Rob Marshall is a brilliant director! The entire staff of the film should receive nothing but praise! The producers, writers, cinematographers, production, everybody! Ken W. (The Chairman) , has unlimited talent!! He is a magnificent actor (in both Chinese and Japanese roles!! Ie..The Last Samurai). Give credit where credit is due!!! To ALL THE actors and actresses!! The story told was so moving, creative, and the detail a work of pure genius! I would like to address the negative comments: Firstly, there are only a handful of WWII Veterans left alive, and even fewer that were stationed in Japan. Do you know exactly how people thought? Acted? Another outstanding credit to Rob Marshall and staff! The research that went into the making of this beautiful film!! There have been several movies made about WWII...that have all WHITE actors...yet no credit given to the Black Soldiers...or Japanese Americans (100th Infantry Regiment). Nobody seems to complain when movies depict white Soldiers liberating Dacau..they did not! Neither did Joseph Stalin! And what about Elizabeth Taylor playing Cleopatra?

This movie is DISGUSTING!!! The entire plot encompasses a vulgar, untrue nature of the Czech community. I am an American, and feel like all Eli Roth movie's make us look horrible! Do not watch this movie....you have much better things to do!

Peter Jackson is a genius! And all us Veterans appreciate what he has put together for" They Shall Not Grow Old". The footage is amazing! Not only because it was done in color, but real heroes are narrating. You get a truer sense of what life was like. Not only in the trenches, but what it was like to go to a Brothel for the first time, what it was like to capture German POW's, and the absolute heartbreak to see your buddy die right next to you. The narrator's explain all the nasty things, terror filled things that went on. They also describe that ALL the men pulled through together. This is a very important documentary...there are no men and women left alive from WWI. Thank you Mr. Jackson....and THANK YOU to all the men and women who served!

I gave it a 6 for Karl Urban and Al Pacino. This could have been a good thriller had the pace been faster/even. I gave it a 6 for Ms. Snow crying real tears... other than that....I just feel like everyone else...a movie that could have been great.

The Native American Indians and ALL Indigenous people's have had a perfect balance with the Universe and all its elements for thousands of years! These magnificent, beautiful, vanishing peoples have fused the stars, sun, moon, animals, plants and oceans, seas, rivers and lakes with powerful ancient knowledge, passed down for centuries and generations. How to fish all the waters, in abundance without depleting or polluting, hunting any mammal and using every bit of it with no waste. Making natural fire breaks to prevent the millions of acres of trees, land, rivers from becoming a vast forest fire. If we would go back to the natural way's of Earth's primary cares, so many of these "expensive colossal scientific research projects", could be used for the number one thing on this glorious planet: The Human Being ...to love our neighbors and treat everyone (including animals, the planet..all encompassing) as you want to be treated.

Not only does the camera move up and down, left and right... difficult to watch. I really like Stephen Merchant and he deserves a much better movie! The real Spider Trilogy is amazing! (Kinda like when they ruined The Secret in their Eyes...the Spanish version is superior!)

I hope this show gets another go! Did they drop it due to Game of Thrones? I don't know but I really think the entire cast deserves a second season and alot more!! This early century drama is not "typical" at all. It displays what families went through to eat, gain shelter, survive! There is hardship, yes, but on top of the mystery is loyalty, friendship, courage and love.
