Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024– )

Awesome series, witty and entertaining

This has been highly anticipated in my favorites for 2024. I have enjoyed every rendition of Mr. And Mrs. Smith. The original, Brad & Angelina, and the TV series. Each has a unique flavor different from the others. Prime Video's iteration is just as captivating. Kudos to the awesome selection of cast members and their natural chemistry. Between characters. It is like a wedding for a bride, something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. I am not one of those Oscar's watchers, what makes me laugh in my easy chair with a cold beverage is what's important to me. I hope there is a season two.

Assassin Club (2023)

Action filled and awesome!

Noomie Repace as with past regularity was simply spectacular. My honest experience throughout the movie was sitting on the edge of my seat hoping for a different outcome, but knowing there was a high percentage chance it would not. Noomie was the perfect baddie , I am so used to her being the hero it was shocking she was on the other side. I felt the movie was well written, directed and all of the actors portrayed their characters extremely well. My expectations of the movie were met and then some. I would actually enjoy a sequel to this movie with a longer duration. The best movies elicit some form of emotion from the viewer, Assassin Club did it for me.

Knock at the Cabin (2023)

Awesome movie worthy of debate !

The preview trailers for this movie did not do it justice. My initial opinion was...oh no not another bad guy animal head wearing movie with simple one liners. At first I thought it was a group of crackpots like in all of previous no brainer hostage in the woods horror movies. Once I saw the plot develope it hit me like a ton bricks. The twist on the this world renowned story is legendary. The director did an outstanding job with this movie. The chemistry between the actors was amazing. The characters were exceptional and I am considering buying the book this movie was base upon. I will buy the blu-ray for the my much anticipated deleted scenes.

SEAL Team (2017–2024)

Awesome TV Drama

I just wrapped up watching season 6 episode 8 and I was floored. I knew it was coming, I wished it was going to end on a happy solution, it was predictable and utterly awesome! To elicit an emotional response through script and acting is the goal of film. I have to say all of the characters combine to make the team. When one is taken out of the script, it leaves a lasting impact on the way I see the show. I have to applaud the writers and the director, you never know who is going to leave the show. If you are looking for a model for a TV series, this is definitely the one. I am not sure there will be a season 7, if so I will be willing to watch, and if not I will watch the series over again.

Prey (I) (2022)

Refreshing and AWESOME!

I absolutely enjoyed the movie. The muzzle loader at the end was an ostrich sized Easter egg. Just imagine a brilliant mind born into a primitive culture , discovers a metal spring trap , muzzleloader, black powder and the cherry on top.,..an alien life form, what a learning curve! Most of all I really appreciated the common use of English throughout the movie, except the bison hunters..,no great loss! This will definitely go into my blu-ray collection.... Predator marathon in my near future.

Resident Evil (2022)

Has possiblity but needs better writers

I found the first four episodes unbearable, if there ever was a reason for corporal punishment JADE would be a text book example. The character appears to never learn from past mistakes and does some of the dumbest acts as an adult. I see value in the reflections of the past, but how much childish rebellious crap must be endured. Make Jade an intelligent badass and less an impetuous dumbass.

Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)

Simply Awesome!

I was a bit upset with Ben being soft at the start of the miniseries, but that is why he is a master Jedi. Asoka he is not and as we all know the High Counsel acts like the UN....let's talk and take action when it is almost too late. I say the miniseries was balanced on the action scenes and concentrated more on the relationship between Anakin and Ben. The inquisition team was a breath of fresh air and to see Jinn again was awesome. I am looking forward to a second miniseries. Just my two dollars.

Copshop (2021)

Very entertaining with a twist

If I did not know before hand , I would think this was a QT movie. I enjoyed the movie immensely , i was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. The plot was amazing, the characters had me hoping all would pan out in a zero sum situation. This will definitely be one for my blu-ray collection.

Jungle Cruise (2021)

Awesome movie, great cast chemistry and a good old fashion plot with action and adventure. Loved the jaguar, likes her steaks well done and seasoned to perfection. You would be hard pressed to find a movie like this, fun for the entire family. I am just waiting for the blu-ray, it is going into my collection along side my Indiana Jones collection.

The essence of why movies are made,viewership and debate. Solid movie that challenges the natural order on things..lol . I enjoyed this movie and even the light hearted comedy was proportional. Hey all through history in the face of adversity , many great people had something comedic to say as they faced the grim reaper. As for my experience, the script was solid, the chemistry of the cast was perfect and the CGI was amazing. I do not think this movie warrant's a sequel, yet I would be curious what direction the script would take.. Bite my own arm off type of intelligence.... AMAZING!!!!

Debris (2021)

AWESOME

The show as a whole is simply awesome. Many people want a clear black and white ending for episodes of tv shows, when in real life it does not exist. My guess an escape from the day to day. The two main characters have an excellent chemistry and the actors as well. The latest episode proved it. I was on the edge of my chair, trying to figure out a solution for what appears to be an unsolvable problem. I look forward to every episode. Kudos to all involved in the production of Debris.

A pleasant reminder of the Twilight Zone

CGM was one Ford Tough Momma Bear during a period in history where it was acceptable to call women dames and they were frowned upon if they stepped out of the position of being barefooted and pregnant. I thought the undisciplined flight crew was a bit over the top and I never saw what was in the bag coming. All I could think of...do not feed it after midnight or let it get wet..lol. It is not OSCAR material, but it was a fun action thriller with decent special effects. A nice spin on action heroes, the ones that can bring home the bacon ,fry it up in the pan and never let you forget you are a man....I guess you have to be old to remember that commercial...when where I lived there was only about five TV channels. Its a movie, some body created the script and people portrayed the characters. That simple.

Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)

Very good movie deep meaning

Iam not sure why the bad reviews, I found it to have a deeper meaning. I enjoyed the easter eggs, Wonder Woman a world hero. The invisible jet scene was awesome and her ability to fly comes straight from Greek mythology....daughter of Zeus...no wonder she can go toe to toe with Superman. I felt it had a decent mix of action,romance and comedy. Hey with all that is going on in the world, it was good to see a movie that did not have any direct scenes of death. Heck I felt pretty good at the movie's end. Just pre-ordered the blu-ray. Just my 30 bucks.

Lovecraft Country (2020)

At the start of the season I passed over the show because I thought the contents would be insightful to me. I buckled down and watched the first episode and I was hooked. The chemistry between the main characters is perfect and the focus on the other characters always leave me wishing I could buy the entire season right now. I look forward to each new episode and I find myself re watching past episodes for Easter Eggs I may have missed.

IO (2019)

Great movie, great plot!!

I found I O to be one of the best apocalyptic movies to date. None of the typical good vs bad during a dire situation. Making the best of a world ravaged then abandoned by human kind. What could be a better pair than a scientist and an experienced history teacher. I know there were some holes in the technical department, but as a whole the movie was spot on and worthy of conversation.

The Girl in the Spider's Web (2018)

Simply Fantastic!!!

My first experience with "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" was the Swedish version with Noomie Repace. Instant favorite, Lisbeth was the best female , high tech badass. This movie does not disappoint, Claire Foy steps in to carry the character into the future. I am a bit puzzled about some parts of the family history, but it is not a deal breaker for me. One team, one major fight equals a great movie.

The Predator (2018)

Not too bad, could do without the comedy.

I am a huge Predator fan. I like the movie because it is a different take on the franchise. Before there were professionally trained groups making contact with the HUNTER Alien, now just imagine a group of family oriented battle fatigued , PTSD challenged veterans with nothing to lose banding together to help a fellow soldier take on a formidable creature. Just imagine what it takes to run towards gun fire or into a burning building. Give the movie a chance and keep an open mind.

Valor (2017–2018)

Hot garbage!!!!

Having served in the military for 21 years and watching the first episode of Valor....I have to say I am highly disappointed. The negative light cast upon our women in uniform by this show is beyond deplorable. When the CW3 walked out onto the physical training field, her uniform might as well have been yoga pants. Hey I know she is to be eye candy for the sake of ratings, yet there is a line that should not be crossed....have some respect for our soldiers regardless of gender. The indecision of the main characters and the soap opera antics of the secondary characters kills any progress made by the action at the start of the show. Enlist the help of a better military adviser,change the story line to include more action and allow the CW3 to have more facets to her personality.

The Assignment (I) (2016)

Fantastic movie

I enjoyed the movie, the suspense is enough to keep you going but the old school action and narration kept me involved. If you liked Sin City or Burn Notice you will be entertained. The cast was a major plus, Weaver was witty and commanding. Rodriguez.... Wow!!! She needs to be considered for more leading roles...she has the ability.

Deadpool (2016)

Awesome Movie!!

I never knew of the character Deadpool until the X-Men movies. I was skeptical about seeing the movie. Now that I have watched the movie, I am waiting for the sequel. The movie was definitely made for adults and I found myself thinking....the character is actually doing what we secretly wanted super hero's to do to the bad guys all along. Just like the movie "The Punisher Warzone"..."Speak softly and carry a big stick". There was a perfect blend of CGI and the chemistry between the actors. The one liners between the characters provided a perfect combination of comedy and action. Stan Lee,s cameo was the icing on the cake. The re-watch value for this movie is high, when the DVD is released, it will be in my collection.... I can only imagine the deleted scenes.

Gods of Egypt (2016)

Not a bad movie

I enjoyed the movie. I found the antics of the character Bek to be mildly annoying yet his total performance was on par. The special effects were impressive and since I am an ancient aliens fan I think the movie was as close as it could get fact wise based on the cast available. Discount the historical inaccuracies, it is an enjoyable movie that will have you doing research on Egyptian mythology. I will say this, the humor and one liners will have you thinking, yet it is the eye candy and fights that will keep you anticipating the next scene. Now the story line is as old as time itself, it worked for me because of the way the story line was presented. Give the movie a chance and remember it is just a movie , not a remote viewing of history.
