Loki (2021)
Amazing First Season, but terrible second one
The first season of Loki has some of the best writting in the whole Marvel Cinematic Multiverse. Tone on the spot, great understanding of the characters and good develpment of the story. It was a great surprise and I enjoyed it quite a lot.
The second season seem to have changed most of the writers for a group of 11yo mentally challenged kids, which is an act of cruelty towards both the children and the viewers. All characters seem to have no idea what they are doing during most of the time. Probably the actors could have improvised a better script, if they also had any clue of what the story was trying to go. The ending is not bad, but it does not save the hot garbage all over the rest of the episodes.
My score for first season is 9/10 and second 5/10, so I averaged at 7.
Ookami to Koushinryou: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf (2024)
Inherently Flawed Adaptation
Smart parts of dialogue from the original story are being cut off and giving space for more scenes of nudidy and sillyness from both main characters. I'm sorry for those who are meeting the story for the first time in this adaptation. I'll change this rating if it goes uphill from here. But so far the direction seems very lazy. The directors seem to not understand the story at all.
The character design is pretty and the scenes are quite well drawn. There is nothing special about the animation so far, but we can notice it trying to save budget here and there. I'll keep following a bit more and change the review accordingly to how it progress from here.
