I can't believe people are giving this show anything less than a 7. It's thoroughly engaging and entertaining. Great story. Great characters. The scenery is of course spectacular and beautifully shot. All the leads are spot on. Acting is brilliant. Someone complained it's too long. ????? I totally do not agree. There were many scenes when the director could have called cut maybe 3 seconds sooner true. But to make that a serious complaint is to be a complete whiner. I'm in my late 60's and been watching TV my whole life and have no patience for poor quality TV or a dud watch. There is so much to watch, I have a long list of shows to watch and never sit through anything I'm not completely enjoying. This was a thoroughly enjoyable watch and I highly recommend it.

The Unforgivable

Oh dear Sandra Bullock is abysmal

This could be a good movie but SB is so bad it's beyond unbelievable. In fact the title actually refers to her performance. Every scene with her in it she was just so obviously acting it ruined the whole thing. I can't believe a top rated Hollywood actress could be such a bad actress.

Dear oh dear

Oh my. I love Kevin Costner and I love Robyn Wright but this movie. Oh my goodness. It is a love story and in some ways very beautiful but the direction is abysmal. Truly awful. If this were the only time you saw either of these two actors in a movie you'd say they were hammy and unconvincing. It's based on a novel and usually I think that's a good thing because it means it has a good story at its base, but other times, like here, it means that things relayed on the page play as effective but on screen seem unrealistic and sloppily sentimental. I sort of enjoyed this movie but only because I know how fabulous both these actors actually are.

Josh is the problem
1 February 2020
I am Australian and watched the whole of Please Like Me which of course I enjoyed except for the same problem I have with Everything's Gonna Be Okay. And that is, that as well as being a great comedian, Josh Thomas comes across as wholly unlikable. If he's like that in real life and I can see no reason why he wouldn't be then he's a complete dick. He's a self-interested, insensitive creep who couldn't give a rats about anything but his own urges, thoughts and feelings. Even when he's trying to look after the girls he's still horrible: telling one of the girls how dreadful her dress was, the one she'd bought to wear to her father's funeral. She said "Why would you say that?" and he replies "Oh, I thought we were joking." Moron

Don't believe them

This is dull, cliched, obvious and, the most unpardonable sin, boring. I can imagine how lovely it was for father and son to make a (supposed to be) moving movie together. But please don't waste two hours on this. I would have given it a 3 instead of a 1 but I wanted to bring down the overall score a bit more.

This was quite a good series but at the end not a single story line was tied up. Not a SINGLE ONE!!!!! It's as if the entire series is just a set up for the next series which may not even happen, obviously. Very, very disappointed to get to the end and discover this.

Moving family drama

Perhaps because I'm somewhat depressed and have been for some time and probably will be for some time more, this film was perfect. In my early sixties I'm midway between the ages of the mother and the daughter so I obviously could relate. I was expecting it to be a slightly lighthearted romp through the journey of a mother and daughter as they grapple with the mother's onset of dementia. But actually it was a serious, poignant, eloquent and moving telling of a sad family story. The music was perfect and I was able to listen to it on my way home in the car thanks to Spotify. Loved it.

You people are spoiled. This is a solid 7/10 no question. I gave it a 10 to bump it up a bit. I have seen bad movies but this isn't one. Nicholas Cage for a start doing classic Nic Cage. Good story, rattles along. And a great baddy in Hugh Dillon. He was great. A real Bruce Willis type. Entertaining? Yep.

Disappointing
17 August 2017
The only thing I've previously seen Sean Bean in was The Frankenstein Chronicles, in which he was also a bit of a wet sop. So if he is capable of playing a strong, vital, engaging character, which he may well be, I haven't seen him do it. In this, I just found it unbelievable that such a great big hulk of a guy, reasonably good looking to boot, would be such a lacklustre, spineless, wimpy sort of character. It just didn't fit. I can't think who, but I would certainly have cast someone else to play this role. And although everyone else is carrying on about how sad it was, I didn't find it affecting at all, even when it should have been. And I found the final episode the most disappointing of the lot. The 5 stars are awarded for the quality of the production and the fact that I did watch it through to the end.
