Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul. (2022)
Honk Honk
"Do you feel Jesus Christ in your heart?"
In the aftermath of a huge scandal, Trinitie Childs, the first lady of a prominent Southern Baptist Mega Church, attempts to help her pastor-husband, Lee-Curtis Childs, rebuild their congregation.
A film that aesthetically I have nothing to reproach, Regina Hall is fantastic I love the versatility it has to jump between genres without falling into repetitive fetishes and Sterling K. Brown is a good complement for the Cynic development of his character.
My problem with this movie was the countless directorial decisions that make the movie lack a constant rhythm and at times become repetitive in what it poses. The script could have been very good if it weren't for some dialogues that didn't add anything to the plot but lengthened it to its progressive deterioration.
Despite all those problems the movie is decent and funny about how they developed the religious history with comedy tones.
Hustle (2022)
Keep going
"We all need someone who believes in our potential."
Hustle is a film that tells the story of a basketball recruiter discouraged from life and from the practically slave routine that the organization he works for puts him on.
Adam Sandler continues to show that when he puts in and is dedicated to his acting work, he achieves an outstanding job, which is accompanied by a decent first performance by former NBA player Hernangomez and a script that, although it sometimes falls, continues to maintain the engaging and entertaining level close to the world of Basketball.
