Dream Scenario (2023)

Not bad - Not great

Great idea, ofc you expect nothing less from A24, one of the best productions. Honestly speaking, I didn't really loved the results tho, I mean how it was written. Idk if it was the cast or the screenplay but I was expecting quite more. Also, the ending was kinda poor from my point of view. Yeah I get the idea of playing the "drama card" but at least go deeper. Personally I would like another ending, maybe a plot twist or something crazy, not necessarily a fairytale good ending. Anyway, definitely I didn't get bored and it was a fun to watch movie.

Confess, Fletch (2022)

Underrated movie...look in forward for a franchise

I loved it. It's so underrated and 100% doesn't deserve the score of 6.5 that has now. Like the movie "bad times at the el royale", "Confess,Fletch" has not take the fame that deserves. Personally I found this movie 2 years later and just because Netflix add it. I did not have big expectations mostly because of the mark here but I was wrong. It's a really good movie, with many funny moments, clever jokes and amazing acting. Jon Hamm was extraordinary, his performance was just what the movie needed with his funny facial expressions and small talks. It's a crime movie with a tone of mystery but not ofc such as Agatha Christie like stories or true detective, nevertheless with a decent plot. As I know, the movie based on a novel with more stories so I wish that they are gonna continue and make it as a franchise or something, I would definitely enjoy to watch more movies of Fletch adventures!!!

A lesson for the meaning of life!

As a Greek citizen I must say that was a great work from almost all the aspects. It's not a crime serie or a mystery one, so you don't need to wait for any plot twist or a big reveal. The serie shows its identity from the very beginning. It's about friendship, love, concern and life. During the journey of the serie you are able to pass through many different lives and cultures. Until a point I can feel the serie since I'm also a foreign to another country and have seen and experience many similar situations, but not at the same level ofc.

As a greek I can confirm that the serie shows us many stereotypic characters or even circumstances but that doesn't mean that all are wrong, exacerbated I would say. I'm not mad about it, I have seen hundreds of French and Italian movies and I know that it's something ordinary for them and they even use it for their own cultures as well. I'm gonna repeat myself, the serie doesn't lie, but doesn't show us the other side of the coin too. Same thing with the locations that they decide to show us. Athens besides the graphite and the abandoned buildings it also has other amazing locations, that gives another atmosphere to the whole city.

Personally I loved it for its mini stories of its characters, the drama and power for life that they gave us. I believe that it's a serie that has to be recommended from schools so the students learn more about the value of a human life and that respect is the definition that all of us need to have in our dictionary.

It's just the beginning!!!

As a big fan and follower of the UH it was obvious that I had to watch the movie at the premiere.

First of all, it's their first time on the big screen (and for sure not the last) and their journey to arrive there was accomplished out of a hard work.

About the movie, it's a well made horror movie with many great features. One of them is the cinematography. Personally I loved it and I think it gives another tone to the movie. It is the one of the characteristics that I love in European movies, something that is missing from the Hollywood. Believe it or not, an atmosphere like this one it's hard to find it on Hollywood movies.

In addition, I really liked the background music, it was just to the point. In almost all the scenes the music was fitting just perfectly. You may think it's just a detail but not at all, it's a big plus if you know how to play with it and to know how to use it.

About the plot, I can't say that it's extraordinary or something crazy or something that I have never seen. There are some scenes that could be less longer or even cut from the last edit but as I write on the title, it's just the beginning and we all know that these guys can only go up!

I have been so many times at the cinema and it was one of the very few times that before and after the movie the crowd was applauding.

Fallout (2024– )

Not a gamer !

First of all I would like to highlight that I haven't play the game, I just knew for its existence. So my review is based clearly on the serie and nothing else.

I'm a fan of the vintage vibe, I love everything of the 60'. I also love movies and series that refers to a post-apocalyptic world, so as you understand this serie it's the best combination for me and it didn't disappoint me at all. It's a very well made, the production is amazing. I loved the cinematography and the music of the 60', you get definitely to the mood which I believe is the half of the serie. The acting of the cast is also good, nothing special but yet not disappointed. As I know there will be another season and I'm glad for it because not all of your questions are get an answer. It's a kind of a serie that will make you play the game eventually and as I heard the sales of the game have been increased after the launch of the serie.

I would definitely recommend to watch it either you played the game or not!!!

Ripley (2024)

As a person who watched "the talented Mr. Ripley" with Jude Law and Matt Damon first and then this serie, I would say my review is not gonna be the same as the most of ones.

For those who have not watched the movie yet, I would definitely recommend you to start the serie. It's really great, with just 8 episodes, easy to watch. The key of the serie is the cinematography and the black-white filter, gives another vibe to the serie and it's just brilliant, it's suit it perfectly. Netflix made a great work producing it, definitely It's one of the best serie that you gonna fine in Netflix.

Personally I didn't enjoy the serie as much as I would like. The movie was much greater, not the way which is made, but the acting part of it. Jude Law was awesome, his body language and his acting way gave another tone to the movie. I can't say that Johnny Flynn had the same Era in the serie, he was much more calm and more serious, without any extraordinary acting skills. Same for Andrew Scott, Matt Damon was seem brilliant by the way of his acting, his movements, you could say that this guy has an IQ high as Noone else. Andre Scott was very simple, nothing special, his facial expressions weren't something that you could say wow what an acting. Personally I found it strange because I really love Andrew Scott and I follow his work for years, but in this one because of the movie didn't left me amazed.

I know that maybe it's my fault and I compare them, but I can't act as I never watch the movie..

Bodies (2023)

Amazing serie. One of my best so far. Definitely one of the best series in Netflix. In every episode I was just waiting to watch what happens next. You lose your mind while you get to the next episode.. It's so chaotic and this is what makes it special. I'm glad that there is no other season like "1988" because I would be afraid that they are gonna cancel it too since the audience of this kind of series is not that big. I would definitely recommend it, just be aware it's not a relaxing serie, you need to be there every minute. The cast amazing and of course Graham on his best as always. 9/10..

A very interesting movie, unique If I may say. It's a movie from the category of without specific explanation, everyone can gives his/her own meaning. Sound and cinematography dominate this movie, it's surrealistic and artistic. There is not a beginning, middle or ending, you just follow the dream/nightmare that the writer wants you to experience. My explanation is simple and not so mainstream as I see. I believe that the whole movie is a loop. We see parts of different years, different outfits and different details with the same protagonist. We don't care if they are dead or alive, we don't care if it's a dream or reality, neither how they end up into this loop. We see a loop of their lives with many different circumstances but with 3 main connections: 1) in every loop there was pictures of the woman at the garden(as we see her with all these pictures). 2) they always meet at the statues. 3) he always goes into her room...In every loop the man is trying to convince the woman that they met last year, she doesn't remember and he has to wait one year.

A Murder at the End of the World (2023)

Modern Agatha Christie.

Great serie, not the best but still enjoyable with an amazing ending. In one sentence I would describe this serie as a modern version of Agatha Christie.

Things I liked: well the acting was good with an amazing Clive Owen. The cinematography was also nice with beautiful views. Personally I loved the ending, it was something that I didn't expect and the way they handled it was very clever.

Things I didn't like: some of the episodes were quite long with meaningless boring scenes, they could avoid a few of them easily without affecting the plot. Also I found the rest of the cast (the other guests) as extras without any background story or at least some more lines. In the beginning you have the idea that their role is important in the story but instead of that the most of them are there just for you to think about who is gonna be the killer, nothing more.

The mark which I would give is 8/10 because after all I enjoyed the serie and I loved the ending(as I said many times) which is a huge plus for series in this category.

Generally I love the acting of Colin Farrell and he was very good in this film , but I didn't like his role , because for me it was useless in the movie , I mean that the film would be the same without Colin Farrell ... First of all , ,I don't know why but I didn't like the acting of Bella Thorne in this film . Secondary it is too classic movie . I have seen 3 movies with the same story , and come on guys , why do you have to kill one of the two parents ? In every movie the same story , just why? And why do you kill her at the end? (The fault in our star , me before you) these movies weren't enough ? ... in 2017 came up at the theaters a film with the name "everything,everything" with the exactly same story (but was better) , just I'm trying to understand ... In the beginning it was a classical movie with one boy and girl who fall in love, but unfortunately one of them(or both) has a serious disease (the fault in our star , me before you , midnight sun) . First of all , I saw only the first 40 minute !!! I have seen thousands movies , and believe me only in few movies I haven't seen the until the end ... I don't want to speak for the plot or for the acting or for the screenwriting strategy (btw I love the Cole) , I just want to say that it was boring , and the cause is that it had similar scenes ... oh and I was expecting much more unfortunately , maybe this is one more reason for my opinion about the movie...Greek99

It has some similar parts with the "captain fantastic" but they had really different plots...I didn't like it only because I don't believe the story , it's not a ski fy movie but it's not possible either(the exactly plot) ... the biggest mistake in this movie was the final scene...and in some parts was a little bit slow and boring...Greek99
