Fool Me Once (2024)
If you can see past the silly bits, it's really enjoyable
I watched it all in a day! Kept me gripped through out, even through the slower parts.
I've not read the book, but I've watched most of the other Harlan Coben adaptations, and it's very similar to those. Gripping like the stranger, full of twists like the Five.
Some of the acting is a bit iffy, but generally very enjoyable. I would say if you can see past the acting which is in parts seems a bit over the top, and the parts that don't seem to make any sense to the story - but later make sense, that it's a good watch.
My only complaint was the last episode seemed a bit rushed, compared to all the others it was only 35 minutes long, but it was probably just wrapping up the story.
The Little Mermaid (2023)
Very, very enjoyable.
As a huge disney fan and being a fan of the original since a small child - came out in the year I was born, I very enjoyed this film and felt like it did the original justice.
Obviously nothing will ever be the same as an original, but there was nothing not to enjoy, the music and characters were absolutely spot on, just a different take.
If I could moan about anything I feel like it could have been cut a little bit shorter, 2h 15min for a film essentially made for children is long.
Also - big shout out to Melissa McCarthy, scene stealer! She was absolutely fantastic.
I will watch again when available.
The Traitors UK (2022)
Gripping, amazing show.
I binge watched this in less than 2 days. Just amazing show honestly. The whole concept is gripping.
I found myself routing for the last remaining traitor - not sure if that says anything about me!
I loved it. Its one of those things I wish I'd never watched so I could re watch it again.
Trying the US version now, but I expect it to be subpar of course.
Watch this if you have a spare couple of days to watch something and you're into the reality side of TV.
Also, can I just say- Claudia was absolutely amazing and a big factor in what kept me watching, she just seemed like she was having the best time.
The Last of Us: Part II (2020)
A review from someone who actually finished the game.
I understand where a lot of the hate for this game is coming from, but I just can't agree. At the beginning of the game, there is a bitter pill to swallow in Joel dying, but what comes after is still pretty good! The gameplay is amazing, the graphics are some of the best I've ever seen, and the story pleased me. There was a few iffy points, especially when it came to playing Abby's side of the story. But all in all, I really enjoyed the game, and after playing the first one again, I will replay this one.
