Father of the Bride (2022)
Ignore the ridiculous rhetoric
Many reviews complained about it being a remake. The one they're referring to with Steve Martin was a remake. And this one is as adorable and wholesome. They brightened it up with some real life hardships. I'm a pandemic world, we can all relate.
The Equalizer (2021)
People!!! Stop taking the word "Remake" literally
Remake doesn't mean to be taken literally or comparatively. Perhaps, remake simply means conceptually it will be structured the same. The energy of the show is similar to the original Equalizer. The original (which I experienced firsthand as a 70's baby) and this one are both equally entertaining. Plus you'll get to experience Dana Owens in all her Set it Off glory.
Bob Hearts Abishola (2019)
Charming and Refreshing
I'm not sure how one could rate this show a 4 or lower. For goodness sake, if you hate a show that much, stop watching. I look forward to the humor each week, laugh track and all.
Supernatural: Last Holiday (2020)
The Boys are Back in Town
Soft filler episode after an extended hiatus is just what the doctor ordered. Over the past 15 seasons, we've had many episodes like this one; light and easy.
I don't understand the poor reviews, it's tv people. Also, who can take you seriously when you can't spell, proofread or tie together a proper sentence.
All Rise (2019)
It's TV people
Too many of the reviews refer to this show as if any television show depicts accuracy. If you're watch tv and using it as a reference for real world interactions, you're the problem in the world. Similarly to Bull, this show entertains on many levels: great working cast; meaningful dialogue; real time storylines; and a great use of an hour. If you appreciate television or any foray into acting for what it is, a simple but highly redacted version of life, you'll be happy.
Lovecraft Country (2020)
High Action Sci-Fi
Rarely, do I entertain shows that keep my heart racing, whether it's good or bad. Based on the genre, I'd say it fits the bill over and over again. The suspense and gore are remarkably entertaining. Don't listen to the other reviewers. Their bias is showing.
Amanda Seales: I Be Knowin' (2019)
Comedic Gold
It's clear Amanda's natural habitat is the stage. From acting to gymnastics, she excels with remarkable precision. Her acerbic wit pokes at obvious sore points in American culture; see the ridiculous amount of lies and hatred in the ratings. Amanda precisely agitates the racial injustices any sane human being can see with humor and cultural catchphrases. If your triggered by her comedy, there's a strong likelihood you reside in confederate flag territory.
