Just Mercy (2019)
i like these 2 quotes
I like these 2 quotes below , and it will always be in my mind , teaching me to live bravely and with hope , trust justice will never be late .
Bryan Stevenson: I came out of law school with grand ideas in my mind about how to change the world. But Mr. McMillian made me realize we can't change the world with only ideas in our minds. We need conviction in our hearts. This man taught me how to stay hopeful, because I now know that hopelessness is the enemy of justice. Hope allows us to push for word, even when the truth is distorted by the people in power. It allows us to stand when they tell us to sit down, and to speak when they say be quiet.
Bryan Stevenson: (in the US Senate Hearing on the Death Penalty) Through this work, I've learned that each of us is more than the worst thing that we've ever done; that the opposite of poverty isn't wealth, the opposite of poverty is justice; that the character of our nation isn't reflected on how we treat the rich and the privileged, but how we treat the poor, the disfavored, and condemned.
Rogue Agent (2022)
World's Most Audacious Frauster
This movie has given me a brand new different perspective on the word "kidnapped".
In law terms, kidnapping means abducting someone using force or fraud. It shows me how one can use manipulative skills to fraud someone and do bad things. It really opens up my eyes to the world's most audacious fraudster - Robert Hansen Freegard.
The only setback of this film is it doesn't shows his wife Mae Hansen much as i would very much like to know the story behind her.
Hopefully, this movie teaches many more people, and don't let anyone manipulate them!
Overall, a great documentary but not thorough and explicit enough.
Please Stand By (2017)
Emotional. Love Wendy.
I like how this movie helps me understand more about people with autism, how they felt and how they react. I really like Wendy's character - ambitious, afraid but courageous at the same time. I'm impressed by the acting of Dakota Fanning, it is very real and good. The plot is very interesting and emotional, with fun twist, i.e writing competition of Star Trek which really complements the movie plot. Overall, I like it!
Robot Sound (2016)
worth watching!
Interesting theme, plot and story. the plot attracts me to watch until the end of the story. the robot is so cute!
The World's End (2013)
A twist of sci-fi action in a comedy
At first the movie started out about a guy, Gary King who wants to finish up what he never did " The World's End" when he was young. It started out with Gary finding all his 4 friends and he called them as a group of "five musketeers". He faced some hardships when gathering all of them for the reunion but he finally succeed in persuading all of them to do "The World's End" (five guys. twelve pubs. sixty pints). They went back to Newton Haven and started with the first pub. Suddenly, the movie turns to a sci-fi action comedy with Gary arguing with a teenager in the toilet and started fighting, only to notice that the teenager wasn't even a human! His head came off with "blue blood"! Just in time, Gary's four friends came barge in the toilet to question him about Gary lying about his mother's death and they started a war with the 'Robots', only to found out that the plans of 'Robots' to replace the townies if the people don't surrender. Overall, it is a fun comedy to watch on Friday night.
Snowpiercer (2013)
Interesting plot with some plot hole
The story is about a gas that has been invented to solve the rising problems of global warming by using the frozen gas to lower the temperature of the environment. The effect of the frozen gas goes uncontrolled and the whole world is frozen to the state of no living species is alive except for those species that are living in frozen climate. However, a group of people that are on board on the train survived this calamity. The train portrays a world that categorize people into different classes and their classes define how they are being treated. The main character feel unfair of the categorization of classes and starts a revolution. In overall, the movie is enough to keep me interested to keep watching although there are some plot hole as to why the killer survived after massive attacks and etc.
