I Am Jazz: Boys Aren't Nice to Her (2015)
The Boy Dilemma
This episode brings up a very important issue...a trans-gender girl and heterosexual boys! This is most likely the Top issue you will deal with in your life! What boy will be attracted to me? Well Jazz, you are a beautiful young lady and no one would have any inkling or suspicion that you're trans-gendered unless you tell them. I am sure without a doubt, that all people that see you, know you are a girl...You are a Girl Jazz! But you are human and have human feelings. You want to be fully accepted the way you are with or without surgery. You want to make this a non-issue in your life...but unfortunately it is an issue you will always have to contend with because of the way society is now. But shows like your's "I am Jazz" will make it much easier for us because it's educating the viewers about what being trans-gendered is all about. Later on you will want to full in love and be kissed, hugged and held...every human needs the human touch! A boy or girl will be attracted to your beauty and personality, and they might want to be your friend and maybe later go on a date with you. Do you tell them up front or do you wait and see how the relationship blossoms. Each situation is different depending the other person's views of sexuality and their religious beliefs. Some people might say, if you don't tell them your trans-gendered up front...they call you a liar and that you deceived them. To others that you might date, they will not care about your physical attributes because they love you Jazz, the person inside...that's who they love and want to be with. It's like finding a needle in a haystack, because percentage wise there are so few of us and others that don't care about whether or not were trans-gendered compared to the rest of the world. Other boys or girls maybe attracted to you and want to be with you, but they are afraid of what their friends or families might think or say. They may be rejected by them if they become your friend...it's not there fault. Everyone is so afraid of what other people think and that should be totally disregarded. We live the lives we want to live and not based upon other peoples point-of-views...that's Freedom of Life! But if someone truly loves you Jazz for you and not the shell of a body that hosts your being and soul...that is the right person for you regardless of their own sexuality (male or female) I don't like labels, like gay, lesbian, queer or trans-gender...society labels us and I think that is wrong...we are who we feel we are and there is nothing wrong with that. I feel I have always been a girl and didn't transition to later on in life...no one knows by looking at me that I was once a male...but I have no past/history that I can proudly show people that I grew up as a girl, so I hide that. Your so fortunate that you transitioned early because of your loving and supportive parents. I guess going online and being public about myself is helping me cope. If it wasn't for your show "I am Jazz" that would not have been possible for me to do. I thank you for the opportunity you gave me! I lost almost my entire family when I came out to them and by the time some of them accepted me, they were on their death bed and I missed so many years of my family's company. You have a difficult road ahead, but you have it much easier with the love and support of your family and friends and your show will certainly help many people, including me! Remember "true" love of another human being shouldn't be based on their outer appearance or physical attributes whether or not born male, female. I hope my comments can help you and others that are struggling live a life of freedom and happiness! Much Love always Jazz! Tracy
I Am Jazz (2015)
Best Transgender TV Show to Explain What's It's All About to be Trangendered
This is a Great Show, because it shows the average family with a teenage child struggling with the many questions and few answers about being trans-gendered. The family and friends are loving and very supportive...this is unconditional love at it's finest! Their there to support their child and friend who was born trans-gendered ...that's right born trans-gendered...this is not a choice, just like others did not choose to be heterosexual. We didn't choose our physical attributes like the color of our eyes, or how many fingers we have, or whether were autistic or not...people are born this way from birth. Unfortunately, we have the ignorant people that don't have a clue or their religious beliefs do not allow them to love, support people that are different than them and don't share their views. Please read my review concerning Season 1 Episode 9 at this link. TLC you need to keep "I am Jazz" on the air and don't worry about "A Million Moms" who represent a small fraction of our Country. They need to either support others, or mind their own business. It's Jazz's life not theirs. They need to look and police their own backyard like the Duggars instead of condemning a 14-year girl and her family and friends that love her so much! Boy Meets Girl (2014)
Review for Boy Meets Girl (2014) - Excellent! A Must See Film!
This was the Most Positive and Most Memorable film ever written and produced about a Transgendered girl...Ricky! Writer/Director Eric Schaeffer deserves many accolades for bringing this story to the Big Screen! The film, along with a wonderfully selected cast of characters such as; Ricky played by (Michelle Hendley), Francesca (Alexandra Turshen), Robby (Michael Welch), David (Michael Gallant), Hank (Randall Newsome) Sam (Joseph Ricci) and the rest of the fine cast has brought this important issue to the forefront of society. This film helps to explain to many people on what being trans-gendered is all about! It shows the difficult hurdles and barriers that trans-gendered people encounter in their daily lives. Many people think people choose to be trans-gendered and that is certainly not true. Just like you don't choose to be heterosexual! Your born that way! I will not get into the details of this film, but I can assure you, it's enlightening, funny and very enjoyable to watch! If your trans-gendered or know someone that is, this is the film to see! It will show you that society is making progress in accepting trans-gendered people because of writer/director Eric Schaeffer! Remember, trans-gendered people are human too deserving the same love and respect as any other human being on Earth. I would like to thank all of the actors/actresses and the entire film crew and the many others involved in putting together such a beautiful, funny, and loving film! I also would like to personally thank my friends Eric Schaeffer, Kathleen Sheehan, Elisa Pugliese, and Paul Tabachneck for their hard work, dedication and unwavering support to the trans-gendered community! I hope Eric writes many more films like this! He is an excellent writer/director and actor!
I Am Jazz: We Don't Read the Comments (2015)
"I Am Jazz: We Don't Read the Comments (#1.9)" (2015)
I love the show "I am Jazz!" The show is written in such a way to help people understand about what it's like to be trans-gendered. It displays the many difficulties, stress and anxiety that trans- gendered people experience everyday of their lives. They worry if their family and friends will accept them. They wonder how they can fit-in with society to survive in this world of ours. Will they be able to go to school or get a job without being harassed or bullied? It was very unfortunate that you received negative comments and death threats by those that are ignorant or because of their religious beliefs. But that is the world we live in today! If we are forced to live our lives in fear or hide from the negative comments and threats because of our gender identity or gender orientation, than we will never be truly happy and free! I think Jazz's parents are very loving and supportive and wish other parents were like them too! I think that they should read the reviews...all of them with Jazz and explain that the show "I am Jazz" will help change those negative comments into more positive ones! Love and protect Jazz, but don't over protect. She needs to know what the "real" world is about. Also, there is the issue of who she wants to love when she gets older. To me, the human body is a shell, it is the person inside that body is who we should love regardless of the physical attributes of one gender over another. All people are human and all humans need to be loved!
Jazz and her generation will make it happen, and the show "I am Jazz" is just the beginning! I'm a parent too and I worry about my son everyday. But we need shows like yours to help educate society to accept people, no matter what gender they are or identify with. Many Kudos for the courage and strength from Jazz, her parents, family and her friends. I thank TLC and it's writers and the rest of the cast and crew in making this show possible! Keep "I am Jazz" on the air and produce more shows like this! Your programming can really help our society! TLC, Jazz or her parents are more than welcome to contact me about my comments! Thank you!
