Entertaining Enough, and not deserving of all the hate
4 September 2021
I enjoyed Karen. The acting and script were pretty good. Many of the comments are from the new breed of conservative-leaning snowflakes who apparently lack the fortitude to evaluate the quality of a film that may not espouse their exact political views If a black couple moved into a historically all-white neighborhood, then it is not unlikely that they would have to deal with nosy neighbors who can't mind their own business. This film is a fairly realistic account of such a scenario. Karen's character was extreme and psychopathic, but the portrayal never lacked credibility. Likewise, Officer Wind is what I'd expect from a corrupt cop. There are a few scenes with some preachy progressive themes, but, again, this is fairly realistic dialogue given the circumstances depicted in the film. 6/10.

Edited for those with short-attention-span, or possibly brain damage

This would be a highly engaging and entertaining show if one third of its content wasn't rehash. As it stands, the repeated content is frustrating and aggravating. Between episodes 1 and 2 of the 5th Season, a clip is shown approximately eight times where one of the female inmates enters the commons area with the comment "She's cute, I'll take her." Right, I remember the clip from the first seven times it was shown. I suspect nepotism is factor with the excessive recycling of clips.

Painful
30 August 2018
Public Disturbance was so painful to watch. Seldom can something packaged as a comedy bring on such a strong feeling of misery. I haven't posted a review for a long time, but when I saw all those 10-star reviews (from accounts with no other reviews), I was inspired to write this post, so as to accurately convey the quality of content with Public Disturbance. Watching this film is similar to enduring one of those annoying morning radio shows where people sit around boisterously laughing at crap that isn't funny. This film is scarcely preferable to the dentist, and it makes Jackass seem like comedy bliss by comparison.
