House of Cards: Chapter 73 (2018)
Season 6, Episode 8

Worst thing I have ever watched
13 January 2024
I cackled out loud like a cartoon villain during this. This is THE worst ending to anything I have ever watched in my life. I honestly don't believe what I just watched. I'm dumbfounded.

Halfway through, I thought Claire was going to launch a nuclear strike and I was thinking about how awful of an ending that would be. In fact, while watching the whole episode, all I could think about is how the Mighty had fallen and how the show that kickstarted streaming became one of the worst shows on Netflix. The actual ending was 10x as bad as I could anticipate. Shows like this one usually suffer from a case of the writers checking out and not doing a good job because they know it's the last season. But House of Cards' ending is particularly egregious. Terrible terrible terrible ending.

The Magnum Opus of IASIP.

This is the best episode of It's Always Sunny I've seen. You know when something is so funny that your stomach hurts from laughing too hard? And then something happens right after that that makes you laugh even harder? Imagine having that feeling for 17 straight minutes. The best thing this episode does is utilize multiple running gags better than any show has in a single episode. And these aren't the most important gags. These are smaller gags that you probably forgot about like Jack's hands and Maureen being a cat.

After season 2 I never thought this show would hit that level of comedy again. This is episode somehow surpassed that. The writes and performers outdid themselves this episode. Take a bow!

That movie Adam made was hilarious.
12 August 2021
People are focusing too much on the politics of the episode rather than whether it was funny or not. It wasn't the funniest episode but it is funnier than most of the episodes from S7. And the movie is one of the funniest things from the season so far.

A New-Age Sci-Fi Classic
10 December 2017
For film fanatics like myself, The Last Jedi is a great film for people to see, regardless if they've witnessed the originals or not. On the other hand, if you've never seen the original Star Wars films and are just a casual moviegoer that have thought of the promotion for this film as being an action-packed thrill ride, then I'd have to warn to stay far away from this 2 and a half hour motion picture. It's very hard to review this film without getting into specific plot details, but that's exactly what makes this film worth the price of admission alone. For nearly every reason a film fan should be excited about a movie, here is why The Last Jedi is a must see as soon as possible.

Before dropping you into this world with our characters, there is text at the beginning that will fill you in on the history of the events in the past and what has taken place during the past time. But even though that information is given to you, your experience just won't be the same without having viewed the first film and remembering the emotional core of it. Rey's character uncovers mysteries and secrets from the past, inevitably involving Kylo and the First Order while training with Luke. Quite honestly, that's the plot in a nutshell and the specifics of the film will lead to ruining your experience, so let's get technical.

If not for anything else, The Last Jedi benefits from some of the best cinematography I've laid my eyes on in years. From the addition of the seamlessly blended visual effects, to the mind- blowing scenery constructed by the entire art department, I have nothing but praise for this film. Whether or not you find yourself enjoying your experience, the visuals alone should have you applauding, due to their incredibly detailed nature. I personally found the overall film to be magnificent, but when certain scenes were dialogue-free and asking you to gasp at the imagery, that's exactly what I was doing, as I feel many audiences members will.

Again, without giving anything away, once Kylo, Finn and Poe enter the picture, the way both stories sort of interconnect was brilliant in my opinion. It does justice to any loose ends that fans may have wanted in the past, as well as create a new story to gawk at in the process. With a terrifically restrained performance by Adam Driver, you'll find yourself sucked into this world as a fly on the wall, as he uncovers mysteries about Snoke. With the addition of Mark Hamill giving one of his most sincere and memorable performances, as well as Andy Serkis in a role that really took me by surprise, this film was cast to the nines from beginning to end. Some may complain about Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie not being included as much, but I felt as though the served the story quite nicely.

In the end, this movie aims to impress Sci-Fi fans and Star Wars fans across the world, but I feel as though the people who will be looking back on this as a possible classic or at least one of the best sequels ever made, are those who've had the pleasure of indulging in the greatness that is 1980's Empire Strikes Back. I don't say this about films very often, especially when talking about sequels, but I haven't been this immersed in a theatrical experience in quite some time. This is definitely a superior film than the previous, it's one of the better films of 2017, and I'll be revisiting it very soon. The Last Jedi is getting a lot of praise and awards consideration from critics and film goers across the world, and every bit of it is deserved. Aside from being very long, this is pretty much a perfect film if you don't try to nitpick how it connects and certain questions that aren't blatantly answered. If you know what type of film you're in for, or you've at least seen the original and enjoyed it, I can't recommend this movie enough.

Inhumans (2017)
A travesty against fans.
1 September 2017
Were to begin... This series is atrocious. The acting is dull and boring, the story is lazy, the characters are one dimensional, the CGI is awful and the production as a whole feels cheap.

One redeeming quality this has is Black Bolt. Anson Mount has a quite good physical performance. The dialogue of the other characters is almost as bad as the characters themselves. Awful. Would not recommend in any circumstance.

13 Reasons Why: Tape 6, Side B (2017)
Season 1, Episode 12
10/10
Very Engaging.
7 May 2017
It seemed like no matter what I did, I kept letting people down. I started thinking how everyone's lives would be better without me. And what does that feel like? It feels like nothing. Like a deep, endless, always blank nothing." - Hannah Baker

This is the first episode where the tape is the B-plot. Everybody else gets a lot more room to shine in this episode, and gets a lot more to say. Even Clay is a smaller player this episode, not doing much until the final 25 minutes. This really works for the most part, as we finally get some better understandings of where these characters are coming from.

The tape itself is about the final party that Hannah goes to before her suicide. It happens to be Bryce's party, which she goes to after she makes a huge mistake in accidentally losing a bunch of money that her parents entrusted her with. She goes, and at first has a good time, until Bryce enters the hot tub with her and eventually rapes her. Like the last time this happened, it's a well-done scene done with taste and tact. This is the event that pushes Hannah to make the tapes and to eventually kill herself a week after the party.

Clay's story this episode involves him going to Bryce's house in order to get a confession out of him about how he raped Hannah. He gets it, but at the cost of getting severely beaten up, and he celebrates by escaping Bryce's house. We don't see him after that, which makes me wonder what'll happen next, especially given the end of the episode. But we'll get there.

The rest of the teens involved with Hannah's tapes meet at Monet's in a sometimes hilarious and character building scene, in which they mostly agree to finally tell the police the truth. The entire truth. How that plays out will have to be seen in the next episode, but I'm hoping they actually do it and don't skimp out on it.

Justin gets thrown out of his house while Jessica tries to stop drinking, and something happens at the end of the episode. We hear ambulances going by Clay's house at night, and then we hear in the ambulance that a 17 year-old has been shot, and somebody is dying. We don't know who yet, but since we've got one more episode, I'm sure we're gonna find out.

All in all, this episode is a really good one. It doesn't compare to some recent ones, or the last episode, but it does manage to effectively set things up for the finale, and manages to craft an entertaining and well-written story to boot. There's only 60 minutes left in 13 Reasons Why, how do they all tie it up?

+The truth is finally coming out

+Character development

+The Monet's scene

+Bryce's story

+The Killing Moon

+Great writing

9.6/10.

The Best Batman and Superman the World has Seen.Better that Nolan's Trilogy
23 March 2016
After Man of Steel most people were satisfied. Some were okay with the movie but many disliked it. This movie redeems Man of Steel and has made people I know who kind of disliked it love it. PS It might make you cry. And if you were worried the trailers spoiled too much you are in for it!

Lets Start with Lex Luthor. Show stealer for sure. He is maniacal and plus all the string. He is crazy and has the capability to cause more destruction than Superman did in Mos. He is intriguing and Jesse Eisenberg delivers a stellar performance. It goes to show how a mere man can pose such a threat to Superman. Leading us to Batman.

My Lord were the people who doubted Ben Affleck wrong. Hilariously wrong. This is the darkest most sadistic Batman EVER!! Also the most comically accurate as well. His fighting is outstanding. He take out a room of thugs with his HANDS in SECONDS. It was phenomenal to watch and I am amped for Ben Affleck's stand alone Batman movie.

Not too much to say about Wonder Woman but she is fearsome. Gal Gadot's voice makes it a little hard to hear at some times but the fighting is fearsome and her entry(not as Diana but a WW) is incredible. It was the part with the most praise from the audience in the movie. Top Notch Performance.

Henry Cavill still proves to be my favorite Superman yet. His emotion when dealing with Lex and his own actions in Man of Steel is breath taking. Literally (like i said there may be tears). His fighting looks a lot less like a video game and the acting chops are a lot better than in MoS. Plus we get the Superman hair curl in the 2nd act.

On other Characters. Lois Lane and Perry were better than before. Martha Kent provided a very somber tone to the story (in a good way). There are some cameos from other Superheroes.

All in a phenomenal job by Snyder and Terrio. I am sure you'll love this movie whether you liked Man of Steel or not.
