Go West (2023)

Hilarious movie!

I laughed almost non-stop throughout this movie. I've been a big fan of this cast since their Studio C beginnings and seeing them come up with this much material was amazing. I had tears in my eyes by the end of it.

Know that it is essentially a compilation of skits tied together in an overall story. This actually played out well since they were able to demonstrate a lot of random humor.

This is definitely not for small kids, not due to inappropriate content, but because they will most likely get bored. The humor is intended for older audiences.

A couple of scenes get a little slow, but overall this movie is a lot of fun!

I love the idea of these stories coming to life. Overall, it was a great concept film of amazing quality. I did have a few problems with it, though. First off, it was too gory to be considered a family film. I felt uncomfortable with the unnecessary blood, bone breaking, and the stabbing related noise and I don't think I would have wanted my kids watching it. Second, some parts were a little cheesy and overly dramatized. Third, Darin Southam is a great actor but he did not fit the part of Moroni or Captain Moroni. I did love the costumes, the acting overall, and the way the film stayed true to the Book of Mormon. Very well done!
