I never tire of watching this video
21 March 2006
The format of this video is in a documentary form, but it is so much more than that. It's like watching the who's who in Hollywood of an era that is totally lost. If you enjoy movies at all you will be amazed and entranced with this jewel. I am in my early 40's but I identify with Hollywood of past. There are comical moments and tender moments of the Oscar telecasts that are highlighted, even a few political standings - very interesting. The Academy Awards shows of late have been so drab and contrived, even predictable and safe, but you will see things you would not see in today's politically correct times. Also, intertwined in the video there are many clips of musical numbers of movies of the era.

I own this video, but it can be found in most larger movie rental stores. Make sure you have time to watch this more than once because you will miss hidden gems the first viewing. Lots of times when there is squat on television I will pop this in and enjoy it the 50th time just like I did the first.

I hate to admit it...

This is a special four-part, one hour each, series that is on the WE (Woman's Entertainment) network that focuses on fashion trends of the past few decades. It starts with the 1970's, and ends with, believe it or not this decade (even though we are only half-way through). This series follows the trend right now of other shows like I Love the 70's, 80's and 90's, or The Best Week Ever, which instead of employing actors there are a handful of, what I call faux-lebrites, some of which you have heard of and others that may make you scratch your head. Having said this is is a fun trip down memory lane and the production value is fairly high for basic cable. I had a lot of fun watching these programs, and if you are over 30 you will be able to relate. I grew up in the late seventies and eighties and especially enjoyed the first two hours. I hate to admit to wearing some of the clothes and having some of those funky haircuts. I guess pictures don't lie, oh well - it was fun at the time! 10 out of 10

High Larious
18 September 2005
We live in Kansas City and searched for nearly 2 weeks looking for this DVD. I will say that if you are a Kathy fan, you will enjoy this video. I can't wait for her next DVD to come out. Her frank sense of "Cruel Humor" can only be compared to the likes of Joan Rivers. She doesn't hold back when she gets started on celebrities. My only problem with the video is that it wasn't long enough. I would love to have had another hour. I guess that's why she has a show. The best is when she tears into Eminem. I won't give anything away, but you definitely have to see it. It is nice to see someone that can be so politically incorrect, and just having fun, when everyone else is so uptight. 10 out of 10!!!!!

Tried too hard
11 August 2005
I realized when I rented this movie that it was a drama and not a comedy. That became apparent about 15 minutes into this drabfest. Everyone in this movie was so depressing (except Dylan, the homeless, druggie, homewrecking, but cute boy). I would love to know where these morons live so I can avoid running into them. In reflecting about any good things to comment on "Everyone", I was thinking how all these losers made no contribution to each other or anyone trying to stay awake through it.

I could go on for hours about this dreary yawnfest, but trust me, stay away at all costs.
