Locke & Key (2020–2022)

A show full of "Why would you do that"?

A family moves to an old house searching for a new life. It was an old house of the family that kept magical keys hidden. The children enjoy playing with the keys but some people want to take them away from them. This is the main plot of the show.

The idea itself and the filming is good. However, the writing and the acting are not up to the challenge.

As to the acting, it seem as if the actors were trying to act bad on purpose. The way the move, they interact with each other an talk seem too forced.

Regarded the writing, they ruined a great idea. All the time you are thinking "Why TF would you do that?". The characters finally get out of trouble but they find a way to complicate themselves in the most ridiculous way. If they hadn't been so stupid, the show would have ended in 15 minuts.

Dispite all this, I watched until the end in orden to find out how it all ended up.

Cowboy Bebop (1998–1999)

I usually don't write reviews, but I'm watching the show for the 15th time and I think it deserves it.

What makes this anime great is a combination of many little things that may not be outstanding by themselves alone.

The story is alright, is located in space, in the future and after the earth is no longer populated, and tell you about the adventures of a group of space bountyhounter. As the story goes on, you discover the history of each character and what made them be as they are.

This is the first positive thing, I love the characters, their personalities and their histories.

The second little thing that makes it great is the animation. The show is from 1998 and this kind of animation is almost lost. On the one hand, I love old animation; on the other, I find this extremely nostalgic.

The last thing I love is the musicalization. The whole show is accompanied by an amazing Jazz. The romantic parts, the action parts, the suspense parts, they come all with the right music.

There are some episodes where the main story doesn't advance at all but I enjoy them anyway due to all this I'm telling you.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018–2020)

Started out great

The first two seasons were enjoyable and entertaining. The old Sabrina from a new angle, darker and focused on the magic rather than on teenage life. The story developed well and showed a lot of potencial. During the third season, however, they created a situation so difficult to resolve, that they ended up fixing it in a ridiculous way. Even though the final was not as I expexted, it's a good serie ti watch with a bowl of popcorn. Good scenario, good acting, decent script, poor final.
