The Help (2011)

10 out of 10 really don't cut it

Where do I even start..... First let me say this movie holds a special place in my heart, cause I saw it in the theaters with my momma right before times got hard in our family, and we stopped being able to really spend quality time together.

But to get to the real point, this movie is simply brilliant. So emotional, so funny, so sad while never being to much of either. It tells a powerful and painful story that many people should be interested in. The performances, all around, were TOP NOTCH, I can't say i have single complaint. Every actor played thier part to perfection, painfully at times. I'm currently reading the book for the first time and it so good. Also rewatching the movie as I'm reading cause I love it that much.

If you're looking for a good film to get invested in at the end of a long work day, I highly suggest this masterpiece.

A Cinderella Story (2004)

Massively UNDERRATED!

When I tell you this is one of those movies you look at and think, wow, this is going to be so cheesy and bad. That, thankfully, is not the case when it come to A Cinderella Story.

This, for me, is up there with Mean Girls as one of the most underrated "teen" dram/coms. Alot of that praise comes from not only the hilarious script, the beautiful and talented Hillary Duff, the perfectly tough and beautiful Regina King....but, in my opinion, from the ICONIC and HILARIOUS performance given by the one and only Jeniffer Coolidge as the "wicked stepmother" from the Cinderella tale. Her performance not only steals the show...but also having watched it first as a kid ...then as an adult, you realize she might be your favorite character.

New Girl (2011–2018)

Truly HILARIOUS!

I'll admit, like everyone else, I though this show would be just another corny, badly written, cringe worthy cable television series.

Oh boy was I WRONG!

I swear, its actually hilarious. You may think the whole "quirky" thing Zooey Deschanel does is horid...until you watch this show. I genuinely laugh out loud every minute of this show. It's almost like a modern day friends, yeah, actually it is a modern day friends.

Overall its very well written, the comedic timing from the ENTIRE cast is spectacular, the story line is just right...as it never takes things to seriously, but also remembers the audience isn't stupid, and adds some very serious, emotional, and relatable moments.

Moloch (2022)

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

Well, you got your wish!

Personally, I LOVED this movie.

The fanboys/fangirls are mad cause it took the darker DC twist that Marvel isn't acquainted with, and I think it PAID OFF.

I'm still 100% on Wanda's side.... sure she may have went a little nuts in this one, BUT YALL DROVE HER THERE.

The entire MCU has been labeling her a bad guy and a villain when all she was doing was trying her best to find some shred of happiness in this awful and cruel world.

Yet she was judged and exciled for it.

She said "Screw it! Yall want a villain, I'll give you one!"

And I gotta say, shes the most formidable foe EVER put on the marvel screen... I mean the ending basically told you, THEY CANT BEAT HER, it's up to her to make the right decision!

Amphibia (2019–2022)

Sooo Good!!

I was VERY skeptical of this show, having seen some of Disney's recent disasters.

Boy oh boy was I wrong!!

Amphibia really takes you on a story building and world building adventure as well as a very heart felt character journey from all parts.

While this is technically a kids show focused toward preteens, it gets pretty intense at some points in the storyline. Intense enough to entertain adults as well.

As far as the comedy aspect ... Amphibias comedy reminds me alot of Futurama, very witty, sharp, and intelligen(obviously with no profanity) If you've seen Futurama you know the legendary comedy of which I speak.

Amphibia-highly recommended 9/10.

Aerial Africa (2017– )

Pretty good doc.

This interesting documentary gives you a very interesting look inside of the country and its epic wildlife and landscapes.

Gives just as much info on the nature aspect as it does the social and economical aspect.

Encanto (2021)

The musical scenes alone in this film make you wanna come back for more.

Unlike the usual slow melody like tunes we are used to, Encanto switches things up to give us possibly the best music to ever come out of a Disney movie.

Also the visuals, storyline, and characters help to keep you very invested.

Our Planet (2019–2023)

Incredible

Truly jawdropping show

David Attenborough returns in full form for this, once more, amazing docu-series.

I had been craving something in the tune of Planet Earth. Netflix really delivered with this one.

The Suicide Squad (2021)

T'was freaking AWESOME

Rarely do I find the movie I want to watch twice, much less 4 times. As is the case with The Suicide Squad.

Everything was just so much better and more developed than the 2016 film(which I literally walked out of) Margo Robbie steals the show yet again as the one and only Harley Quinn, but this time around she's much more mature, developed, and brutal. You really get to see what she's made of and how tough she really is.

But Margo is not the only one adds to this films greatness, Idris Elba plays and excellent Bloodsport, adding a real sense of purpose and reality to the story. And who could forget John Cenas 'Peacemaker', what an awesome job he did of adding the dark comedy and unexpected shock and twist to the movie.

And let's not forget the heart of the film, Daniela Melchior aka Ratcatcher 2. She really balances the team out, being what see as the real "heart" of the team. Her storyline adds a sense of dark reality and heartbreak that really grounds the movie.

10 out of 10, deffinetly recommend.

Legally Blonde (2001)

A real feel good film.

This movie always puts me in a better mood.

Reese Witherspoon does such an amazing job as the fabulous Elle Woods.

Ditsy yet witty, dingy yet sharp, uninformed yet intelligent, seemingly shallow but deeply inspiring.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009–2010)

10 stars really isn't enough!

Seriously, this show is so insanely good. The storyline, the characters, their development, the sheer emotion.

This show will bring on a complete emotional rollercoaster. You can't watch this show and not feel so emotionally connected to the characters, and feel so heartbroken and hopeful for the brothers.

The story really unfolds in so many layers that it keeps you coming back to know what happens next.

10 out of 10 would deffinetly recommend, not only for anime fans but to anyone looking for a high quality, extremely well written show.

Nine Perfect Strangers (2021)

A show you must watch all the way through.

I'm giving this an 8 out of 10 for the sheer purpose that it makes me come back for more.

4 episodes in and you still have no idea what's really going on here, no idea who these people really are, no idea what the real plot is, yet the way it unfolds I want to keep coming back to learn more.

The characters are starting to develop and show their true selves more, but there's still a huge mystery about the plot and what Masha and Tranquillems true purpose is.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Good as a kid, Great as an adult!

This movie really stands the test of time, from its groundbreaking effects to its solid performances it still stands above all its predecessors ESPECIALLY Jurassic World.

This movie was my whole childhood, then 20 years later after not having seen it in years I gave it a rewatch and fully realized why there's so much hype behind it. It truly is an amazing Sci fi thriller. What really makes it stand out is the breathtakingly realistic effects that somehow the new movies can't seem to get right.

That's So Raven (2003–2007)

Still the funniest Disney show

After all these years and all these shows, Raven is still the funniest of all.

Been watching this show for 20 years now and it still never manages to stop being funny.

Unlike most of these other horribly cringy shows that try to force the comedy down your throat, Raven doesnt need to force it, it's just so damn funny.

Dead to Me (2019–2022)

This show really sucks you in from the first episode.

Darkly witty and hilarious, while at the same time being an extremely deep and emotional insight on greif.

The acting from Christina and Linda is top notch.

The story is so layered in mystery and darkly comedic drama that it's kind of impossible to stop watching, you just have to see wtf happens next.

This movie deserves a much higher rating... It's a political thriller, wrapped in a who dunnit mystery, seasoned with a generous amount of Tarantino style story telling.

All in all, a wild ride of a film.

People on here saying it's a "wannabe Tarantino film" obviously don't realize that's the point. The storytelling is very tarantino like and in my opinion, that's what makes it so great.

The best aspects of a political thriller, old school whodunit mystery, and suspenseful crime mystery.

Doctor Sleep (2019)

People just can't be pleased these days.

(Directors Cut) Where do I even start with this amazing movie.

First of all, let's talk about Rebecca Ferguson's performance..... OUTSTANDING to say the least. Her portrayal of Rose the Hat was just so sly, seductive, intimidating, and horrific all at the same time, this role really solidified her as one of my favorite actors.

Next, the storyline/plot. In an age of the same old sh*t being done again and again, this one was different, in the best way. So much goes on and so many storylines eventually interlink seamlessly. Alot of homage to The Shining is paid here, yet it seems like it's own story entirely, while also being an acceptable sequal.

And finally, the music/cinematography/atmosphere is breathtaking, the visuals in this movie alone make it worth watching.

9 out of 10... Only because I felt there was alot left to the imagination about the origins of 'the shine' and 'The true Knot' that I felt could've been explained. All in all, great movie, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Castlevania (2017–2021)

Gothic horror greatness.

Once I'd watched Penny Dreadful about 4 times I needed something new. A true Gothic horror series that's good.

And along comes Castlevania.

What a great show, truly horryfying and intense.

The storyline is quite well done. And the characters are great.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous (2020–2022)

I love this show sooo much. It's so great.

They manage to pack so much suspense and thrilling adventure into a show aimed at kids.

And it's not just kids running from dinosaurs, there's a very interesting story that's developed.

Also sooo much nostalgia and plenty of clever references to the previous films.

Also the dinosaurs are very well done and expertly thought out. They each have their own personalities and distinctive traits.

Charlie's Angels (2000)

A classic!!!

And after watching the godawful 2019 version, this one is so much better.

It's funny, has a coherant plot, and the action sequences are well done and believable.

Lucy (I) (2014)

This film was a wild ride. And yes it's not scientifically accurate, but so what?

It was an awesome idea that I found well executed.

I will say I wanted to see ScarJo kick more ass but I still didn't mind. This isn't as much an action movie as it is a scifi thriller.

It really makes you question your perception of science and reality.

If your looking for a good scifi thriller that keeps you interested all the way through I highly suggest this film.

Scary Movie 3 (2003)

American Horror Story (2011– )

Murderhouse 8, asylum 8.5,COVEN 10..down hill from there

The first two seasons were good, COVEN was EPIC and amazing on all accounts... From there.. Oh lord. It's all downhill..

COVEN was just so good it can't be explained until you watch it. Even if you didn't like Murder House or Asylum, as my sister didn't, COVEN will deffinetly draw you in.

It's just SOOOO good.

But as I said.. After COVEN it's all downhill. Freak show was, lord, so bad. Roanoke was A BAD JOKE. Hotel was alright at best.

I've yet to watch Apocalypse or 1984 but I doubt they live up too COVEN.
