The Simpsons Game (2007)
Rather fun game
This game turned out be rather fun with all the levels being mainly spoofs off other games/movies.
The level "Super Happy Fun Fun Game" boss battles being a spoof off Pokemon, especially the game play in them was just pure classic, odd, but classic.
And there were a few things I didn't really expect from the game at all, especially having to battle against Matt Groening in the level "Five Characters in Search of an Author", with him sending clones of both Bender and Dr. Zoidberg after you.
But the final level, after the dance off against God did in fact take me by surprise, having realized that the game was just a mini-game in God's own game, as he would so bluntly put it.
But all in all, it is a rather fun game, fulled with some strange boss battles and 30 odd clichés too 8/10 from me.
Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006)
It was suppose to be funny?
Okay, so I hired it out on DVD to see what the big deal about this movie was and as I watched it...I hardly laughed at all, why? Because it wasn't even funny, it was just plain stupid. Sure, near the end, it was alright, but to me, this movie is nowhere near as funny as other comedy movies like Epic Movie, Shawn of the Dead, Scary Movie, etc, etc. I know comedy when I see it, and this one fails, that's for sure, but I guess this could be put as a real bad acting, drama type of movie if they had actually tried for once. Oh, and before I forget, a second Borat movie? Please, save yourselves the trouble and don't bother making it and if you do, trust me and don't watch this, unless of course, you have no sense of humour what so ever and would laugh at almost anything, even if it's not funny in ant sense.
Black Sheep (2006)
Revenge of the Sheep
I saw this the other day at the movies, and I have to say, it turned out to be pretty good. Not horror type of good, but humor type of good, gore, yes, but the type it goes for will make you laugh more than puke.
The plot line isn't bad at all, sheep being experimented on go on a killing spree, killing humans and turning them into Were-Sheep and being controlled by a human too....by the looks of it anyway....
If you're looking for a laugh, then this could be the movie for you, the acting isn't too bad, though, it is from a New Zealand company. Sure, it doesn't measure up to the LOTR movies or King Kong, but it's still good in its own way actually.
However, it is also a silly type of movie as well, so you have been warned on that number, though, I only overheard at least two people saying that they had wasted their money afterwards. But throughout the movie, everyone seemed to be laughing at it more than all the "Eww" and "Yuck" sort of noises you normally make in a horror movie.
So, in conclusion, if you're looking for a movie with killer sheep and aren't afraid of movies that are just plain silly that turn out to be good, this could be the movie.
V for Vendetta (2005)
Amazing, truly amazing
I watched this movie a little while back on DVD, as I didn't get around to seeing it at the movies. But I have to say, throughout watching this movie, I just thought the whole movie was magnificent, Hugo Weaving does an excellent job at portraying V and John Hurt playing the villainous Adamn Sutler.
Sure, it is a little slow in some parts with V putting Evey through the whole torture scene, but other than that, it is just amazing.
I highly recommend this movie to others who enjoy action and the hero getting back at parliament.
10/10 from me.
101 Dalmatians: The Series (1997)
A nice show indeed
Ah, a show that is very nice indeed. Has all that a show could want, comedy, family oriented...stuff... Though, finding the show on TV is basically impossible now with the addition of the whole Jetix block (I myself haven't seen it, but have heard of it) replacing this show and a few others. You wont find it on DVD either though, as the series hasn't even been around to being produced for DVD, whether Disney wants to or not.
Basically, if you are a fan of the series, you can wait for it to come to DVD, but me, if it does, it does, if it doesn't, it doesn't, simple as that really. I'm not worried one bit, however, it was nice to have it on when it was on.
My rating for this show is...an average one, probably.... 6/10 (SpongeBob out does this series either way)
