Good movie, lose the 4th wall
23 May 2021
This movie was quite good. I feel like some of the material could have been cut out. Overall, the adventure and thrill was all there. The acting and locations were amazing. The only thing that really bothered me was the constant breaking of the 4th wall. It can be cool if you do it once, but it looses its impact if it is continuous and becomes quite frustrating for the audience.

SEASON 2
20 May 2021
I was so excited for season two of this show for obvious reason. First it's quarantine and I have nothing to do and second, (pun intended) it's a special show. I felt like season 1 kinda left things hanging. And though, it was exciting to see where Ryan's story goes I was even more excited about Karen.

There were definitely some really good things about this show. Representation game was STRONG in season two, (we love to see it). Enganging in political issues and bringing light to topics (though some discussions were closed off too quickly). The best part of this show, which honestly I at first I felt a little weird about, maybe because we are not used to seeing it on TV - the REALISM. AHHH, for someone who is not a man and has not had gay sex, this just felt real. I have to applaud special for not glorifying sex the way it is so often done in TV. The awkwardness and rawness make the show, it is really brave to show that. And also, probably somewhat controversial, certainly it does feel sort of weird.

However, it was sad that Ryan did not discuss the effects of his disability properly with his boyfriend, who later makes a remark on that.

A couple negatives, as the depiction was realistic (for what a straight girl can know) it was also messy and confusing at that. At times, really annoying. I felt like the focused could have been shifted to Karen more at somepoints. Maybe there were a few too many unnecessary twists in Ryan's story. I really hope that if there is a third season it will be less chaotic and Ryan will go on to mature more, though he did mature in this season it still feels like he has a long way to go.

Overall, I do recommend the show, it is unexpected, fun and never before seen.

One of a kind - you'll just have to see for yourself

Mind blowing!

The story line is amazing. As a viewer I have no idea what is going to happen next. There are only three main characters whose personalities, secrets and relationships is the core of the show. The actors portray their characters perfectly. The mystery and suspense is held until the very last minute of the last episode. And the ending WILL NOT disappoint. From visual effects, editing, imagery, script to acting it is a masterpiece.

It all begins with Louise, a single mother from London. She is the 'normal person' who keeps the show together. As the main character the viewer is like Louise, intrigued by this odd couple and decides to get to the bottom of it. Not much more can be said about the story without giving it away. All I can say, it is something completely original.

CRINGE af
30 July 2020
One word - cringe. This movie was so bad I don't even know where to start. None of the characters are likable except maybe Chloe (who is a side character. Elle Evans is just a really annoying teen not worth the hype. Seriously why would someone want to be in a relationship with her. I don't want to sound mean but she is incredibly self-centered and irrational - I think she just needs to grow up and start thinking about others. And there is no character development.

Overall, most of the characters don't really have a personality and/or they bring nothing to the story. Rachel's character is not developed at all.

But despite all of the above what pissed me off the most was the cringy overacting Joey King (Elle Evans) and Joel Courtney (Lee Flynn) perform. Literally a five-year-old could do that and these people are getting paid for it.

I could go on all day critisizing this movie but yeah not worth my time. thanks for reading bye.

a flop :(
6 May 2020
Not the worst, but a lot of stereotypes that just really bug me. And the contrast either the characters are like Ashley ( a genious) or Tad (idiot). It seems to me there is no in between. This makes the show feel unnatural. I would really love to have a characters who are not dumb but also not child prodigies.

I will say, the idea behind the show was quite good, unfortunately poor execution ruined it.

Not a lesbian love story
1 May 2020
I'm in tears. I went into this movie expecting a lesbian love story after seeing the trailer. One might even say, the romances in the story were the least important. This is a love story, no doubt, but not what you would expect. It is a beautiful story about an unexpected friendship.

What I think the movie did especially well was that there was a really limited number of main characters and they had really put effort into creating the personalities for these characters. Usually characters like Aster (the beautiful love interest) are really vain and the viewer rarely gets to no them. The premise is also amazing in its simplicity - a senior year of high school in a small town.

Moreover, acting, directing, sound music was amazing. There is really nothing I would change. I kept trying to guess the plot subconsiously, but I never guessed right. I think the story wrapped up beautifully, maybe not in the traditional sense of happy ending but in its own way.

And I don't even like animes...
24 April 2020
WOW!!!

I don't even know where to start. The plot, the animation, the creativeness is like something I've never seen before. I'm not a fan of anime and I usually refuse to watch it. The characters are incredible and I just love that you have absolutely no clue what is going to happen next. I find that incredibly refreshing. I would even go so far as to call this an anime classic. Well who generally doesn't enjoy anime and I enjoyed this kids' movie so who's to say you won't. Strongly recommended

Lovesick: Abigail (Again) (2016)
Season 2, Episode 8
9/10
Abigail Abigail Abigail
24 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Oh it breaks my heart to watch this episode. All the characters are so genuine and likable. When I started watching this series I though Luke would be just the average douchy friend who sleeps with anything that moves and has no regard for feelings or relationships at all and all though and just look at how far he has come! And then of course Angus, I mean I reallllllyyy hated his character and his wife Helen, I thought it was so annoying and I didn't like the scenes between them at all. I think the twist was really unexpected, funny and he really deserves someone better than Helen. And he was surprisingly insightful in this episode.

But the reason I was annoyed and I did not rate this a 10/10. I realize at this point I have already bored you and you have stopped reading alas I will go on because why not. Three words - Dylan, Dylan Dylan! I realize the writers want to prolong the show but still isn't there another way than just prolong the inevitable romance between Evie and Dylan. It was just completely heartbreaking when Evie decided she has to break up with Mal because she is in love with Dylan and well if you haven't watched the episode you'll find out...

But overall an amazing episode I just think prolonging relationship like worth 2 seasons is maybe a bit much, sure some tv-shows have probably done it for longer but dear film makers can we just let go of these cliches
