The Crew (2021)
Good if you're looking for a casual watch on Netflix
It's not the best sitcom of its time, it's not the worst either. It's good for a couple of laughs or if you're unsure of what to watch next on Netflix... It's enjoyable
Dil Bechara (2020)
An emotionally beautiful movie
Watching this movie, knowing about the demise of SSR was very tough. My favourite types of characters that he played were always the funny, cheeky ones, like in Raabta, Chhichhore and Shuddh Desi Romance. So for me, Manny was an absolute pleasure to see onscreen as Sushant's last work. Everyone in this movie was brilliant and tugged at your heartstrings quite a bit. This really was a lovely movie.
Drive (2019)
This movie had potential, it really did
The plot wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, it was bearable. The thing that made me cry/laugh was those special effects. The CGI was awful. Did they hate this movie??? I can see why Sushant hardly promoted this movie, it was embarrassing. They had something there, but they fumbled with it and wasted 2 hours of everyone's time. Such a pity
Simmba (2018)
This movie was great.
I enjoyed everything about this movie. When it took the dark turn that it took, I was shocked and found myself even more invested in this movie. Ranveer absolutely encapsulated the spirit of Simmba and owned his role. Dealing with the all to present issue of rape was a sensitive matter, dealt with responsibly and issued a sort of justice in the end. Wow
Nobody's Fool (2018)
Misleading Trailer
The movie was boring. The trailer led me to believe that the main plot of the movie was that sisters would be on the hunt for the guy who was lying to one of them, which would have made a better movie than the one I watched. It was a waste of time and the romance was boring too
Conviction (2016)
INCREDIBLE
I loved this show. Every single minute of it. I finished it in two days. The last scene with Sam and Hayes shook me. The entire show was amazing, from start to finishing. Really disappointed that it was cancelled.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
WHAT A MOVIE
This movie had me on the edge of my seat, barely eating my movie snacks and had me screaming along with other movie goers when my favourite characters met their demise. It had a touch of humour, incredibly heartfelt scenes between characters who deserved them and even a bit of a twist from the purple grape himself.
This movie definitely lived up to the hype and I will definitely be going back to the theatre to see it another one or two times
Big Time Rush (2009)
Very entertaining
I was an avid BTR fan when the show first aired on Nickelodeon and I was fourteen. James was definitely my favourite in the beginning (this later changed to Kendall, lol) The show had catchy songs and the guys were always up to something.
I'm 22 now and recently found the show on a local streaming service and I've since introduced my little cousins (aged 10 and 6) to this show and they're completely obsessed and know the lyrics to every song word-for-word.
One of my favourite Nick shows by far!!!
Reign (2013)
This show kept me up at night!!!!
I binged the first seasons shortly before the fourth season came out and its cancellation. It was intriguing and although some of the storylines were not quite like the history itself, it was a great show. I enjoyed Catherine and her antics, Mary and her resilience and Bash was just all round dreamy. The show prompt me into researching the history of Mary Stuart as well. I miss this show!!
The Edge of Seventeen (2016)
Wow... absolutely wow
Honestly, I thought this movie was just going to be some kind of feel-good, coming of age movie with your typical boy drama and mean girls who pick on the protagonist, but it wasn't. It was better. This movie showed an average girl have a whole life turned on its side and showed her try to go on with her life from there the best way she could and was capable of. I cried throughout the movie, being able to relate to some of the issues she was going through as well as the feelings she portrayed. Honestly can't this was one of the best movies I've watched so far and is in a level of it's own when it comes to normalising issues teenagers and young adults go through, instead of glorifying or simply trying to eradicate the issue as a whole. Really great movie!!!!
