Nerve (2016)
Brilliant concept, entertaining
I love this movie because of the ingenious concept of the game. I wonder what would really happen if this game was real (and with today's advancement in technology, it doesn't seem too impossible, right?). As a story itself, it is constantly upbeat but with certain elements folded 'forcefully' into the story. It wasn't smooth but it was still entertaining. A good movie for a hangout with friends.
Dolphin Tale 2 (2014)
Nice, light, heart-warming movie
Firstly, let me just say that i love most animals. So I'm always in a good mood when watching animal movies, and this one too sends me rooting for Winter until the end. In this movie, we also see a slight development in Sawyer's character, which I feel is a good life lesson for me as well. The most heart-warming part of the movie for me actually came at the end when they showed the real footage of the dolphins and the visitors. Fun movie to watch 😁
Moana (2016)
Great movie
This is a really exciting movie to watch. I was captivated the whole time. For me, Moana is very relatable as I too am at a stage in life where I'm taking a huge leap of faith in myself. It motivates me to go forward and think about how far I can go. A truly inspirational movie. The songs are really good too.
Adiwiraku (2017)
Inspirational especially for those who wants to make a difference
This movie is about a teacher at a rural school, who taught students who were not exactly from the most well- off backgrounds. The movie can be somewhat confusing as it revolves around many different stories (of each student). We see each of them facing their own hardships. It makes us look back at ourselves and realise how blessed we are. For me, it makes me want to think of ways to help make a change in this world. I watched this movie when it came out in cinemas but it's still making me teary just thinking about it. Would love to watch this again.
The Ron Clark Story (2006)
Inspirational especially for those who wants to make a difference
I first saw this in high school and knew I wanted to become like Ron Clark. I love him so much that I've read a couple of his books. They're equally as inspiring. I didn't end up as a school teacher but I do volunteer teach some unprivileged kids so I try to develop myself with his methods. I still have a lot to learn but I'm excited to do so. I just wish I'm in his class right now.
