Journey of an honest salesman
9 October 2017
This is not an usual Bollywood flick with songs, action and comedy. The movie revolves around a Sikh graduate(portrayed authentically by Ranbir Kapoor) who aspires to be salesman. As he steps into the corporate world, he is shocked by the reality of sales business where unethical practices, cut-throat atmosphere, unrealistic targets, selling products with high markups are norms & customers are seen just as numbers. He doesn't wishes to abide by these norms drawing a lot of flak from seniors and colleagues and gets isolated by them.

He realises that by being nice one can never survive in this competitive world. So he decides to crave his way through the sales business by following his ideology of treating customer as people with heart not as numbers as they are the one who gives business to them and not the other way around. Also stressing on services before sales.

Realistic movie, definitely worth a watch.

Kick Ass Intro & It's goes downhill from there. Not about Communism. Clichéd Love Story, Decent First Half & Boring Second Half.
9 October 2017
Alright, first thing first, the Intro Music of DQ(Kerala Manninayi) made me to checkout Comrade In America and this movie is definitely not about communism or about the communist leaders. It is about the struggle, the hero goes through to reach his lover who is in America without visa and the life lessons that he learns through his arduous journey.

DQ's presence and acting is the only saving grace of the movie. As an audience you neither feel connected nor empathise with any of the characters.

The surprising part of the movie is the casting of Stalin, Karl Marx, Lenin and Che, which was remarkable and they looked so real and believable. Apart from that there is nothing enjoyable about the movie.

Rediscovering one's childhood dreams
9 October 2017
The movie is about the journey of the hero who rediscovers himself after he had killed his childhood desires and dreams in-order to fit into social conventions and norms. The hero leads a mundane & routine life to run a rat-race where no one wins, just like most of us. A rejection which he faces makes him to introspect and eventually he breaks out of the race to follow his dreams and to create his own path where he will be the winner.

The movie is definitely worth a watch. Ranbir and Deepika deliver soulful performances.
