Dug moru: Stara Striga (2023)
Season failed to deliver
The photography in this season is marvelous, the music as well. Unfortunately, that is all worth mentioning.
All the other elements failed to deliver in the season 3.
There is no story development that you can follow; it looks like several people were brainstorming all the time during the process of writing the script without a major thread that connects all the pieces of the puzzle. Therefore, there are plenty of short appearances of roles that are completely meaningless and rather they were used for filling the gaps.
In my opinion, only the season 1 was worth watching. At least it looked so promising at that time.
Nebesa (2021)
Clumsy attempt of a modern film noir
Knowing the complete oeuvre of Srdjan Dragojevic's filmography, this movie sadly lacks a lot to become at least a pale reflection of his early work.
In the opening 15 minutes, one thing strongly caught my attention: the acting was utterly bad, unconvincing and a bit forced and somehow everything (acting, dialogs, etc.) seemed very cheap.
Known as a kind of liberal, neo-communist, it seems that with this film he wanted to mock the concept of religion in a clumsy quasi-intellectual way.
Instead of building a strong plot, a lot of shots seem unnecessary, some characters as well, which all together makes the plot of this movie disorienting.
Inspired by Marcel Aima's short stories, Dragojevic tried to lean on his early movie success, but instead of something refreshing, we got nothing more than beating a dead horse.
Cetiri ruze (2019)
Lame script, weak direction, and a lack of any idea in this urban property
Although I didn't have any expectations about this movie prior to watching it, I was bitterly disappointed. I would describe it as an empty, meandering and uneventful waste of time.
Storyline was not only poorly developed but it wasn't developed at all.
What we can see in the movie is a very chaotic set of undeveloped urban hedonists wandering over the vapor of emptiness with a touch of undefined substances.
The movie is filled with meaningless fillers such as girls twerking, drinking cocktails and talking prosaicness.
Obviously, the screenwriters are huge fans and were trying to follow the trace of Tarantino but have lost themselves somewhere down the drain.
Almost every single actor in this movie appears as an ironic stereotype of themselves from some earlier movies.
As usual, Gordan Kicic has one face expression in this movie (as well as in all other his movies) which leads you to conclusion that he is not one of the characters in this movie but a part of a scenography, irritant decoration of this wanna-be night club.
The only reason for giving this movie 2 stars instead of just 1 is the selection of music, which is refreshingly good.
