Scary Ghost Story

This is a Great movie. It doesn't have to have dozens of "jump" scenes to be a great Scary movie.

And I'm a person that doesn't scare easily. I grew up on supposedly Scary TV shows and movies like Dark Shadows. So I love a good Ghost story.

You have to look at all the crazy crap happening to this poor guy.

He starts out being a skeptic. Like most people. I mean why would you believe in anything you've never seen, right? So his mind quickly gets changes when he starts seeing ghosts and having paranormal encounters.

So, put yourself in his shoes, your staying in this nice hotel and all this strange and crazy crap starts happening.

Yeah.. Scary. Stephen King Scary.

I gave it a 10 because I'm a King fan, a Cusak fan and a Jackson fan.

I also LOVE ghost stories.

Episode 1 Difficult to follow

Unless you use Google and do some research, you'll have NO idea that Emily and Claire are the same person. I was thinking maybe a cousin, or parents had a third kid.. but the flashbacks made me Google if they were one and the same person.

I Shouldn't have had to do that.

Why couldn't they have found some way to let people know??

That's my whole thought. .. except that I think or hope this is a good show. I'm only at episode 1 but I liked Alisha Debnam Carey in the Walking Dead Universe and I think it may be.

I will update thos after seeing the rest of this mini-series.

Queen Cleopatra (2023)

Not bad. I just wish one day they would do a docu with characters that look accurate

I don't have a problem with a black person playing Cleopatra. I mean if White Liz can make it work why can't a black actress? Or Hispanic or Egyptian? I mean.. we do have Egyptian actors right? I just wish Jada had used a lighter skinned back actress. More realistic looking. (But we know Hollywood will take 2 dark parents and give them a light kid or a mixed couple and give them a kid with dark skin and totally nappy hair .. My family is proof it doesn't work that way IRL)

It's like when Hollywood would use white actors for all parts. White, Black (using painted on blackface) , Native American, Hispanic and Other.. I mean Cool Yul played Ramses and had me thinking he was Egyptian most of my life. Great casting.

So . Why is everyone so upset about a black person playing Cleopatra? I mean.. she was in Africa right? Obviously didn't look like Liz Taylor., but that was OK?

So, don't complain. If this portrayal was being done in ancient times, Cleopatra would be portrayed by a male stage actor. As was all acting back then.

This show is very informative. If not enough for you then get on line and do your own research.

Outer Banks (2020– )

Potential for a higher rating

I love this show but can't believe how stupid and spineless these kids are. They just hand away whatever they find without a fight. Like .. OK bad guys.. just take it.. I'll just take it up the tush.. the writers need to give these kids a break.

I love where they live. I don't know what else I can say. I've said it all and I don't want to give any spoilers.

They just need a break. It's a bit like when Indiana Jones would find a treasure and Bellock would take it from him .. always.

So if the writers are reading this.. please let the kids grow a couple pair and fight back.

Then I'll raise my rating to an 8 or 9. Maybe higher.

40 Years a Prisoner (2020)

That was a Sad time in Philly..

I was in high school when all of this took place. I remember it all.

It was sad that an officer lost his life but it was also sad how they treated the Africa family. Making babies suffer and killing babies because you don't believe what they believe or agree with their lifestyle. No reason for what happened to happen.

I'm glad to see that the family could finally be back together. 40 years is enough time.

I'm sure more if my home folks will see this and remember like I do.

Brings back old bad memories.

Great series. And I don't agree that they took racism too far. That's just how things were for some of us back in the 50's, 60's and yes the 70's as well.

I'm on episode 2 and whatever is taunting them has me sitting on the edge of my seat.. and I'm a Walker Stalker!

This has to be one of my favorite Christmas movies, being Lethal Weapon of course. I love Sandra Bullock and this is a Great feel good uplifting and happy story. Love it!

Nina (I) (2016)

I think Zoe did an excellent job in her portrayal of the Great Nina Simone.

Non actors and others should stop being so critical. This is a film that needed to be done. I personally would like to see more Nina Simone out there. Maybe a 2 hour film just wasn't enough to portray her life.. keep in mind... it was only 2 hours long. You have to fill in some blanks.. and fir Zoe Saldana to have sung the music herself and not fone lipsinging throughout the film as so many actors do when portraying a famous singer.. I think she was awesome. I am a big fan of both Nina and Zoe.. so now, I guess I will have to get the soundtrack.

All of you folks judging.. I'd like to see you do a better job!!
