I am not disappointed
26 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Despite the reviews I just read here, I liked the movie. It is a very interesting premise (makes one thinks what one's doing with their own time) and although it has some flaws, it keeps you entertained for the whole two hours. And I am happy that, again, the writer/director provided as explanation of what had happened (up to a certain level) instead of just ending the movie leaving the viewers believe this was an "art movie" that required no explanation. I was not disappointed!

Horrible screenplay
18 June 2022
The idea is original but was very badly executed. Starting with a lousy screenplay - full of clichés and unnecessary lines - and a dreadful direction. What a waste!

Such a disappointment!
22 October 2020
I was so looking forward to this new version of the novel (having read it several times) but I am very disappointed at the cast (mainly with Lily James and Arnie Hammer) and with the way they twisted the story around rushing from one scene to another without allowing for the characters to absorb the information they receive. Kristin Scott-Thomas played the role of Mrs Danvers exceptionally well, but that alone did not save the film.
