Gunda (1998)

Awesome!! Watch it to believe it!!

Wow!! no words can define this wonderful movie. Its direction, music, acting are perfect to the core. Be it its couplet laced dialogues or creative storyline or the mind-blowing performances by the greatest stalwarts of Bollywood (including Mithun Da)..... it is a movie worth infinite viewing. Every time you see it, you find a new meaning to the dialogues, a new dimension to the portrayal, a new perspective for research. Everyone who has watched the movie has felt an intellectual upliftment. Regarding the story, it revolves around a coolie (played brilliantly by the god Mithun himself) who fights for the sake of his honour. My favourite scene is when the second tier villain in the starting finds the corpse of his raped sister. The scene is so tragic that you will laugh until you have tears in your eyes.... (no hidden meanings n puns intended!!)

Undoubtedly, its the most crafted movie of all times. Kanti Shah and Mithun Da have outdone themselves once more. Enjoi!!

Hustle (2004–2012)

Its Awesome!!

It is one of those TV series which makes you want to be a part of it. It has got everything. A mind blowing background score, slick editing and scene changes, a wonderful cast and numerous things to learn. I recently used one of its con art on my friend and it was fun. The series concept by Bharat Nalluri is simple. Con those who deserve it. A group of London-based con artists, all with specialization in different kind of con, attempt to dupe money out of their victims whom they call marks. And as expected they get away with it leaving the mark as well as us with a gaping mouth and wider eyes. After two successful seasons of six episodes each, the wait is about to get over this April with the third season. So buckle your seat belts. The con is on!!

Rain Man (1988)

Its superb but could have been better !!!

Well, I liked this movie for the single fact that I have met such 'autistic savants' who are really both talented and retarded at the same time and the movie lets us know more about them. The guy I met had memorized pages from various books and made wonderful portrait. Now, Hoffman was good no doubt but his character's condition was much better off. There are autistics who cant even recognize relations, can't wear their shirts right and yet can memorize the capitals of all the countries. About Cruise, movies like this one and 'Magnolia' reveal his depth beyond his looks. And the actress Valeria was really cute and I was forced to search for her wallpapers. Overall a great movie with great performances. If you haven't watched it yet, you must!
