Chernobyl choir, emperor smiles as says"aw, they're just glowing".

Hillary (2020)

Eye opening
14 March 2020
Beginning of show says that Hillary is polarizing. You either love her or hate her. I am indifferent. Never had a strong feeling, but very curious as to why so many people do not like her including a lot of my friends. Is it the fact that she's a Democrat? The emails? Which this documentary clearly addresses the entire situation and how it was totally blown out of proportion. Is it the way she looks? her voice? The fact that she's a woman that stands up for what she believes without worrying about covering everything with a veil of femininity to make her more 'likeable'? Never really understood the dislike. I urge anyone who has any reason to dislike her so much that you roll your eyes at her, that you watch this and honestly ask yourself why? And if it's for any of those superficial reasons, get a life. She's an amazing woman. PS. if you dislike her because you believe in all the conspiracy theories, quit being so gullible, get off the Internet, and do something to help our country instead of stirring crap.

It's a genre that DOES NOT TRAVEL WITH TIME!
9 January 2020
So thankful for this documentary. This has been a subject matter that I love to discuss with others and I have a very strong opinion of it. As a teenager in the 70s, classic rock is my first love. It's a genre that is fixed in time. There are lots of genres, place music where it belongs. Twisted Sister is 80s hair band. Soundgarden is grunge or alternative. Black Crowes have a classic rock sound but are southern rock or blues rock because they came after the classic rock era. Raconteurs who I love, have some music that has a classic rock sound. Their music is spread across several genres, but I would never put them in a classic rock genre because they are way beyond that time era.

Really enjoyed this documentary, but wanted to jump into it and set them straight. Can you tell I'm passionate about the subject!

Beautiful and Emotional
29 November 2019
By far, the best episode in the series. Beautifully shot. Impeccably acted by Tobias Menzies. Storytelling was excellent in placing me in 1969 to experience a touch of what everyone felt then. Emmy winning performance by Menzies IMHO.

Season 1 amazing, Season 2, okay, weird, but interesting, Season 3, ugggh!

Talk about wearing something out and not knowing when to quit. Season 1 would've been perfect and an awesome story. (which I'm a assuming follows book, which I did not read). Season two was weird, but interesting enough to watch. Third season I don't even want to watch anymore. Waaaay tooooo sloooooow

Emotionally uplifting

Any movie that brings out raw emotions in my opinion is a good one. It's a great movie about doing what is right and standing up for injustice.

Never thought I'd waste an hour of my life on Black Mirror episode but this TANKED!!! Trying to spread out the lonely 3 episodes of this season as I enjoy them so much, but gawd this was awful. Only ever slightly redeeming moment was ending during credits.

Perfect for Black Mirror
6 June 2019
IMHO Black Mirror as a title for series represents the dark we see when we look in the mirror. Social media and all the dark it pulls out of us is what Smithereens is all about. Our obsessions with status, a quick fix of dopamine, our need to know, instant gratification, etc ... and ultimately what horrible consequences can come from it.

Funny as hell and real. This white girl loved every minute of Wanda's perspective of today and what's not normal. And she's right, STOP watching the Bachelor!

Christian not cutting it.
13 April 2019
I miss Tim Gunn. Christian Siriano is uptight and exudes anxiety. And doesn't really add anything much from a design perspective as a mentor. Tim was smart about his design advice and so encouraging and calming in a very stressful situation for the designers.

The Good and The Bad
22 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The Good: the soundtrack and the quirkiness, Klaus' awesome laugh. The Bad: the weird incest story line (at least have someone in the storyline say that its weird and wrong, at least they do that on GOT and makes it more tolerable). Each scene with incest connection makes me cringe. and yes, they are adopted, but they've been siblings together since birth. just weird. And Ellen Page, she's just annoying in this role.

If you're looking for something to watch that will entertain you for an hour or so, this is perfect. Loved the story! Twist that I figured out with about 20 minutes left, but how it played out was awesome. Great soundtrack too :)

Cold open was great. Kate McKinnon as Giuliani is amazing. Putin and MBS and hand jives and Don't Cry for me Argentina .... Good stuff. Skits much better this episode.
